On a serious note, as both psychologist, #SocialMedia observer, and #GooglePlusRefugee who saw eight years of engagement, interaction, time investment in communities, collections, etc, only to see it just blown up, with a warning setting off a flourish of activity to save archives, 'signal flares' to let people know where to find you, and looking for a new "homeland" offering the same blend of people plus 'bells & whistles'....
It was traumatic for many, as is the case now on Twitter, more of a Schrodinger's cat just now, as it's not set to completely implode, though some argue it already has. So my strong suggestion is for those 'hanging on', hoping or waiting or just fed up with ch-ch-ch-changes.... is to note where people are heading (if you're a regular/avid Twitter user) and sample some of the options, be it Fediverse ('here', Mastodon, or 'other'), or Post (least active/interactive but with some news/literary org presence), as prime destinations. Post Google+ many returned to FB/IG, reddit, Federated hubs, etc, and many got swept into MeWe (which still falsely speaks of "public" posts but is active, with groups & tons of emojis, and an easy interface for phones. It's pretty.)
So.... ch-ch-ch-changes, and a very serious and confusing time for many who have long considered the (@ real) Twitter to be home, or a home.

The submersible story is a 'big tragedy' given all the military and science resources being deployed, and the scientific & historic aspects of the Titanic, obviously. Yet, truth be told, as the CEO himself was fond of saying how "safety" concerns were overblown, and the passengers had the money to burn while clearly knowing there was risk... Well... sad for friends/family, yes. Lessons learned? 🤷♂️

CNN chief executive Chris Licht, who faced growing public criticism and declining staff morale following several programming blunders and his own disparaging comments about the network’s journalism, was fired Wednesday, capping one of the shortest tenures for a CEO at the cable network.

CNN's rotted out too of late 🙁 - another story about #media which is complex, but truly, #CNN is now "Fox lite" - at a time even Fox original is losing its "base", as the basest of the #TrumpVirus base go elsewhere to remain in the bubble of cult delusion & dog whistles. I've tried to watch, a few times, finding only Fox-like chatterboxes on couches, there for unknown reasons, some variants mixed in among actual experts, seemingly for "show". Saw Scaramucci discussing UFO's with Tyson. Done.

I just hit upon a complete guess but envision (IMM) a probable situation behind today's legal shocker in D.C. (as NY hit "pause")
Context: Trump lawyer Evan Corcoran has now been ordered to "pierce" normal client-attorney privacy protections, under the "crime/fraud" exception, as a judge reviewed evidence, 'in camera' (non-publicly) and came out giving Corcoran until midnight today with a reaction to the request to pierce the privilege, given what must be a compelling appearance of serious criminality.
The appeal judge gave Jack Smith / DOJ, until 6AM today to rebut/review the order and evidence.
The judge has now decided the attorney MUST testify. [CNN Story]
What was so powerful, shocking, compelling, etc that Jack Smith had to do an all-nighter and have a statement by 6AM. (He did.)
I'm getting a strong 'feeling' based on the human reaction to content we'll likely never see - but it seems likely, #TrumpVirus being so consistent, that Trump went on a tirade or two to his lawyer, like
"I don't give a F--- how you do it, but you tell them there aren't any more documents here, F them.... They're MY f'n gifts and souvenirs. And you know, I'm not making anything from schlepping this s-tt to Mar-a-lago. I'll bet I could sell some of this for a fortune... The preceding is a fantasy based on actual facts. What strikes me is if he ranted about the docs and foreign actors, that's #treason.
So I still think we're close to seeing mental condition as the last way out, and I believe that judge has heard some ghastly damning and scary stuff, to the point of giving urgent orders to get to some #truth iness.
