#Jyeshta ("The Eldest") (226°40′ to 240°00′ #Scorpio)

Jyeshta #nakshatra is identifiable in the night sky as the brilliant red star #Antares. This star resides at the heart of Scorpio and is many times larger than our own Sun. Jyeshta means the "eldest" and is a #star associated with #seniority.
#People born under this star have the capacity for great accomplishment, but they must first learn to deal with their inner conflicts and wield their power responsibly. The symbol of Jyeshta nakshatra is an ear ring or disc which represents the energy of Lord #Vishnu and #Mercury. This bestows protection and intellectual abilities. Those born under Jyeshta will defend the vulnerable or under privileged. The ruling deity, Lord #Indra, gives a shrewd and courageous nature. Jyeshta people must be cautious of the tendency to become overly concerned with recognition. Their generosity and charity is the key to establishing authority.

Sacred Energy Vortex
#Pasupathi #Koil #Sri #Varadharaja #Perumal #Temple

Varadharaja Perumal Koil is located in the village of Pasupathi near Thanjavur in Tamil Nadu, India. It is commonly referred to as the Jyeshta Temple because the energy of this shrine resonates with that of Jyestha star. An incarnation of Lord Vishnu, Sri Varadharaja Perumal resides at this sacred vortex. Varad means boon and Raja means king. Thus, Sri Varadaraja Perumal is the royal one who offers blessings to the world from this temple.

Just as Lord Vishnu manifests among the stars in the heavens, he also manifests among those who visit Pasupathi Koil. The twenty-seven nakshatra goddesses visit this temple each day and perform a marriage festival to Sri Varadaraja Perumal. Also at this sacred energy vortex, Sri Periya Nambi Swamigal meditated on Lord Vishnu with full devotion and contemplation. On Jyestha nakshatra day, Lord Vishnu appeared before him in the form of Sri Varadaraja Perumal and offered Divine Grace. The samadhi (still meditation) of Sri Periya Nambigal is located adjacent to the main shrine at Pasupathi Koil. It is auspicious to light a lamp containing three oils and receive darshan at the samadhi of Sri Periya Nambigal on Jyestha star day.

Those people born under Jyestha nakshatra should visit Pasupathi Koil with their family. It is favorable to visit the temple when Jyestha star falls on a Tuesday, combining the power of Mars and Jyestha. Siddhas and other divine beings give darshan on this day. These blessings have the ability to remove past life karmas, increase the effects of virtuous action and protect a person’s family. Those born under other stars will also benefit from a visit to this temple. They may offer archana and abhishekam to Sri Varadharaja Perumal and receive the darshan of siddhas who manifest in the light.

Jyestha nakshatra natives, your #incense is made with the #herb #Rattan as prescribed by the Vedas.

Burning one of these pillars is like performing a mini fire ritual for that particular star formation. For your specific Birthstar, you will be able to connect inwardly to your planet of energetic origin and gain support with the positive aspects that are you.

Burning the other Nakshatra pillars on that specific Nakshatra day will tune you in with the favorable activities with that star’s energy for the day. It is recommended to at least burn your own personal Nakshatra pillar daily to stay connected to your essence. It is advantageous to burn the days Nakshatra pillar as well.

#Anuradha ("Another Radha") (213°20′ to 226°40′ Scorpio)

The Anuradha #nakshatra consists of the stars Beta, Delta, and Pi #Scorpionis.

These three stars are visible in the night sky as they appear in a straight line above the bright red star, #Antares. The ruling deity, #Mitra, bestows the ability to develop and sustain friendships.

Anuradha is a #star related to success and can produce fame and recognition, especially through collaboration. This nakshatra uses both intuition and logic to produce a remarkable understanding of numbers. Travel and success in foreign lands are also supported by this star. People born under Anuradha nakshatra promote cooperation among #humanity and are capable of leading and organizing large groups. They must, however, monitor their level of frustration and melancholy. Similar to the lotus flower, Anuradha has the persistence and ability to blossom in the midst of difficulty.

Sacred Energy Vortex
#Thirunindriyur #Sri #Lakshmi #pureeswarar #Temple

The temple associated with the energy of Anuradha nakshatra is located near the Thanjavur District of Mayilaadudhurai in Tamil Nadu, India. The temple is known locally as Thirunindriyur. Goddess Lakshmi worshipped the Siva lingam at this sacred vortex. She prayed to Lord Shiva and asked for his blessing to remain in the chest of Sriman Narayana Moorthy, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Due to the devotion of the Goddess, Lord Shiva has the name Sri Lakshmi pureeswarar at this shrine.

