Second day in a row of me not wanting to do my daily workouts. Yesterday I could rationalize not doing because I was on 2.5 hours of sleep. Today no such rationalization. Time to get to it! Tempo run here I come! #fitness #running

Despite it being way hotter and twelve years later I actually managed to PR on my 10K this morning by a few seconds. Same average heart rate too. Stoked! Of course being central Florida with 79 F temps and 84% humidity it looks like I got out of a pool lol. #running #fitness

So…not only does my running coach think I can safely train up for a full marathon for the second half of December but wants to know what goal time I want to target. I’m finding it exhilarating and intimidating at the same time. Good times #running

I’ve been running this path under this tree all season. With autumn approaching it was the first time it didn’t have leaves. So I got to see this “interesting” feature that’s been just several feet above my head. Yikes! #running

The Strength Running Podcast guy, Jason Fitzgerald, just released a training and race day(s) tip video for the Disney Dopey Challenge Marathon series. The video title is misleading since it isn't about if it is "bad for runners" in general. I think that was addressing the concept of it's bad for runners looking to do a high performance/PR race throughout them. For that aspect he says if you are looking to do a performance race in the series it'll be best to pick the 5K or the Full Marathon. Best advice among several tips is to make sure to get some back to back long runs into the training. #running #disney #DopeyChallenge

My personal running tip for the day: I try to always run my routes as an out and back, even if I could run it as a circuit around the neighborhood. It equals out any systemic asymmetry of road grading, common turns, etc. #running #fitness

My new running coach has me running by perceived effort not heart rate any longer. When I was focusing on Zone 2 work my biggest question was if heart rate drift during hot runs mattered. TL;DR maybe not but it depends. Very informative podcast. #fitness #running https://strengthrunning.com/2024/06/brady-holmer/

I was hoping May would be pretty strong except for planned lapses in diet for Memorial Day, family events, etc. Unfortunately I had major faltering in exercise and the return of the mindset why every day is the day not to workout. I successfully fought against it most days but not all. As I’m adding more intensive training with a running trainer I’m deciding how to practically build in full rest days but regain the daily exercise mindset #GoalAccountability #longevity #running

I did my first heavy leg day in a month, but not as heavy as the last one that I felt fo ra week. I was pretty tight yesterday morning so did an easy run but followed by lots of walking throughout the day. I'm feeling it a lot more today. Time to work out the beef jerky! #running #exercise #fitness
