I’m very happy that the second Invisible Illusion is a split with ardleg. Because ardleg is a companion of sound explorations since many years, in the collective KWAY https://archive.org/details/NomenclatureGenerale or next in La 6ème République https://archive.org/details/ROSA_LUX_La_6Eme_REpublique also for Zone fusION https://zonefusion.bandcamp.com/album/now-matter despite it’s still not published on the netlabel.
We are no more living in the same town but we try to keep collaborating thru time & space. Like I did with Humanfobia for the first invisible illusion TOHU WA BOHU https://archive.org/details/Invisible_Illusion_Tohu_Wa_Bohu_Disc_1
I sent the raw improvisation session to ardleg and he created these upgraded tracks listenable on the EP.
And next I reworked a little the raw tracks adding several layers to two of them, reading poetry on another one and that’s the LP.
I prefer called them EP and LP to avoid any order. That one would be before or after is irrelevant. You can listen first one or the other or both at the same time it’s up to you, like for the world : alternatives are better.
Seems that one important point with Invisible Illusion project is to show the result of different development process apply to one source…

About the surface of this album :
I found a plastic turntable cover with the inscription “electronic control”, it was transparent so I thought I would be able to made an interesting artwork cover by taking a shot thru this.
Then I decided to create an accurate music for it. After the quite dark Tohu Wa Bohu I wanted to slowly glide to the light.
That’s why despite it could have been far more on the electronic side actually it sounds very industrial music with a touch of “jazz”, not real jazz more the sort of dark jazz Mecano did on Autoportrait album.

Also the silence within silence has been record for the excellent compilation silence by Camembert Electrique. It’s a slightly different version https://camembertelectrique.bandcamp.com/track/silence-within-silence than the both versions listenable on the LP.

About the depths of this album :

Do you remember ?
The first time you disobeyed to an order, not to something maybe acceptable from a skilled authority but from the kind of authoritarian people without skill, needing hierarchy power to show they are above the other, despite it could be just small team chief
with very little power, the smaller they are the more they need to prove it by being nasty. Do you remember how the struggle for this freedom make you aware of who you are ?
Disobedience is one thing but it’s meaningful only if it leads to autonomy. What a pity if slaves break their iron chains to swap with golden chains.

I will try to talk the less possible about control, because it makes me sick, but it’s the plot of this album.
There is only one song with real lyrics and Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche quotations, most of the music is echoing the feelings grown inside me in the last few years.
So since the covid excuse to build up the electronic control society, situation is awful, it was already the case several years ago : there was the increasing level of state violence, state terrorism and media censorship.
It can still get worst making us our own cops, all that black mirror shit already more than half happens.
If it needs to resume : shock strategy worked perfectly and now as some said there will be no way back without fighting for our rights.
Well this sounds naïve, if you remember the subprime crisis or the looting of Greece, you know that the dices are loaded : states, banks, multinationals create rules that they never really follow.
Corruption is the replication process of capitalism virus. (Hand in hand with mafias). So what ? Solidarity is the antidote.
Perhaps keep a space to think by yourself, act by yourself at your local level, your own way,
keep your dreams alive and don’t feed the nightmare with your hopes. And at some point we may wake up.

Hypnotic like a free fall without gravity thru altered states... between two parenthesis : the break through and the back to this deadly corrupted world.
About beneath the surface :
Mostly recorded at the same time we released Hum Antenna https://archive.org/details/rADio_eNd_Hum_Antenna , trying the best to digg this way, but with free mind, so that's why it's a different trip perhaps more introspective, I kind of mediation. It's hard to create anything artistic in today world. Especially for my example living in france, when I watch a film like 7 Prisioneiros, which shows how the system is built to corrupt anyone, like if there was no alternative between be a prey or a predator, I feel helpless. How can I help, how creating music can help in such a world were life in so many country seems so hellish ? Seems there will be always the damned flag of Punishement Park floating in the dream of most of population. So that's why this music comes to show as well their will be always people not dreaming to become a predator at the top of food chaine, prefering help other humans to remember what is really making beat their hearts. And it's absolutly not the mainstream fake needs provided to stay in the confort zone of the controled consumerism. Amongst many things It could be the way we listen our relationship to any living being, the free share of our skills, the fertile mix of our differences and particulary the love which make us act for the others. All kind of transcendant things which lead us to realise inedit utopias. However freedom and happyness are hopeless if it's not share by all.

A word from Ed End (to be clear that means it engages only me in the project).
These last months I avoided to talk about the situation here mostly because there is no way to have a real discussion. There is no real arguments It's just an opinion war with behind some who believe that a state care of his population and other who believe that a state won't do it. Actually some have no more the same rights than other because of medical excuses.
It's not that new, because in reality it's an universal thing, everywhere the richs are not with the same rights than the poor, just sometime a trial win for hide the rest. But what is new is that they do not dissimulate it. The french state dissalow to their citizen to choice what to do with our body, with our health. No matter if it could be small problems compare to other shits, when I see a racialized mother asking in a small town library if her children 12 years can come and despite the place is empty the employee refuses because of a vaccinal pass. Each one should be able to choice. If someone want to try an experimental vaccine, I'm ok with it, but I'm not ok if this personn spread the propaganda, and social pressure or threats toward the others. I'm absolutly against some pro experimental vaccine people who talk and act with in their mind, constiously or not, the idea that they would get rid by any way of the people doing not like them. Again that stinky idea that the solution to their probleme is to kill the different ones. I don't care if they are drive by the fear or control by the state or just mindless. That is inacceptable.

