A **Christoph* post about pizza has reminded me of one of my first jobs when I was a teenager in New Jersey.
I was a PIZZA TOSSER in a Jersey Shore Boardwalk pizza restaurant. Spinning pizza dough up into the air, making an X with my arms, then catching the spinned dough on the topside of my wrist. It had to be just right. Not too thin. Not too thick.
If a guy made some smart-ass sexist remark, I’d spin the dough where it would land right on top of his head and cover his face and big mouth.*
The owner taught me how to toss, spin and make a pizza. One reason I was hired was because I used to twirl a baton up into the air and catch it. That little skill took a lot of time to learn, and it made tossing and spinning pizza dough easier. I still love pizza - if it’s made right.
These days, pizza tossing is an art and there are Championships.

Pizza antique

My pizza craving was answered. Had a delicious thin crust pizza in north of Nice for 7 euros.

These pizzas usually either really small or have crappy ingredients, butwthe ham was good, the mushrooms were delicious and the cheese was ok. And as always in France the olives had pits.
It's the cheapest I've had in years and it was both fresh and delicious. Ate half of it for lunch and the other half for dinner.

Definitely going back when the kids are coming, because it's a perfect place with a park next to it so we can sit down and enjoy it.