People born under Anuradha nakshatra should visit the shrine for Sri Lakshmi pureeswarar at this temple on Anuradha day, a birthday, or a wedding. It is recommended to perform archana with lotus flowers, an abhishekam and anoint Sri Lakshmi pureeswara with sandalwood paste and pomegranate seeds. An offering of sweet rice can be given to the poor near the temple. In addition, one can bath in the holy temple pool and perform a Lakshmi PanjamiVrath pooja for five days. This is a powerful remedy for financial difficulties.

People born under other stars may also benefit by worshiping Sri Lakshmi pureeswarar at this sacred site. On Anuradha day, Lord Shiva is adorned with colorful garments that are favorable to Goddess Lakshmi. People can offer a ghee lamp with three wicks and walk around the Sri Lakshmi pureeswarar shrine. People may also offer gold or silver wedding badge, in accordance with their financial status, or a turmeric covered cord to the poor married woman. As a result, this remedy will release negative financial karma.

#Jyeshta #Nakshatra in #Astrology
The meaning of the word ‘Jyeshta’ is elder, #senior, first, or the chief. #Yogatara of Jyeshta is #Antares. Antares is the brightest, most massive, and most evolved stellar member of the nearest OB association. Antares is nearing the end of its lifespan and is expected to explode as a supernova in the next million years. Even in this sense, the name Jyeshtha or elder is appropriate. Jyeshta was the eldest of 27 sisters. She felt betrayed and jealous because Soma, their husband, favoured Rohini, who is younger than her.

Jyeshta Nakshatra in Vedic astrology is one of the Tiryaka Mukhi Nakshatras (or the Nakshatras, which have their mouths curved). In these Nakshatras, things related to roads, dams, the expansion of metals, chariots, boats, etc., can be auspiciously begun and performed.

Symbol: An #Earring
The symbol for Jyeshtha is an earring. This indicates the development of nerves in the ears and the ability to respond to sounds during this period.

Deity: The #Indhra
Indhra is the deity of Jyeshtha Nakshatra. Indhra means the one who controls Indhriya or senses. Indhra is considered a producer of earth and sky. He maintains the earth and the mountains. He is always frightened because someone could ascend to his throne. Getting immersed in music, dance, and the enjoyments of heaven is his weakness. #Indra

Characteristics of Jyeshta Nakshatra in Astrology
The yoni animal of Jyeshta Nakshatra is the #male #deer.
A deer is found in a quiet place in the forest and shows youthfulness, and the elegance of life.
When you see a deer, whether male or female, you feel a sense of calmness, beauty and serenity.
Deers reproduce at an extremely fast pace.
They reproduce once every year.
They are not as fast as a rat but reproduce quickly.
The deer is also one of the most killed animals by a car accident.
This can also show a Jyeshtha native usually always gets into car accidents or some kind of fender benders; it cannot be life-threatening unless other yogas are present and the person has completed their counted breaths.
Jyeshtha is perhaps the most lustful and sexual Nakshatra as the buck (the male deer) is ready to produce at any given moment.
The male deer also has antlers, which they use for protection and fight.
They show dominance and their right to mate with the female deer.
Deers can eat around 8-10 pounds of vegetation a day.
Jyeshtha natives can have a big appetite for food and can be fond of non-veg and exotic foods; some even love eating venison and wild game.
Bucks have to travel long distances to find a female deer to mate.
Sometimes they lose muscle mass and weight in the pursuit of sexual encounters.
Jyeshtha natives themselves will travel long distances if they know they will have a sexual encounter.
The symbolism of Jyeshtha is an umbrella, which shows protection and a sign of a royal authority.
The royal members of the family have someone follow them carrying an umbrella to protect them from the harsh sunlight.
It was used during wars on elephants to show the king behind the army, and mostly, it was the royal female of the palace who always had to be in the shade.
The other symbolism of Jyeshtha Nakshatra is the amulet.
Amulets are usually used in old cultures in India, China, Latin America, and are used for occult and mystical protection to the native.
Indra himself used an amulet to win over his enemies.
Jyeshtha natives go deep into the occult, tantra, and hidden mysteries of the unknown.
Jyeshtha is also connected with yoga, especially Kriya Yoga, because it’s the eldest form of yoga to attain God realization.
Indra, having a thousand eyes, is extremely helpful in yoga as the Crown chakra is the home of the 1000 petal lotus.
Indra is the king of Gods and is considered as the hero amongst the Gods.
His mount is the Airavat elephant, which has 5 trunks.
His weapon is the powerful thunderbolt, Vajra.
Indra defeated the dragon Vrittasur, which he had to do, having lost his kingdom by disrespecting Guru Brihaspati and having difficulties finding a replacement for the Guru.
The Vajra was made from sage Dadhichi’s bones.
Indra also loves drinking his Soma rasa.
Indra seduced Ahilya, the wife of sage Gautam, when the sage was away.
The sage supposedly cursed Indra to have 1000 vaginas. After doing severe penance, Indra eventually turned the 1000 vaginas into 1000 eyes and got the title of “the 1000 eyed one”.
In Mahabharata, Lord Krishna subdued Indra’s ego by lifting the Govardhan.
Indra was angry with the villagers of Gokul as they refrained from providing him with ritual sacrifices.
In anger, he sent heavy rains and wind, but Krishna protected the villagers by lifting the mount Govardhan and providing them shelter.
Indra admitted defeat and recognized Krishna as the incarnated godhead.
Indra is obsessed with Soma, the juice of immortality.
He always needed Soma in the battleground and had Tvastar make more and more juice for him, which strengthened his body like Arnold.
It is said that Indra leaves blood spatters on the ground during battle, which shows the energy of Indra and Mars together.
If Vishakha Nakshatra shows the lustful Indra and his theme of relationship with rishi’s wife, Jyeshtha shows the extreme lustful nature where Indra simply would kill the rishi and would force his way into the house and make love to his wife.
Jyeshtha is the intensified version of Indra.
It’s the Nakshatra of war, and all is fair in love-&-war.
The deity of this Nakshatra is Indra, who also presides over Vishakha Nakshatra.
Indra is the king of the Gods, who is the champion, and is seen as the one enjoying all the luxuries, drinking Soma, & gambling.
He is the king but also the most insecure, as he is not willing to let go of his throne.
He’s bulky, strong, handsome, with a huge ego and lust for women and Soma.
Whenever you think of a man who is godly, rich, a hero and loves to party, think of Indra, and mostly that individual would have Vishakha or Jyeshtha Nakshatra in their chart.
Attributes of Jyeshta Nakshatra in Astrology
Spread from 16’40” up to 30’00” degree in the Scorpio (Vrischika) Sign.
The Lord is Mars (Mangal), the deity is Indra, equivalent to Ravi, the king of the firmament.
Indra is the great Lord, the mighty warrior, and a hero among heroes by tradition, and in the plenitude of power, he reigns supreme.
He is the first among courtesans. When this star is unfavourable, it causes sorrow and poverty.
Anthropomorphically it is the middle finger and neck of Kalapurush.

