I've finally sorted, thinned and viewed weeks' worth of images from the Florida swamps.
From the southern Everglades, as far South as I could get, I headed Northwest to Corkscrew Swamp.

This is the first image from there, and destined to be the title page on a home-made 'collection'. A start... More to come.

It's a lovely swamp... 🐊

Trees With Knees

No knees here, a bit further north (near Naples) but I like the many forms and colors, and that clear blue blue water.

I think I'm enjoying "different" & "abstract." Realism is lovely in the streets and cities, but I'm a bit saturated with birds & gators. ;)

Beauty.vs. the Beast(s) - so much of the latter in courts and on screens everywhere. Except here, in the real swamp.

The TRUMP Rules: Congressional Reform Act of 2017

No Tenure / No Pension. A Congressman/woman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they're out of office. And, no more perks go with them.

Congress (past, present, & future) participates in Social Security. All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people. It may not be used for any other purpose.

Congress must purchase their own retirement plan, just as ALL Americans do.

Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.

Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people (i.e. NO MORE INSIDER TRADING!!!).

All contracts with past and present Congressmen/women are void. The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen/women. Congress made all these contracts by and for themselves.

Serving in Congress is an honor and privledge NOT a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators should serve their term(s), then go home and go back to work … not get all kinds of freebies.

NO WONDER THEY’RE FIGHTING EVERYTHING HE TRIES! Pass it on!!!! Let's help TRUMP drain the swamp!! Just hold your finger down then hit forward and send it to everyone you know. Let’s help trump get the country straightened out.

Happy Good Friday/Easter!

I apologize I've not found (m)any new photos to post recently, as I've been repairing my camera, lens & self. But...
here's a souvenir from my last visit to a favorite Old Cypress swamp.

And... I've planned a trip to a new spot for me, one of the world's biggest swamps, and the furthest South in the U.S. By car, boat, and foot, hopefully some new things soon (April). Happy Holidays (and spring!)

Something for Bench SwampDay!

This has become my very favorite bench spot, revisited now.
Perfect for a brief sit-down after hiking a while in the heat. Snack. Water.

This is my vision of the ideal Cypress Swamp. A little ways back, on the thin hiking trail which is "Alligator Alley", trees and gators on either side, there appears that beautiful Cypress tree with knees, plus Spanish Moss. And a little island, with a sign I can only imagine.Then the light opens up & the swamp morphs into an edge of Lake Hancock. Nice view / #bench #BenchSaturday #Fenfotos
