Al Jazeera reports that tribal leaders in Gaza informed UN officials that they reject to cooperate in distributing humanitarian aid except through #Gaza's security forces. Israel had contacted the leaders directly to ask them for cooperation but they turned them down.

It added that #UNRWA officials are expected to have a meeting with Gaza's police on Saturday to agree on a method to get aid into the besieged strip.

This comes as Israel has been targeting Gaza's police and governmental bodies, which are responsible for securing and distributing aid to create a state of chaos.

Tegenwoordig trekken via sociale media de gruwelijkste beelden voorbij, IsraĆ«ls slachtpartij in Gaza wordt al maanden live uitgezonden, een uiteengereten meisjeslichaam hangt aan een muur, een jongetje werpt zich op zijn stervende vader, hoeveel dode babyā€™s zijn genoeg? Iedereen kan het zien, iedereen kan weten wat er gebeurt, en toch verandert er helemaal niets.

In een aanklacht tegen die normalisering filmde hij zijn tocht naar de IsraĆ«lische ambassade in Washington, hoe hij zich daar met benzine overgoot, de aansteker haperde een paar keer. ā€˜Free Palestineā€™, bleef Bushnell vanuit de vlammen zo lang mogelijk roepen. In de reguliere media werd de reden van zijn protest zelden genoemd, The Guardian schreef dat hij ā€˜iets schreeuwde over Palestinaā€™. Bij de Volkskrant en de NOS verdween zijn dood in de liveblog ā€˜Crisis Midden-Oostenā€™, zonder dat hij bij naam werd genoemd. (...)

Zelfs in mijn pro-Palestijnse internetbubbel ging het vooral nog over de vraag of Bushnell nu wel of geen ā€˜verwarde manā€™ was. (...)

Tegenwoordig blijken veel mensen zo afgestompt dat ze zich niet eens meer kunnen voorstellen hoe diep het leed van anderen iemand kan raken. De wanhoop die Bushnell kennelijk voelde, om elke dag de meest verschrikkelijke dingen te zien, daar een gedwongen toeschouwer van te zijn, alsof er luciferstokjes tussen je oogleden zitten, en dan: te weten dat ā€˜de heersende klasseā€™ het ook ziet, weet wat er gebeurt, en desondanks gewoon doorgaat met het geweld tegen onschuldige burgers. Dat is toch ook gekmakend?

Nee, zeggen degenen die zich hebben aangepast: zo is het altijd al geweest.

Reuters cites an #UNRWA report as stating that kidnapped staffers of the agency were pressured by Israeli authorities into falsely stating that the agency has #Hamas links and that staff took part in the Oct. 7 military operation.

The reports added that Israel's ill-treatment of UNRWA staffers included severe physical beatings, waterboarding, and threats of harm to family members.

Want Israƫl, dat deze genocide uitvoert, is al jaren ƩƩn van de gelukkigste landen ter wereld. Toch slachten Israƫlische soldaten hele families af. Het lijkt vaak: vol overtuiging, want ik zie bij de beelden van de soldaten geen angst of onmacht. Ik zie overheersingsdrang. De triomf van de sterkere. Minachting voor, en ontmenselijking van de zwakkere. Hun gebrek aan mededogen en medemenselijkheid is schokkend. Het knakt mijn geloof in de fundamentele goedheid van de mens.

Maar dan, nog erger: wij ā€“ het ā€˜Westenā€™. Ik dacht echt: we hebben al zo lang democratie en vrede, we koesteren dat. We koesteren wederzijds respect, gelijke kansen en vrede. Maar we doen bijna niks om te helpen. Sterker nog, Nederland levert nog wapens aan IsraĆ«l. We zijn als Westen moreel failliet. We zien alles wat er in Gaza gebeurt. En we wenden ongemakkelijk ons gezicht af. Want ā€“ is dit niet de redenatie? ā€“ wie zijn wij, om degenen die dit aanrichten, aan te spreken? Uit schaamte wat de Joden in de Tweede Wereldoorlog is aangedaan. Hoe hun grootouders hebben geleden onder onze grootouders. En dat vinden we pijnlijk. Dus we doen niks. We kijken weg. (...)

Hoe kan ik blijven geloven dat we een gaaf land zijn, wanneer we ondertussen samen toekijken hoe elders, maar vlakbij, op een paar uur vliegen afstand, en op 10 cm afstand op mijn telefoon, een volk wordt uitgemoord? (...)

Ik hoor op te komen voor zieken en kwetsbaren. Ik kan niet anders dan toch blijven geloven dat de mens dat waard is, dat elk mens van waarde is en dat in de mensheid, ook in IsraĆ«l en het Westen, het goede schuilt. Anders heeft dokteren voor onze diersoort geen zin. Ik hoop dat we als land opstaan en onze solidariteit tonen. Met alle mensen. Boeddhistisch, atheĆÆstisch, joods, islamitisch of christelijk. Met IsraĆ«li en Palestijnen. Ik wil geloven dat ik gelijk heb. Dat we toch best een leuke diersoort zijn.

The UN relief agency for the Palestine refugees, the #UNRWA, says a total of 162 of its personnel have been killed since the beginning of the Israeli war on #Gaza in October 2023, marking the highest number of casualties in the history of the United Nations.

But the hypocrites of US and Europe don't care about those murdered only the lies of Israel.

Earlier in the day, Israel's i24News was bemoaning the global silence over the travails of the poor, poor Israelis and Israeli hostages and then leveled accusations of terrorism against 450 UNRWA workers. That's considerably more than the baker's dozen they started with, and they said that the IDF released recordings of UNRWA workers bragging about the hostages they took. Only a little over 2 hours ago, ABC News (US) reported on it so that should give you a good idea of how much vetting such reports merit and even then it's probably not enough.

Over 100 Australian lawyers referred Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to the International Criminal Court as an accomplice to the #genocide in #Gaza on the basis of his military, intelligence, and political support for the Israel under Article 15 of the Rome Statute.

Albanese is the first western leader to be referred to the ICC for being an "accessory to genocide." Australia has provided F-35 warplane parts and military intelligence to the Israel since October. Albanese also froze $6 million to #UNRWA and deployed Australian military to the region without disclosing their location or role.

Iraq gorlt invaded and destroyed because of some lies about WMD and that they didn't allow UN inspectors into the country

Israel has broken over 70 UN resolutions and US have used veto to save them lots of times.

But it's not going to change the way the world looking at Israel and doing business with them.

I'm sure they will receive more fundings and weapons from both US and EU.

According to the New York Times, citing American officials, most of Hamas's tunnel networks are still intact and functioning, and at least 5,000 Hamas soldiers may still be active in the northern part of the Gaza Strip alone.

I'm guessing NYT is posting these to justify the ongoing catastrophe in Gaza and starvation of the people struck in the northern section.

4 months after Israeli assault on #Gaza, with over 38000 dead and over 15000 missing, the civilians in Gaza are facing the worst man made famine since the Yemen blockade with catastrophic consequences on the lives of the most volnurable civilians living there.

Sadly, the western leaders are busy having an orgy in #Ukraine and lining up to stand in front of the camera to show how much they value right of self defense and sending billions and billions of euro in supplies and weapons there, while at the same time cutting all the small funds they were sending to #UNRWA and other aid organizations because of some baseless accusations made by fascist coalition government of #Netanyahu #Ben-Gvir.
