Secretariat of the UN Security Council, by sending a note to the member states of the UN, officially ends the provisions of clauses 3, 4 and 6 of Annex B of Resolution 2231, including missile tests, restrictions on the export and import of #missile items to Iran

#US and #EU have chosen to keep the #sanctions and even adding to them.

President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen: The Islamic Republic of Iran is 'fueling chaos' in Middle East and it's time for stronger #sanctions against it

Ok, I hate the IRI and the freaking mullahs, but this disgusting woman really making me sick.

She is more hypocrite than Thatcher, at least she was brave enough to show how despicable she was. This week acts like she has class integrity and moral values.

#IAEA: "Iran has informed agency of its decision to withdraw the designation of several experienced agency inspectors".

“This profoundly regrettable decision by Iran is another step in the wrong direction”.

This came a day after US imposed #sanctions against 25 individuals and 4 news agencies of #IRI regime.

There are no reports of it having anything to do with the actions taken by Iran, but the timing is surely strange.

This will definitely have an impact on the rumored plans for #US and Iran signing the new #JCPOA with support of European nations, #China and #Russia.

During his visit to #Russia, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un visited an aircraft plant in #Komsomolsk-on-Amur. Together with his delegation, he visited the assembly shop of fifth-generation fighters Su-57 and Sukhoi SuperJet-100 passenger airliners, and also observed a demonstration flight of the Su-35S.

In this context, it is interesting what products from the plant could theoretically be of interest to the DPRK. Its aircraft fleet has long been outdated - the most modern in it are a dozen or two MiG-29s of the first modifications, so the country's Air Force clearly has a demand for updating.

The delivery of the Su-35S, of course, is very difficult to believe, but the dispatch of a flight of Su-27s in storage in this case is a much more realistic scenario. Also, the products of RSK Mig can be transferred to the North Koreans - the MiG-29s put into reserve after a major overhaul.

📌 Naturally, the DPRK will not be able to pay for all these potential purchases in foreign currency due to its unenviable economic situation. However, Pyongyang may well settle the deal by barter: the Russian Armed Forces will now not be in need of ammunition for cannon and rocket artillery, of which the DPRK has quite a few, as well as other specific products.

In the civilian sphere, Russia can unofficially take part in measures to modernize the North Korean energy system, which acts as the “Achilles heel” of the country’s economy. Previously, Moscow did not take this step due to the sanctions regime against the DPRK, but over the course of a year and a half, the situation has changed significantly.

Whether these issues were discussed at the meeting between Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-un, time will tell: if some fundamental decisions were made, then the result can be seen soon.

Moscow’s missile production now exceeds prewar levels, officials say, leaving #Ukraine especially vulnerable this coming winter.

@Russia has managed to overcome #sanctions and export controls imposed by the West to expand its missile production beyond prewar levels, according to U.S., European and Ukrainian officials, leaving Ukraine especially vulnerable to intensified attacks in the coming months.

As a result of the sanctions, American officials estimate that Russia was forced to dramatically slow its production of #missiles and other weaponry at the start of the war in February 2022 for at least six months. But by the end of 2022, Moscow’s military industrial manufacturing began to pick up speed again, American officials who spoke on condition of anonymity to disclose the sensitive assessment now concede.

Russia subverted American export controls using its intelligence services and ministry of defense to run illicit networks of people who smuggle key components by exporting them to other countries from which they can be shipped to Russia more easily. In less than a year since the war began, Russia rebuilt trade in critical components by routing them through countries like Armenia and Turkey. U.S. and European regulators have been trying to work together to curb the export of chips to Russia, but have struggled to stop the flow to pass through countries with ties to Moscow.
