Ask social psychologist Phil Zimbardo about "bad apples" versus "bad barrels & barrel-makers".
IMM, Laurence O'Donnell is the embodiment of integrity, plus quite a good fit with the seeking of "context and perspective".
Even good barrels will occasionally produce bad apples, but bad barrels plus bad barrel-makers is what tips the scales toward evil.

If there are islands of responsible journalism that can speak truth to power, and ;even to apparent corruption of 'purity' in one's own ecosystem, I'm happy to see it and celebrate it. I'm thinking O'Donnell, Stephanie ("Let's get smarter" Ruhl), Wagner (who described #Muskvirus as a "free speech absolutist"), and others whose shifts I don't often see .... play on! Continue offering refuges of #truth.

He's had his bond halved and given an extension, which means he will be able to come up with the bond, be it from cashing out #truth (as he regularly does, on another level), or loans from his buddies. Bottom line: No property sell-offs required. He "wins" this.
Even as he depletes the #GQP / #RNC coffers and continues #grifting among the #cult.

Donald Trump was given a reprieve after weeks of struggling to put together a roughly half-billion dollar bond in a New York fraud case, when an appeals court agreed Monday to cut the bond to $175 million. Trump had said he would need to sell properties to raise the cash.

The decision came as Trump faced a deadline to either pay the $454 million fine or post a bond for 120% of that amount while he appealed the ruling. It will allow Trump to appeal without the risk of his assets being seized by New York authorities.

Trump now has 10 days to obtain the $175 million bond, and two people with knowledge of his finances told The New York Times that they were confident he would be able to secure it in that time. Bloomberg has estimated that Trump has a net worth of approximately $3.1 billion, but a large part of it is tied up in assets such as real estate.
