There was a stabbing by a non-Muslim two weeks ago where a man killed 5 women and a male security guard at a shopping centre in Sydney. This was not censored. A muslim stabs a christian orthodox minister, and they want it censored. The Labour Party, which is in charge Federally and also 5 out of 6 states and both territory's, is Australias own brand of the Democratic party. I am a tradesman and was a union member, and i do not support Labor, who is very entrenched with the unions. Like the US, i see trade unions and the middle / working class moving away from Labor. Unfortunately, the Liberal party is not a great alternative.
Remember the "3Ds" of social control - keep the people Distracted, Divided, and Disarmed.

We used to make fun of Fool's Gold. Now, it might fuel the future.

Fool's gold or #iron-pyrite — a common mineral that resembles its precious counterpart — may be more valuable than scientists originally thought, as it has been found to be abundant in #lithium.

Lithium is vital to the future development of green energy. This is because the material, which is highly reactive, is a key element in batteries — including of the kind used in electric vehicles (hence the name, lithium ion batteries).

Due to this, demand for lithium is soaring. The precious resource can be extracted from brines — and also mined in select locations including #Argentina, #Australia, #Bolivia, #Chile and #China. But scientists have now found it in an apparently undervalued #mineral.

The strange discovery was made after a team of researchers from West Virginia University set out to see whether lithium could be extracted with alternative industrial operations.

They found an abundance of lithium in the pyrite minerals in shale — a sedimentary rock made from mud.

For the last 4 years, the Tasmanian Museum of Old and New Art has been running an installation called The Ladies Lounge. Only people who identify as ladies are allowed to enter. In the lounge, they can sit in luxury and look at famous artworks by Picasso etc, which are not available elsewhere in the museum. They are served champagne and pampered by male butlers. It was meant as a comment on exclusionary men's clubs (which still exist in Australia and elsewhere).

Some dude got upset about it and sued the gallery for entry at the anti-discrimination tribunal. The artist, Kirsha Kaechele, said she was "absolutely delighted" that the exhibit had been taken to court. “The men are experiencing Ladies Lounge, their experience of rejection is the artwork,” she said.

She then turned the tribunal hearing into part of the art as well, by having a group of women observing the hearing dress like her and mimic her every move. They did not disrupt the hearing, and at the end of proceedings they exited the tribunal to the song Simply Irresistible.

Kaechele argued in her defence the Ladies Lounge was “a response to the lived experience of women forbidden from entering certain spaces throughout history” and promoted equal opportunity.

The tribunal found against the gallery and is ordering them to allow men to enter the exhibit. MONA is removing the exhibit instead.
