#Ashwini (அசுவினி): The Beginner
Placement: 00° 00’ to 13° 20’ of Aries

Element: #Earth (Bhumi)

Pushkara Navamsha/Bhaga: NA

Gandanta Nakshatra

Ashwini is the first #nakshatra among the 27 #nakshatras, and as such, it marks the beginning of everything, including life. It is said to have a magical quality, bestowing its natives with magical abilities and knowledge. As it is also a fast-moving nakshatra, with the moon transiting over it faster than others, any actions taken on this day are believed to be carried out more quickly.

Deity: The deity of Ashwini nakshatra is the #AshwiniKumaras, the twin brothers who are known as the celestial physicians with magical powers for healing the wounded and bringing the dead back to life. The name Ashwini is derived from their association with horses as they were born to Lord Surya (Sun) and his wife Sanjana in horse and mare form, resulting in their physical form having a horse's head and a human body. These brothers are forever young, agile and never age. Despite being identical twins, they differ in nature, as one brother prepares the medicine while the other applies it. One is sattvic and the other is tamasic, yet they remain inseparable.

Natural #healers: Nakshatras such as #Ashwini, #Ardra, #Pushya, #Hasta, #Anuradha, #Moola, #Dhanishta, #Satabishak, and #Revati have the natural ability to #heal.

Ruler: #Ketu, the #oldest #planet in #astrology and the planet of creation, rules over Ashwini nakshatra. This nakshatra is known for its swift and transformative energy, which is also associated with Lord #Ganesha, the deity of new beginnings, power, and success. While Ketu is often associated with endings, it's important to remember that every ending marks the start of something new. As a result, Ashwini nakshatra is considered to be an auspicious time for starting new projects and endeavors.

To gain philosophical wisdom, one must possess knowledge of the lunar nodes, Rahu and Ketu.

Symbol: This nakshatra is symbolized by the "horse's head". As the head is the supreme organ in the body and carries all five sensory organs, it holds great significance. Wearing a crown on one's head signifies royalty and authority, which is why the Sun gets exalted in this nakshatra.

Guna: This nakshatra is characterized as Rajasic, with a focus on continuous physical activity and an emphasis on swift movements.

Animal: The animal symbol associated with Ashwini nakshatra is the male horse, or stallion. As the twin deities of the nakshatra are associated with horses, this is not surprising. Horses are renowned for their speed, with their beautiful manes and stunning looks adding to their appeal.

Power: The #power attributed to this nakshatra is "Shidra Vyapani #Shakti", which refers to the ability to quickly reach one's destination or achieve one's goal.

General attributes: Individuals who are strongly influenced by Ashwini nakshatra exhibit twin personalities in nature. They may experience #sudden #shifts from being silent to being vocal, or from being idle to taking action. They are natural healers, and their words or actions may carry a certain healing energy. As it is the first nakshatra and where the Sun first gets exalted, they always possess the energy to create or initiate something. They are likely to value constant physical movement, strength, and courage. The influence of Ketu may make them selfless, but it can also make them reckless at times. Sitting in one place for an extended period can be challenging for them, and their lives will always be full of movement and new experiences. It is important to note that these are general qualities, and individual experiences may vary.

One of our self-funded films is ‘ #Narmada, the #eternal #river’. Originating at #Amarkantak in #MadhyaPradesh, the #River-Narmada flows for about 1300 kilometers from east to west through the gorge between the Vindhya and the Satpura mountain ranges and merges into the sea near Khambat Sagar at Gadurreswar in #Gujarat.

This valley was formed by the struggle of active land parts of the #Precambrian era, along with the remains of primitive sea creatures and #dinosaurs.

For this reason, the Narmada has been considered the #oldest river in #India.

Along with the evidence of the presence of early #StoneAge #humans in the #caves of the valley, the continuous presence of numerous ancient #Sanatana sites situated on the banks of the river narrates the story of the continuous cooperation of this river in the development of India.

In this short documentary, made under the guidance of Shri Samanand Ji from the Saptmatrika temple of #Maheshwar in Madhya Pradesh, we have tried to showcase the enigmatic story of this eternal river from the geological, anthropological, and cultural points of view.

More importantly, the video is an informative and spiritual look at the Narmada River, one of the most #sacred rivers in India. The video begins with a montage of images of the river, from its source in the Vindhya Mountains to its confluence with the Arabian Sea. The voiceover then introduces the river's history and significance and discusses its importance to the cultures of Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.

The video then goes on to explore the river's natural beauty, from its lush forests to its pristine waterfalls. A few original audio tracks and numbers make this video more attractive. The video also features interviews with people who live along the river and share their stories and insights about the river's importance to their lives. Insights shared by some spiritually accomplished personalities enhanced the knowledge value of the video.

The video also unfolds the importance of Narmada Parikrama, which is a spiritual journey that involves the circumambulation of the Narmada River, a 3000-kilometre route, on foot, leaving behind all belongings and economic means! The #journey is said to be a way to cleanse oneself of sin and attain #moksha, or #liberation.

The short documentary had been selected for official screening at the Mahakaushal Short & #Documentary #Film Festival and later was awarded the best documentary award upon its showcasing at the Shaheed Smarak Auditorium, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, on 18th December, #2022!

