Well @Kathryn Barr's black bananas (qv) actually made some pretty good #chocolate chip-banana #muffins. Even though the bananas baked up like tasteless cardboard, they were fine in the muffins. Lesson learned: don't buy green #bananas as sometimes they just stay green and never ripen.
