For many years my wife and I have wanted to create something dedicated exclusively to the #Yamaha CS1x #synthesizer. Finally, after so much work, we are very happy to present you this mini #series in which the #sounds of the CS1x will be the #protagonists.
Each episode will consist of 5 #famous #music presets that I created and performed on the CS1x.
The visual style and structure of these videos is inspired by early 90s learning video tapes.The initial logo and the music, is a #tribute to one of the most important distributors of #VHS in those years in the #UnitedStates, the "Simitar Entertainment".
To make these videos useful even for those who just want to learn how to play some pieces of this music from the past with their own #keyboard/ #synth, I filmed the synthesizer from above in order to better understand the keys I press.
In this episode there is a brief description of the CS1x and a #demonstration of 5 presets:

• Don't You Want Me - by The Human League - (Brass Chords)

I travel hither and yon to bring you the crunchiest images of the most in-between HD #video #format. I was so thrilled to actually get this working, you have no idea.
Don't take the #videos of the #screen itself all that literally - #CRT's are notoriously hard to record, and like I said, pixel peeping flies in the face of this whole format. To the naked eye the output looks simply outstanding, and I didn't find out how it "really" looked until I was editing the closeups.
As I said in the video, if you have any WVHS #tapes, I would love to borrow them to rip now that I have a working process.

How to convert VHS videotape to 60 fps digital video and no jagged lines
I found this video quite interesting as I did all my VHS conversions to a DVD recorder many years back, and from there stuck those into my CD drive and copied them to my hard drive as CD format video files (.VOB I think they are). But yes, many had jagged lines on them, so quality was just not great.
This video not only shows an easier way with direct RCA-USB dongle capture, but also mentions why some such devices don’t scan well and which ones to rather go for. It certainly looks like I should try to reconvert my VHS tapes again, trying this advice.

This video comes from the #VHS tape we ordered through the mail back in 1990, just to watch all the #cool #computer #animation, and then dream about owning something like this someday.
And just like these guys did, we've used cutting edge #visual #effects #technology to enhance and upscale this video to HD, making it look better than it did in 1990. We share it here as a thank you and a tribute to the "with it" guys, and Kiki Stockhammer for creating this paradigm shift!
