In the recent month, we’ve had the pleasure of a nocturnal visit. Two possums, one the tutor, the mother handsomely carrying on her back the inchoate by design. Our backyard has two deciduous trees closer to the yards patio, one plum tree (lasting by those fragile years). One sided the other a Chinese leaf - heart shape foliage in a three D. balloon. - Thee two would scurry as scurrying would, up the fence line, along the patio, the fence, then achieving midnight snacks, to the plum-leaf tree. As the routine became a sound of visual traction, a month later, our youth had capacity of one third the larger tutor, gradually they separated to climb under the awning, proving a game show of difficulty. Each tree in my yard had duality, the opposed truncated route, just seemed less preventive, they climbed endlessly over the other, reaching branches that barely held to a nearby advantage. - usually midnight came, they where gone, the same scurried action, except for last-nights crunching thud, the over size possum hadn’t navigated the patios under rail. Poised for another attempt, the plan of action had changed, the heart of the tree was closer then the over hanging awning. To redirect a indirect jump, the nearer branch, was more then sturdy for a netted paw of our possum, the exercise was closing fast, two longing quarters, three provincial stutters, wham it were midnight, - can’t say if they will return, my yard has become a downsized habitat. #musings #tale #midnight

Legend

Day 15 of the Inktober. (You can read about the Inktober concept here: Inktober) Almost halfway (and I am still one day behind). This time I have succeeded actually sending a video file from my phone to the summerhouse computer (via WeTransfer) so you can see me brushing while trying to point my phone in the right direction. Sadly I am not really satisfied with this drawing. If I hadn't been in a hurry (Inktober hurry) I would put this one on a light table, make a new one and fix a lot of small annoying things (and if it had been digital i would be able to do this even faster and simpler).

Today's words is: "Legend."

Today's title: "Granddad's legendary youth."
