Mahlzeit allerseits,

da meine Umfrage vor fast zwei Wochen mit einer Mehrheit für einen frischen #Neuhier / #Introduction Post ausgegangen ist, habt ihr nun den Salat.

Also, ich bin 0mega (mit einer Null vorne, wird aber "Omega" gesprochen und nicht "Null-Mega"). Ich weiß, der Nickname ist nicht besonders einfallsreich, aber ich habe ihn nun seit einigen Jahren und gebe ihn nicht mehr her.

Ich mochte dezentrale soziale Netzwerke schon immer. Irgendwann um 2006 habe ich mir ejabberd eingefangen, 2012 war ich bereits auf Diaspora* aktiv und seit 2020 betreibe ich hier unter social.c-r-t.tk meinen eigenen Hub.

Außerdem programmiere ich hin und wieder gerne, auch wenn das in den letzten Jahren leider etwas in den Hintergrund gerückt ist. Ein bisschen VB.Net hier, Shell-Skripte dort und mittlerweile taste ich mich auch mal etwas an C heran. Beruflich habe ich damit eher weniger zu tun, auch wenn meine Kolleg*innen ein paar meiner VB.Net-Anwendungen verwenden.

Ich mag Open Source, Metal, Horrorfilme, Science-Fiction und zocke gerne auf meiner Linux-Kiste. Auch schon bevor Steam für Linux herauskam ;-) Nirgends kann man so schön (legal) Nazis die Rübe von den Schultern ballern, wie bei Wolfenstein.

An Hardware zu basteln macht mir ähnlich viel Spaß, wie an Software. Ich kann mich noch erinnern, wie mir mein Bruder meine erste Soundkarte in die Hand drückte (ich meine es war ein SB-Clone mit ESS 688) und ich statt der üblichen Piepstöne auch mal einigermaßen wohlgeformte Klänge vernehmen konnte :-D Insgesamt habe ich ihm auch relativ viel in Bezug auf meine Ausrichtung zu verdanken, vermutlich nicht nur im musikalischen oder technischen Zusammenhang.

Ansonsten bin ich (auch bei Hardware) eher jemand von der Kategorie "Gebraucht first, Neuware second". Entsprungen ist dies eher den prekären Lebensumständen, aus denen ich hervorging, aber im Sinne der Nachhaltigkeit greife ich doch immer noch recht häufig auf diese Denkweise zurück.

Mehr will mir momentan nicht einfallen. Falls es Fragen gibt: Für ein "AMA" habe ich zwar nicht wirklich genug Zeit heute, aber schreibt ruhig was unter den Post ;P

Je m'appelle Marie-Gaëlle, je suis #artiste indépendante, aquarelliste et dessinatrice.
Mes armes : des crayons pointus comme des talons aiguilles et de l' #aquarelle lumineuse.
J'illustre principalement des femmes issues de la #fantasy et de la #mythologie : déesses, nymphes, sorcières. Parfois mon contenu peut être spicy (nu ou soft érotique), je mettrai des CW.

Welcome to my new followers after my most popular #Fediverse post ever!

I realize I don't have an #introduction post up, so this is a good opportunity to fill the void. In short, this account is a dump. A mental dump of what I have to blurt out to the world.

Here I'm mainly known for working on #Friendica (#programming), one of many pieces of software part of the #Fediverse. We strive to be compatible with as many decentralized social media protocols as possible, at the moment we're compatible with #Diaspora, #ActivityPub (think Mastodon) and #OStatus, with optional connectors with #Twitter and others.

Okay, it's time for my proper #introduction #introductions - hello, I’m #newhere

Today's been quite the long day. I'm Novimatrem (or just Novi), I've been on #diaspora before, but my old instance started to get quite broken and is soon to shut down, so, I'm here now!

Glad to be here, I'm a sleepy young catgirl from the UK (England), who runs #linux on a lot of computers. I'm big into technology, mostly between the years of 1980 to 2013, but stuff outside of that range can be okay, essentially I like computer hardware and software~

I make websites, and stuff, and am trying to learn more programming languages so I can make even more things that are good!

I'm still adjusting to migrating to a new pod, and getting a grip of things again, so please have patience- I'll be posting more often with time, soon!

Sorry if my posting or sentence structure seems awkward sometimes, I have autism, and likely other neurodivergences- it shouldn’t affect anything much, but please ask for clarity if I ever post something you’re unsure of.

Oh, and my pronouns are she/her/hers, I'm a girl.

I hope to post, comment, and generally interact quite a lot, here, because this is my only traditional social media, now.

Hello #diaspora!

While not exactly #newhere, I have been away from diaspora since such a long time now I was pleasantly surprised that this account still exists. My participation here wasn’t much even back earlier, but I’d like to change this. Perhaps a brief #introduction can help connect with relevant crowd better, so here it goes:

Introduction

I am:
- a male in his 30's from #India, in a stable setup;
- a #Hindu, but not particularly religious or traditional. At various times, I have identified myself as atheist, religious, right wing, trad, - traditional, anti-theist, agnostic, ignostic/igtheist etc. At the moment I have stopped caring for these labels.
- an engineer, who, despite what my interests below may indicate, does no coding, nor builds anything;
- former knows-it-all, who still likes to dig a little;
- more of a skeptic/blunt critic, than trusting;

Je poursuis ma migration depuis #framasphere (enfin plutôt, je recrée des contacts sur le réseau).

Même sur une petite instance, ça reste assez lent...

C'est ce qui m'avait fait un peu déserter en fait... Je compare à Mastodon, où l'utilisation avec un ordinateur de faible puissance reste fluide

J'essaie de suivre moins de tags. Il faudrait arriver à trouver un usage différent de Mastodon, en profitant d'une possibilité d'édition plus vaste