#Jyeshta #Nakshatra in #Astrology
Jyeshta Nakshatra is the ‘constellation of manifestation’. Whatever the Jyeshta native thinks about can be created. So the challenge lies in not thinking about things they don’t want. This might seem like a natural law of attraction. But this law is intensified in them.

The Jyeshta symbols are earrings, which is the highest ornament men can wear (except crown). This shows their status in society. These earrings also symbolise protection from all kinds of negative situations and diseases. The star within this Nakshatra is #Antares, the star of war. This #star is the #heart of the #scorpion. So Antares represents an angry natured individual that is within this fiery Nakshatra.

Lord #Indra, who is the chief of the Gods, had risen to the highest level of consciousness and power. He slew many demons, and as a result, he grew arrogant of his victories and disrespected others such as Brihaspati, Durvasa, etc., he fell from grace, and his downfall happened. This is what Jyeshta natives also face. If they become arrogant and disrespectful towards others, they start facing downfalls.

From the mythological point of view, the 27 Nakshatras are wives of Chandra (the moon). Once Chandra stayed longer with Rohini, who was very beautiful, sensual and enchanting. Jyeshta, who was the eldest sister among the Nakshatras, got very jealous of this, and a spell was cast on Chandra to die. But the sisters (rest of the Nakshatras) didn’t want him to die, so Jyeshta mitigated the spell’s influence on Chandra. Hence, the moon is debilitated in Jyeshta Nakshatra.

Jyeshta natives are considered to have jealousy in them. The whole myth of #Chandra, #Rohini and #Jyeshta revolve around issues of betrayal and abandonment. They also need to be more down to earth. If their material possessions increase, their spiritual well being should also be taken care of. Otherwise, they will end up being outrageously arrogant and egoistic.

In the zodiac wheel, #Shatabhisha Nakshatra is connected to the Scorpio sign.

#SUMER civilisation started around 3700 B.C., exactly when #ANTARES crossed the celestial equator from south to north declination...moving from unconscious to conscious manifestation
..so i searched for a connection between SUMER and ANTARES
In Sumerian tradition Antares was not only seen as GABA.GIR.TAB, the breast of the scorpion but also as a deity called Lisi. The star was originally representing a goddess who was later redefined as a male god. Lisi was closely related to fire and the brazier, the cuneiform name was written with the signs for brazier and red. The male god’s name bears epithets like ‘he who burns with fire’ and ‘he who burns an offering’. It is also very interesting that the name Lisi was used as a generic title for ‘lamenting goddesses’ (compare Gavin White, Babylonian Star-lore).
clearly some special awareness of this, then east rising red star
