This is the #TemperateHouse, which, as per its name, contains #plants from #Temperate regions of the world.
As it's #winter, this #pergola looks a bit bare but I'm sure that it provides a nice shaded seating area during #Summer.

Ah, that was a great weekend with my old friends from school. We went sledging down from the Melchsee-Frutt. That was my second time snow sporting in my life and still it felt awesome. But still it was a horrible trip for me to take the gondola up the hill because of my fear of heights. But luckily I made it.

I visited #KewGardens the other day (if you want the formal name, they're the Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew) in London. It's a large site in outer #London, technically #Surrey. It has plants from all over the world and has many large #GlassHouses to simulate various climatic conditions.
This one dates back to the mid nineteenth century and is called the #PalmHouse and houses #tropical plants.
The conditions inside are hot and humid and there there are plants like #banana plants, #bamboo and #palms in there.
The plants are well looked after and are curated into geographical regions. They are densely packed and a better way to see them if from a first-floor walkway, about 3-4 m up.
