From the Russian telegram channel: What will Iran's foreign policy look like under new president #Pezeshkian?

Masoud Pezeshkian, Iran's newly elected president, shared the main priorities of Iran's foreign policy with Sputnik just before the election:

Pezeshkian emphasized his intention to strengthen ties with Russia and China and to ensure Iran's active presence in BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

💬"Russia is a friend and partner of Iran, and I consider the deepening and expansion of relations with Russia and China a top priority, as well as increasing foreign policy activities in the Asian region as a whole. We will undoubtedly continue efforts at all levels—bilateral, regional, and international—to enhance interaction with Russia."

He further elaborated on his views regarding the SCO and BRICS, asserting their importance in his foreign policy strategy.

💬 "Iran opposes unilateral policies and supports the principle of multipolarity. Additionally, one of the priorities of my foreign policy program is regional cooperation. To this end, Iran will expand its presence in #BRICS and SCO, and seek more active cooperation with the EAEU to fully realize the trade and economic potential with the member countries of this organization."

He also expressed hope that #Russia and #China would assist Iran in revitalizing the #JCPOA and lifting sanctions.

💬 "The JCPOA is an international agreement approved by the UN. The US's unilateral withdrawal from this agreement caused significant harm to Iran and the Iranian people. As Russia has emphasized multiple times, Iran has fulfilled its obligations, and we see our task as getting the other participants to return to this agreement as soon as possible and achieving the lifting of sanctions. I am confident that the friendly governments of Russia and China will support Iran and assist in resolving this issue."

Meanwhile, as the theatrics of a #Presidential #Election grind on...... let's all forget bout the #Economy

#USA #debt will reach $35 trillion in the next few days.
In 2020 it was $28.3 trillion
Debt to GDP 2024 = 122%
Debt to GDP 2020 = 57%

Right now about $1 million is added to the total debt about every 30 seconds. Might not sound much... Think how much that is per day.
Around 85% of the debt is owned by interests outside the USA.
China's debt, for example, is about 85% owned by China.

Ordering some extra popcorn: The Supreme Court just gave presidents a superpower. Here’s its explanation

Any other country, and US would be there to invade, bomb, sanction and blockade the country to submission.

But the god blessed US of A is turning into an an open and uncensored banana republic with the backing of the the Christian Taliban members of the Supreme Court and their corrupt conservative buddies.

With its immunity ruling on Monday, the Supreme Court granted former President Donald Trump’s wish of all but guaranteeing that his criminal trial for trying to overturn the 2020 presidential election will not go to trial before the 2024 election in November.

It also granted presidents in general a definitive “absolute immunity” from prosecution for core official acts and said presidents should be presumed immune for a much more expansive list of acts.

#France #election: Le Pen’s far-right party at ‘gates of power’ with 34% of vote, as gamble on snap election appears to backfire spectacularly

#Macron’s centrist alliance and the left-wing coalition call for tactical voting after National Rally wins most votes in first round of France’s parliamentary elections.

Marine Le Pen’s far-right, anti-immigration party is in reach of becoming the biggest political force in the French parliament after a historically high showing in the first round of snap parliament elections.

Exit polls indicated the RN had won about 34 per cent of the national vote share with the leftwing alliance in second place and Mr Macron’s grouping trailing in a distant third.

Iran Election Update: Voter turnout was at an all time low, below 40% of eligible voters which Pezeshkian took 42%. This low turnout was a clear sign that people in Iran don't give a shit about these sham elections.

Now the election will move to a second round next Friday. The big question is, will Iran back Pezeshkian to bring about "change" or will Jalili, an ultra conservative candidate take the office to continue hardliner policies both domestically and on the international front.

Both candidates have heavy bags on their shoulders, with over 4 decades of criminal oppression of the people, murder of over 100k people and turning Iran to have the highest inequality in it's history with some have astronomical incomes and living a lifestyle that is luxurious even for European standard and the vast majority living under the poverty line, with prostitution, drug abuse and street children at the highest level in Iran's history.

the main difference between the 2 is how they want to keep the regime to survive the coming years, one with extreme taliban style pressure on people, the other with some openings and following the Chinese economical example to open up the country to look more to the west rather than to Russia and China.

Democrats are getting nervous!

We have a saying in Farsi, "the soup was so salty, that even the king tasted it" which really means that things have gotten so bad that even those who usually don't admit to existence of a problem are talking about it.

Obama knows #Biden is fucked, he has the whole media and an army of trumpists against him and his dementia and his strange behavior in public and his unquestionable support of #Ukraine and #Israel is costing him among conservative Americans and progressive ones (mostly young voters who don't have the same loyalty to Israeli genocidal regime as the older Americans).

It is sad and kind of scary that we are facing the sole super power in the word having to chose between 2 disgusting people who were fighting in public to show how much they suck up to Israel as their show of strength and leadership!
