Perfectly in sync with the #psych #Music #biography #perspective such as seen with "Glimpses", and various memoirs and articles/interviews about the 'real-deal' of relationships and #context for some big celebrities - like #Dylan and #Band, as well as #BrianWilson and family, and some other well-known performers.
This one is very 'easy-listening', a spotlight (vicariously) on the life of #FrankZappa and #MoonZappa, in the aftermath of a 40-year anniversary of Frank's only commercial "radio song". So for teen-agers, he was upstaged by his 14-yr-old daughter! Her reflections:

So, on a long air flight I had the chance to see this film I'd not heard of, about the great #BrianWilson (Beach Boys, etc.)
For me it was like the magnificent book Glimpses, in which a fictional character gets to hang out with a few stars, including Brian Wilson, in his car, visiting old homes and haunts, etc. In this movie, it's deja vu! Befriended by a Rolling Stone reporter, who has some natural (soothing) therapist chops, Brian talks about the "scary" stuff as well as happy memories, and plays DJ as well as a willing subject for questions and DJ'ing of his host/chauffeur and companion - in real life now!
Anyway, he spoke of his relationship with his brothers, the music scene and California scene, and favorite songs, his own and others'.
And Pet Songs too. One song he singled out as one of the best songs he wrote, a favorite, was this one:

The song which soothed & led me towards the light after days-weeks-months of trauma and sadness and helplessness following 9/11. Goosebumps listening to this in the years since. From the gods.... And that sensitive soul of Brian Wilson. How many times I listened to this in a state of despair in the wake of the incomprehensible. Yes, love & mercy are key to survival & healing.
