Turkish local elections: Opposition stuns Erdogan with historic victory

Congratulations to all in the cities and country which has been taken back decades in terms of rights and freedoms under Erdogan.
I spent some time in Istanbul especially, back when women were celebrating newfound freedoms and all enjoyed freedoms of speech and blossoming "new" music and arts.

Baku Television: We are sitting here, we are monitoring the developments in #Iran and we are carrying out our information war. Iran and Russia are biggest obstacle to form greater #Azerbaijan. #Armenia is just following them.

Iran should not think that tomorrow when our relationship with Russia breaks down, it can take us back to Iran. We are not alone, apart from #Turkey, our brother Israel is by our side, Shalom #Israel. Also great #Britain back us, whether Boris Johnson is a Turk or not, British Petroleum company will help us.

In setback to #Turkey’s #Erdogan, #opposition makes huge gains in local #election

Turkey’s main opposition party retained its control over key cities and made huge gains elsewhere in Sunday’s local elections, in a major upset to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who had set his sights on retaking control of those urban areas.

"To woo Washington, Erdogan will sell out Palestine

After Ankara and Washington successfully swapped Sweden’s #NATO accession for an #F-16 fighter jet deal, Turkiye is focused on accelerating that rapprochement and is willing to sweep divisive issues – like #genocide in #Gaza – under the rug."

On February 18, 2024, the Turkish-flagged oil tanker called "Dikkel Deniz" docked at the port of Alexandria, Egypt, and from there reached the port of Haifa, Israel!

Erdogan and Aliyev fueling the military of Israel with the help of Egypt's dictator Sisi.

It's truly sickening to watch people worship that double faced pig when he talks like he cares about Palestinians and standing up to Netanyahu and his genocidal regime.

Disagreements over payments holds up key Iraq-Turkey oil pipeline restart: Iraq PM
Turkey shut down the pipeline in March 2023 after an arbitration court ordered it to pay Iraq $1.5bn (Tl45.23bn) in compensation.
(...)
the reduced supply has inadvertently helped Iraq adhere more closely to its OPEC+ production limits.
However, to meet its new target for January this year, Iraq will need to cut output by approximately 300,000 barrels per day.

Baghdad has requested Kurdistan to reduce its output to help Iraq comply with its OPEC+ limits, as reported by Argus.

Turkish drone manufacturer #Baykar has begun construction of factory near Kyiv

#Bayraktar told Reuters at the sidelines of the World Defense Show in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, that the factory is already being built and will need one year to complete construction.

The plant aims to employ around 500 people, he said.

The factory's planned output is around 120 units per year, but it is unclear exactly which drone model will be produced.

When asked if security concerns had caused any hesitation, Bayraktar said the plans were were "fully moving ahead" and that "nothing" would stop them.
