A Never-Before-Seen System For Burning 'Deep Fat' Has Been Found in Mouse Studies
A series of new experiments on mice have revealed a key process by which the brain and immune system communicate to burn deep stores of visceral fat.
It's the first time scientists have identified a neuro-immune pathway directly linked to fat control, and while the findings are limited to mice, the authors are hopeful the system extends to other mammals, like humans, too...

Molecules Produced by Gut Bacteria Could Help The Human Body Fight Cancer | Science Alert

Scientists have discovered that molecules produced by stomach bacteria could give the human body a helping hand when it comes to the immune system, even going so far as to help fight tumors.
"The results are an example of how metabolites of intestinal bacteria can change the metabolism and gene regulation of our cells and thus positively influence the efficiency of tumor therapies," says immunologist Maik Luu from University Hospital Würzburg in Germany.
