#Jyeshta #Nakshatra
#Characteristics male
The males born in Jyeshtha Nakshatra are usually very down-to-earth and don’t like to brag about their achievements. Because of this nature, they are oftentimes underestimated by others. These males are very stubborn and do not heed someone else’s opinion. They like doing whatever their conscience is telling them to do. Something to keep in mind while interacting with them is that they are not very good at keeping secrets and will confide in someone else at the first opportunity. Once they find out something very important, it becomes very hard for them to go about their normal life without taking it off their chest. So one should be careful about the things that are being shared with these males. They are also very short-tempered. This results in them hurting people unconsciously.

Profession male
Males of this nakshatra are very hardworking and passionate about making a name for themselves. Unlike their peers, they will start looking for jobs or ways of earning money at a much earlier time. They will follow their hearts while building their career. This will result in them being more successful than the people of their age. There are chances that they will leave their homes, either for further education or for job. Even though they will have success in whatever they are doing, they are also going to be fickle-minded about what exactly they want to do. Till the age of 50, they have to struggle quite a bit because of this fickle-mindedness, especially around the age of 18 to 26. They are advised to remain calm and stick to their decisions. After 50, they will be quite comfortable with their situation.

Compatibility male
Jyestha nakshatra males will have a difficult life with their families. Relations with their siblings and mother will not be the best, and they will not receive much support from them. Because of their stubbornness, free-minded and independent nature, they won’t be able to form close bonds with their relatives. Although, they will have a very smooth and happy married life with a loving and somewhat dominant wife who won’t tolerate them being drunk in their household.

Health male
Apart from some minor health issues such as chronic pains in the hands and shoulders, stomach issues, asthma, dysentery, colds, and fevers, males of this nakshatra won’t have to suffer from any serious problems that might cause them stress.

Characteristics female
Females of this nakshatra are very sensitive people and take everything that has been said to them to their hearts. These females care a lot about their appearance and how people view them. What people think about them matters a lot to them, and usually heed their opinions. Females of this nakshatra are very passionate lovers. They love blindly and become crestfallen when they are betrayed in love. They easily get jealous when they are in a relationship. They are also very intelligent and thoughtful about people and situations around them. Along with that, one might never find them in a cluttered environment as they are very organised and like to keep their surroundings clean and tidy.

Profession female
Even though they are intelligent and smart, achieving a very good education is not the most important concern for the females of this nakshatra. So their academic qualification will be average and basic, and they will be satisfied with their husband’s earnings. They don’t mind taking care of their household and their family and are comfortable with their own company. Often times it is noticed that these females are rarely the earning members of the family but that doesn’t mean that they will struggle financially. It means that they will have a husband who is earning enough for the family to live a comfortable life.

Compatibility female
Females of this nakshatra will have to be careful in their social surroundings after they get married as there are chances that they will have family members and relatives or even neighbours who will often try to create tension in their life. More often than not, these females will find themselves in the middle of a conflict as they usually fail to maintain a harmonious environment. Because of all these frequent tensions in the family, they will have to struggle with mental illness.

Health female
Females of this nakshatra will not have the best health throughout their lifetime as they will have to go through many serious health issues such as uterus problems, chronic body pain in the hands and shoulder, and even prostate gland enlargement.

#Jyeshtha or #Jyeshta #Nakshatra, which is from 16°40' to 30°00' degrees in Scorpio sign, is the 18th Nakshatra in the zodiac as per Indian astrology. The symbol for Jyeshta Nakshatra is an #Umbrella or a round protective #Talisman. An Umbrella stands for protection and capacity to cast a shadow of protective influence. A Talisman, apart from being a physical expression of an understanding of occult or hidden forces, also indicates either providing or receiving protection from some danger or adversity. This links the Jyeshta Nakshatra closely with the idea of protective influence.

And the presiding deity of Jyeshta Nakshatra is Lord #Indra, the king or chief of the gods. Indra is the eldest of #Adityas, the celestial gods and sons of #Aditi. Hence called Aditya(s). Many hymns of Veda honour the Indra for his daring deeds, power, fame, glory and praiseworthiness, all of these qualities are hence associated with Jyeshta Nakshatra.

These good indications and positive traits from lord Indra and symbols also signify Jyeshta Nakshatra's association with valour, energy and fame.

The word 'Jyeshtha' means 'the eldest'. Jyeshtha is a #Sanskrit word for the #eldest. And this lunar mansion is also known to be as eldest of all 27 lunar mansions. Therefore Jyeshta Nakshatra is often also written as Jyeshtha Nakshatra. This asterism refers to the eldest is in the family hierarchy or social order. So it represents 'the founder', 'the most important', 'the eldest' or 'the preferred one'. The Jyeshta Nakshatra person may be the patriarch or the matriarch of a family. For someone born in Jyeshta Nakshatra, there are even higher chances that he/she may be the elder brother or elder sister, or the eldest child of their parents.

All the Pada of this Nakshatra falls in Scorpio sign. First Pada is in Sagittarius navamsa ruled by Jupiter. The 2nd and 3rd Pada are in Capricorn and Aquarius navamsa respectively, both ruled by Saturn. And the fourth pada is Pisces navamsa ruled by Jupiter.

