The IDF abducted liberated prisoner Hisham Abu Hawwash from his home in Dura, #AlKhalil.

Hisham Abu Hawwash, 42 years old, was released from Israeli prison after his 141-day-long hunger strike in January 2022 following his abduction without charge or trial in October 2020.

This is yet another illegal kidnapping of innocent Palestinians by the Israeli occupation forces.

The occupying forces arrested Fadieh Barghouti, an activist, the wife of prisoner Mahmoud Barghouti and the mother of prisoner Basil Barghouti after raiding her house in Deir Ghassaneh, #Ramallah.

Israel has stepped up kidnapping of family members of prisoners in occupied West Bank without much publicity in western media.

Over 7000 Palestinians have been kidnapped by IDF and Israeli police in various parts of the occupied #WestBank.

Prisoners institutions report that since October 7th, over 7,000 Palestinians have been abducted in the West Bank.

This includes 220 women, including those abducted in the occupied interior, and 440 children.

53 journalists have been abducted, 36 of whom remain imprisoned, and 21 of which are in administrative detention without charge or trial.

3,490 administrative detention orders were given after October 7th.

These abduction campaigns have been accompanied by criminal acts at the hands of the zionist state, including abuse, beatings, and threats against detainees and their families, as well as destruction of homes, confiscation of vehicles, money, and jewelry. While carrying out arrests, the IOF often destroys infrastructure particularly in Tulkarem and Jenin.

In addition, the IOF carried out field executions during these campaigns, including of members of the detainees’ families.

At least eight Palestinians were martyred in the occupation prisons after October 7:
- Omar Daraghmeh from Tubas,
- Arafat Hamdan from Ramallah,
- Majid Zaqoul from Gaza,
- A fourth martyr whose identity is unknown,
- Abdulrahman Mar’i from Salfit,
- Thaer Abu Asab from Qalqilya
- Abdulrahman Al-Bahsh from Nablus,
- Mohammed Al-Sabbar from Al-Khalil.

Several others have been martyred following detention from Gaza, including in the "Sde Teman" prisoner camp in occupied Bir Al-Sabi' or by field execution.

The total number of prisoners in the zionist prisons is over 9,000, including 3,484 administrative detainees.

Impressment

the Royal Navy was additionally known to pay wages up to two years in arrears. The Navy always withheld six months' pay as a standard policy, in order to discourage desertion. Naval wages had been set in 1653, and were not increased until April 1797 after sailors on 80 ships of the Channel Fleet based at Spithead mutinied.

Despite this, there were still many volunteers for naval service. (...) For major voyages, shipowners and governments routinely estimated that 50% of the sailors would die due to scurvy.

(...) The recruitment figures presented to Parliament for the years 1755–1757 list 70,566 men, of whom 33,243 were volunteers (47%), 16,953 pressed men (24%), while another 20,370 were listed as volunteers separately (29%).

Although there are no records that explain why volunteers were separated into two groups, it is likely these were pressed men who became "volunteers" to get the sign-up bonus, two months' wages in advance and a higher wage. It is known that large numbers did this. Volunteering also protected the sailor from creditors, as the law forbade collecting debts accrued before enlistment. A disadvantage was that volunteers who deserted were liable to execution if captured, whereas pressed men were simply returned to service.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Impressment

Russia deports 17 children with disabilities from occupied Donetsk Oblast

Russia #deported 17 Ukrainian children with #disabilities from the occupied part of Donetsk Oblast to a rehabilitation center near Moscow as part of the forced #passportization campaign in the occupied territories of Ukraine, Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets said on Jan. 22.

Ukrainian authorities have identified over 19,000 Ukrainian children who have been illegally deported to Russia since the beginning of the full-scale invasion in February 2022. Some of them were deported under the guise of sending them for rehabilitation and then put into the custody of Russian families.

Israeli forces in occupied West Bank are kidnapping Palestinians for no reason and keeping them hostage

That seems to be the new #Netanyahu directive to increase the number of "prisoners" during the future negotiations.

And as expected, we don't hear a word from the moral guardians of the "civilized west" against this outrageous criminal actions.

Russia deports another 450 Ukrainian children

Russia has deported another 450 children from areas of Ukraine under Russian occupation, the National Resistance Center reported on Aug. 17.

According to the center, 50 Ukrainian high school students were sent to #Yaroslavl, a city about 250 kilometers northeast of #Moscow. The center believes that once there, Russian teachers will try to convince the students to continue their higher education at Yaroslavl State University.

Another:

  • 200 children from occupied parts of Luhansk Oblast
  • 150 children from Kherson Oblast
  • 50 children from Zaporizhzhia Oblast

Were all sent to 'summer camps' in #Krasnodar region.

Ukrainian children are taught to believe Russian propaganda in these camps and attend activities like Russian patriotic concerts. At the end of the camp, #Ukrainian children are often not returned home.

Russia kidnaps, tortures Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant engineer

Russia has illegally held Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant engineer Serhii Potynh in captivity since June and subjected him to torture, Ukraine's state nuclear energy company Energoatom reported on July 28.

"More than a month ago on June 23, 2023, the (Russian) invaders abducted Serhii Potynh, a labor protection engineer of the Central Technical and Administrative Department of the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, who remained to work at the station," Energoatom wrote on its Telegram channel.

According to the company's statement, Potynh was seen at a police station where the occupation authorities held other employees of the plant and local residents.

"Serhii, held in actual captivity by the Russians, is regularly subjected to torture and physical violence."

The occupation authorities reportedly hospitalize him after every round of torture so that he does not die. Potynh's relatives living under occupation confirmed that he is alive, #Energoatom informed.

Editorial: Today's Russia is fascist. It’s time to start calling it that

We went and killed everyone. There were women, men, seniors, and children.”

These were the words of Azamat Uldarov, an ex-fighter of Russia’s Wagner mercenary group who personally admitted to shooting dead a five or six-year-old girl, speaking to Russian independent outlet Gulagu.net. Uldarov, together with ex-Wagner commander Aleksei Savichev, both described being given and carrying out orders to “clean” entire buildings or areas in Donetsk Oblast of civilians by murdering them all.

The confessions came out on the back of a video of Russian troops, later reported as also belonging to Wagner, beheading a Ukrainian prisoner-of-war with a knife.

No, this is not a fever dream, this is fascist Russia in 2023.

Russia’s abduction of Ukrainian children is an established genocidal tactic during war

Russia’s forceful displacement of Ukrainians is a centuries-tested practice of conquest.

Von Guttner Sporzynski highlights that the tradition of abduction and forced displacement of the non-conformist population is deeply rooted in Russia’s history.

He starts from the 16th century, when the first deportations of citizens of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania started, then follows to 19th -century Poland, where around 60,000 people were deported following two anti-Russian rebellions, and ends with the 20th century:

“It is estimated that between 1936 and 1952 at _least three million people were deported across the western territories of Soviet Russia and transported thousands of kilometres away to Siberia and Central Asia.”_ Von Guttner Sporzynski concludes that the children who get abducted today from Ukraine may not find their way back home after the war ends.
