Happy Good Friday/Easter!

I apologize I've not found (m)any new photos to post recently, as I've been repairing my camera, lens & self. But...
here's a souvenir from my last visit to a favorite Old Cypress swamp.

And... I've planned a trip to a new spot for me, one of the world's biggest swamps, and the furthest South in the U.S. By car, boat, and foot, hopefully some new things soon (April). Happy Holidays (and spring!)

Green Heron

Here is a somewhat reclusive and relatively rare bird in SW Florida, but there's active courting and nesting happening for sure.
I've never seen this before, a little spring time courting going on, as this one stops looking for fish and starts seriously preening.

Here is a heron, amid shadow, light & lines...
One of the few #nature photos which adds something in the black & white (contrast? time travel? timelessness? depth?)
I like the hue of the colo(u)r one also, these two shots taken simultaneously. I like the reeds in the black/white one (Acros). ☯️
