Yes, some "here" were speaking of Prague, & other cities that endured wars, some of which suffered irreparable losses & destruction

Prague is a still-beautiful city that was miraculously spared ruination by war, though occupied.
And they remember - as does Poland and other nearby countries. (Some of us far away but interested in history, too.)

Shattered...

From a friend/colleague who (barely) escaped Russia, as the "special operation" (AKA "genocide by Putin") began. Now in Ukraine.

And as today there are Trump-like disinformation rallies celebrating the great successes, defending against *Ukrainian Nazis" and handing out food and flowers to the Ukrainian civilians (the official picture being painted via their Fox-like version of official "news")

I've cried my eyes out during these days when I had to spend my days hiding in the bathroom when I heard the sound of rockets and bombs, when I had to leave my city and move to another one to finally be safe. It's hard to fall asleep sometimes, your head is full of thoughts about the future that might not exist, about your loved ones that might be harmed. After this song I got the stoic and decadently optimistic feeling that everything is going to be alright eventually and I will get through this as I always did. I listened to Michelle's songs when I was extremely happy, when I was gravely depressed and I'm listening to this miracle now. Thank you, Michelle.

#SethMeyers should get a Nobel and/or journalism &/or comedy prize for this, taking on so many gross horrors happening at once, from the Fox/Russia disinformation echoes distorting reality bigly, in Russia, to our own home-grown (Carlson/Fox promoted) cult leadership of Lord StableGenius’ and the “alternate universe” cult, including Lindell et al. “Fringe, paranoid thinking” and the parallels between Trump/Fox SOP and that of Tsar Putin the Terrible. Something for everyone, a few pokes at Biden’s style & stage whisper, but contrasted with Fox’s Bartiromo shrieking about what she heard over the weekend, which Seth captures incredibly well.

Another major popular lie of the war was debunked by CNN.

So it seems like the Russian media showing the sailors surrendered and were taken off the island was not propagate, but the truth and "Russian ship, go fuck yourself" was a other Jessica Lynch story!

Once again the old cliche of "the first casually of war is the truth" is proven valid!

But at least they are welcomed by the neighboring countries and will receive help.

Unlike the Irqis, Afghans, Syrians, Sudanese, Yemenis and Palestinians who no one wants to help.