""The study, based on research featured in a Netflix documentary, fueled debate over a site that is used for Islamic and Hindu rituals.

The American publisher of a study that challenged scientific orthodoxy by claiming that an archaeological site in #Indonesia may be the #world’s “ #oldest #pyramid” says it has been retracted.

The October 2023 study in the journal Archaeological Prospection made the explosive claim that the deepest layer of the site, #GunungPadang, appears to have been “sculpted” by humans up to 27,000 years ago.

The study’s critics say that it incorrectly dated the human presence at Gunung Padang based on radiocarbon measurements of soil from drilling samples, not artifacts. The journal’s American publisher, Wiley, cited that exact reasoning in the retraction notice it issued on Monday.

Gunung Padang is widely considered a dormant volcano, and archaeologists say that ceramics recovered there so far suggest that humans have been using it for several hundred years or more — not anything close to 27,000 years. The pyramids of Giza in Egypt are only about 4,500 years old.

The retraction, based on a monthslong investigation, said that the study was flawed because its soil samples “were not associated with any artifacts or features that could be reliably interpreted as anthropogenic or ‘man-made.’”

Some archaeologists said in interviews that they welcomed the retraction. But the study’s authors called it “unjust,” saying in a statement on Wednesday that their soil samples had been “unequivocally established as man-made constructions or archaeological features,” in part because the soil layers included artifacts.

“We urge the academic community, scientific organizations, and concerned individuals to stand with us in challenging this decision and upholding the principles of integrity, transparency, and fairness in scientific research and publishing,” the authors wrote.

The study’s lead author, Danny Hilman Natawidjaja, an earthquake geologist, did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Neither did Wiley or the editors of Archaeological Prospection, Eileen Ernenwein and Gregory Tsokas.

One prominent supporter of Mr. Natawidjaja’s research, the journalist Graham Hancock, said in a statement he did not see the retraction as “fair, justified or good science.” He said that instead of issuing a retraction, the journal should have published critiques of the paper, a move he said would have allowed readers to make up their own minds.

“Science should not be about suppression,” said Mr. Hancock, who interviewed Mr. Natawidjaja for an episode about Gunung Padang on “Ancient Apocalypse,” his 2022 Netflix documentary series.

The Society for American Archaeology has said that Mr. Hancock’s Netflix show “devalues the archaeological profession on the basis of false claims and disinformation.” He has vigorously rejected that argument, arguing that archaeologists should be more open to theories that challenge academic orthodoxy. Netflix did not respond to a request for comment on the retraction.

People from Indonesia have long traveled to Gunung Padang, a hilltop site dotted with stone terraces, to hold Islamic and Hindu rituals. A domestic narrative portraying it as a very, very old pyramid had support, and financing, from the central government during the administration of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, who left office in 2014. His successor, President Joko Widodo, cut off the funding.

Archaeologists said in interviews on Wednesday that they welcomed the retraction.

One of them, Noel Hidalgo Tan, an archaeologist in Bangkok who had relayed his concerns about the study to Wiley, said that he considered the retraction “entirely appropriate” because the study’s evidence did not support its conclusions.

“It was unfortunate that the paper had to get to this stage,” said Dr. Tan, who works at the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Archaeology and Fine Arts. “But it was better to be retracted than to have nothing said about it at all.”

Dwi Ratna Nurhajarini, the head of the Cultural Heritage Conservation Office in West Java Province, the location of the site, said the study’s conclusions should be re-examined in light of the retraction.

“The structures at Gunung Padang are indeed layered and terraced, reminiscent of civilizations from Indonesia’s distant past,” she said by phone on Wednesday. “But their age might not be as old as suggested.”"

The Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun is rumored to be 30,000 years old. In this video, I investigate and confirm that it is legitimate.

#How Egyptian #Pyramids #Produced #Electricity - • Pyramids of #Giza Produced ELECTRICITY... -

The Bosnian pyramid is larger than the Egyptian pyramid in Giza. The Pyramid in Bosnia is also much older.

An #albatross named #Wisdom, the #oldest known #wild #bird at 70 years old, at least, has once again returned to the Midway Atoll National #Wildlife Refuge in the Pacific. A volunteer spotted the septuagenarian at the refuge on Friday, #December 1, #2023. And she looks good for her age!

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) first tagged Wisdom at Midway, in the 1950s. The tag bears the designation Z333. Experts estimate that she was hatched at least as early at 1951, if not earlier. That would put her at a minimum of 72 years old.

The #Rig-Veda is the oldest book of Hinduism, the oldest document
in #Sanskrit, and is one of the #oldest #texts of the Indoeuropean
languages. The copy that we have access to is incomplete. Some
of it has been lost, and some of it is not privy to non-Brahmins.
Rig Veda translates to “Knowledge of Praise” in English. The
exact dating of the Rig Veda is disputed by scholars, but the
currently accepted dating is 1500-1000BCE. The authors of the
Rig Veda are known as the Vedic Rishis; the word “Rishi” is can
be translated to “Sage” or “Seer”. The Rig Veda was memorized
and passed down orally through generations of Brahmins for
thousands of years before being written down, in any alphabet system. Verses from the Rig Veda are utilized in modern times, as prayers and wedding vows. The most prominent aspects of the text are the tales of the Adityas—the celestial Gods, and multiple accounts of the creation of the #world.