This said I'm doing industrial music because I criticise any control mechanism, I could say anything relevant or whatever, that's matter not that much. I could say that you should think by yourself, the process will be still a spokesperson saying you what to do, so it sucks anyway.
Everything is about control or conditionned selfcontrol dissalowing you to think by yourself. It's up to you to shut down the power. I hope you can feel how to escape from the matrix.

Perhaps you'd better stop drink that milk and honey, catch your train to the underground railroad ?

I'm very happy that the first Invisible Illusion is a split with Humanfobia. I orientated my sound with this project to be closer of witch house style for example because of Cian Orbe Netlabel compilations like this one https://archive.org/details/v-a-post-witch-music-vi and also because we share very close ideas about free music.
This is not the first time we do a split, we already did one "Strange Pearls" https://archive.org/details/yaka-anima-yoshiwaku-strange-pearls-split with other projects. But this time the process is slightly different, and that's why this is not a rADio eNd album, last summer I sent the raw improvisation session to Humanfobia and they created these upgraded tracks listenable on disc 2. And next I reworked a little the raw tracks adding one or two layers on one, reading poetry on another one and that's the disc 1.

While I was trying hard to cut out the Gordian knot about how to organise this split album, thinking about to melt our contributions in the playlist or to follow the rhythm progression for Humanfobia playlist etc, I noticed Humanfobia choice to base their tracks on the 10 egyptian plagues instead of me who based it on the seven plagues of the apocalypse. So I kept the 10 plagues order for the playlist and split the album in two discs.
This to point out that what could seems a missunderstanding could be more meaningfull about the way these two propheties could be link.
Same way I'm not that much in apocalypse topic, really not into collapsology I didn't choice the theme, it comes by itself. But I noticed that in addition of "The World is Over !",
archive.org/details/VA_The_World_is_Over__A_side and despite it's still not achieve we've got a Multiple Personality 3 album called Glauko Psyche waiting since several years amongst other things like the french lyrics of Paroxysmic Rhapsody with that sort of end of time theme. Perhaps it's only because that I feel everything around, I don't make any statement about it I just think there are many signs. So perhaps the way this album is organise could talk about the way it's organise between real life and myths, who knows ?
I can only hope each one is conscious about the disasters humanity is spreading over this world.
And that we will not let this rot like a larva wasting its ressources before turn into butterfly and then diying stupidly.
But that we will do obvious choices to stop all this shit. There is a time to think and a time to act.

Last thing this is a share of free culture, and it's not a hasard if there are two poems ( In french here https://lundi.am/Arracher-l-art-a-l-artifice ) from an anonymous writer in this album,
free culture is not only the opposite of property but also of narcissic behavior. It was so good to read the writer answer to do whatever I want because its writing owns itself.
This is one of Brion Gysin & William S Burroughs legacy : the Cut-Up teaching shows that most of the artist live only with the illusion to be generator,
because everything is a permanent mix of conscious and subconscious sources. Others know they are only mediums and care of their artworks that way. I mean if we bring children on earth it's for they do their own choices. Not to be steril clones stuck in a loop.

I struggle for free culture since more than 20 years because the free share of ressources seems for me the key for a world no more rule by nations or multinational corporations.
And that's one of the things I'm talking about we are all connected to each one, and we need to get ride of the separation illusion.
Invisible Illusion may be a kind of key.

Ed End :

Novation Bass Station analog synthesizer in rack with Yamaha DX21 keyboard.
Rhythms generated by a Digitech Trio Pedal in various FX circuits, coupled with a pink Mini Kaossilator Korg, an electric frequencies generator, and various FX pedals.
Samples are done with an old turntable with an elastic band and some other stuff under the records to make irregular playing surfaces.
Etheric Body incorporates a computer overlayer mix.

Editing Process :

To produce this collection, Goff blended many of his own original recordings with Ed’s source materials. Goff also modified Ed’s source materials in many ways. Simple digital effects altered source track sounds and/or speeds. Some source tracks were played on a keyboard directly through the inputs of a Korg Vocoder. On one piece, a single rhythmic source phrase was modified in a number of ways, then the various modified phrases were linked together into a chain. Some source tracks were converted to MIDI files, then the resulting tracks were altered to showcase a variety of MIDI sounds. Some edits were recorded onto a 4 track cassette tape and remixed manually into digital files.

About Salvador Salvandus concept you will discover yourself an answer if you translate the fifth track title.
It seems one big problem in this world is about on one side the self proclamated saviors, kind of people often thinking that there is only one solution : their solution... and on the other side the savior worshipers, kind of people often thinking it's more safe to be save by someone else than to do it themselves...
For me both are wrong. Of course, people with a little psychological skills know that the "hand seeking help", is more trying to drag down someone else to feel less low. Sameway that the "helping hand" is more trying to steal the benefit of the salvation. Obviously the savior can't save and the savior seeker can't be save.
Both being blinded because too much self centered. In this problem there is not only two subjects but three and this third one is the world itself, and the world, this wide network of living beings brings a real solution if you are able to listen it. You get the process and knows how to act toward to solve it till you are able to feel these connections and understand how to set your mind.
Hard to explain fully in few words roughly translate that's why I prefer let the music talk.

Above the surface :
It took me several listening before to get it, Salvador Salvandus is the kind of album you can often go back to and slowly become a familliar presence as well as that shadow behind you can be. For me it's an important step in rADio eNd study of how a kind of soul can be reveal thru the transformation of the sound material. That's why I'm so happy Goff share his editing process. And I hope you will be as joyfull than me that he brings this music to life.
