4pm and a bit further. Research, try, repeat. Steps forth, steps back. But at least not running in circles. The lower a level of technology, the more unfamiliar, uncanny all surroundings feel. And the more dusty, rusted everything to come across seems to be. At the very end, maybe there's still an engineer in everything technical, and it always boils down to descending into an engine room to fix crucial problems. Steampunk moods under a chilling wind.

Tucker CArlson Destroys Legacy Media

...

"The total for all of these shows combined is just shy of 32 million. Remember, back in 1968 Walter Cronkite drew an average of 27 million viewers just for his broadcast. Compare that to Tucker’s numbers — as of 9:06 pm Saturday night (eastern standard time) is 186 million views. In other words, Tucker is attracting 6 times more viewers than ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox News, CNN, and MSNBC combined. And he is not spending one dime on advertising trying to attract viewers."

#BadGear - #Roland #System-8 - #AudioPilz

top

Welcome to #Bad #Gear, the show about the world's most hated #audio #tools. Today we are going to talk about Roland System-8. Is this soon abandoned flagship #synthesizer, little sibling of #System-1, part of the Roland #Aira range, #virtual #analog #synth, Roland #Cloud plugout host and overall eye-sore a #future #classic or just another #expensive #plastic #toy? Is it worthy of the rich Roland #Jupiter-8 and Roland #Juno-106 #legacy?

Welcome to #Bad #Gear, the show about the #world's most hated #audio #tools. Today we are going to talk about the Arturia MiniBrute 2. Is this #eurorack #compatible #analog #synthesizer and successor to the #original Arturia MiniBrute worthy of its #legacy? Is it the #best #beginner #instrument for #modular #synthesis?
Thanks to Klangfarbe for letting me use one of their floor models

A Hero for the Ages

"The #WikiLeaks #publications that #Assange is being charged for are amongst the most important #truthful #revelations of #hidden-criminal-state-behavior to have been made public in #US #history." #DanielEllsberg #quote

#Ellsberg risked everything to bring an end to the savage #US #war on #Vietnam. And his #whistleblowing did help end that conflict. He’s continued to advocate for his contemporary equivalents like #Snowden, #Manning, #JulianAssange.
What a #legacy. A #hero for the ages.