#Om Sarva Tathagata Usnisha Sitatapatra Hum Phat Hum Mama Hum Ni Svaha
enter image description here

#Obstacle-removing mode there. I have not seen anyone attempt to explain that mantra. The sense I get from "Mama Ni" is "lead me". "Phat" is a weapon that must have removed obstacles, mantras would usually end there. It is not a sensible phrase like "Raksa mam", "protect me", and if we cannot figure anything else out, Ni is the syllable of Khandaroha. I don't think that would be here. The only independent meaning I have found is "to lead, to govern".

This next one does music after three minutes of Tibetan recitation. He omits "Sitatapatra" in order to make the tune, but, it is very relaxing and refreshing.

Source: https://youtube.com/watch?v=ipuYikwu5ZM

So his #Sanskrit #mantra comes out as:

Om Sarva Tathagata Usnisha Hum Phat Hum Mama Hum Ni Svaha

Hum Mama Hum Ni Svaha

Pretty much the same thing as anyone else has, but, he put it together in a way that says something to you even if you don't know what he is saying.

Most Tibetans speed up all mantras like the first one. But we want to be able to examine verbal and musical variation. Some things should be concentrated and clear, others more emotional, and so on. We can get a lot of these short mantras, in fact Imee Ooi just did it with only the four words. There are the long Shurangama recitals. But no decent musical version of Bari mantra as we found on the flags. There is one with a "Vajrapani" version.

#Jyeshtha#Nakshatra spans 16º40′ – 30º00′ sidereal Scorpio and is ruled by the planet #Mercury and the deity #Indra, the King of the Gods. Depending on the tradition, there are three symbols attached to Jyeshtha, an #earring, a talisman and an #umbrella (parasol). This is a sharp Nakshatra and stands for taking action and to overcome challenges.

Indra is the King of the Gods. He controls lightning and produces rain, he also keeps order and offers protection. With all that, Indra also has a great sense of ego, pride and is quite self centred. There are many stories where Indra is being put in place and brought “down to Earth” if you will. We find two of these stories here in Jyeshtha Nakshatra but also in other Nakshatras, one of them in Krittika Nakshatra

The Yogi’s Curse
One day Indra took on the appearance of the Yogi Gautama because he lusted after Gautama’s wife. When Gautama realized what was happening and came home to find Indra having intercourse with his wife, he cursed Indra to be covered with 1000 vaginas. Indra was so devastated he rushed to the Goddess Lakshmi to remove the curse, but Lakshmi told him that not even she could remove the curse of a powerful Yogi. She was however able to lessen the curse so Indra was covered in 1000 eyes in place of the vaginas.

Let’s look at Jyeshtha Nakshatras Symbology
Earlier I mentioned three symbols connected to this Nakshatra, the earring, a talisman, and an umbrella.

The earring is a symbol for Kundalini energy rising like a coiled serpent that some Indian Rishis and Yogic masters would wear to signify the mastery this energy. It also symbolizes the elder sister, heeding advice from others of authority and being protected by them, just like the elder sister would protect her younger siblings.

The talisman is an auspicious symboled that is meant to protect from occult forces. It’s also a symbol for the transition from the material world to the next level of consciousness, the spiritual world. In Jyeshtha we are approaching the last nine Nakshatras of the 27 Nakshatra wheel which mark the last phase of detachment from this material/physical world on the path to spirituality.

Lastly, the umbrella symbolizes protection, and protection from Indra’s anger. There are two stories that highlight the umbrella’s power of protection, from Indra specifically. One of them I already mentioned in Krittika Nakshatra. The other one is this:

One day Indra brought torrential rainfalls down on the village where Krishna lived, because the habitants had a big ceremonial feast but instead of making sacrificing to Indra as they normally had, offered their sacrifice to the animals and plants and people that sustained them every day. Indra had his ego bruised and got incredibly angry of course. The villagers were terribly scared of the storm Indra brought upon them and begged Krishna for help, so Krishna lifted up the nearby Mount Govardhana, placed it on the tip of his finger and held it there, using the mountain as an umbrella protecting the village from the rain.

Jyeshtha is a Nakshatra that can be very good for business and gains. It’s a Nakshatra of action. People who have planets in this Nakshatra often make good business people and negotiators, or are in roles to uphold the law and common virtue. Jyeshtha wants to be respected and taken seriously, when we do it has protection to offer, power and even financial prosperity.

What to do on a Jyeshtha Moon
I already talked about the does and don’ts during the Eclipse in general, here are a few things you can do during this New Moon in Jyeshtha Nakshatra:

Practice Yoga and/or Pranayama to centre the mind and engage your senses in a non outward action way.
Engage in your spiritual practice, mantra practice is great. This is actually a good time to go on a retreat and get away from mundane activities altogether.
Eat light or even take a day of fasting if it comes easy enough to you. Taken a load off your system during the eclipse will be helpful, especially since the eclipse naturally falls in the 8th house of digestion. (The actual placement of this New Moon will be different for each of us, as a general though Scorpio relates to the 8th house and will bring some of the attributes to the table).
Do mundane housework that needs doing, cleaning, laundry, menial things that don’t require much thinking.
Look out for friends and people around you. reach out if you need help or someone to talk things out and through. Meditation can be helpful but you have to know if it’s enough.
