Le 6 janvier 2021, des partisans de Donald Trump prennent d'assaut le Capitole, à Washington, afin d'empêcher le Sénat et la Chambre des représentants de confirmer formellement la victoire de Joe #Biden à l’élection présidentielle. Le bilan est lourd : 5 morts et une centaine de blessés. Environ 15 % des assaillants s’avèrent être d'anciens membres de l'armée ou de la #police américaines, souvent organisés en #milices d'extrême droite hostiles à l'État. Cette statistique étonnante soulève une question importante : pourquoi est-ce précisément ceux qui ont fait le serment de protéger la démocratie qui l'attaquent ? En marche pour la violence Si la fumée au-dessus du Capitole s'est dissipée, le problème demeure : la #société américaine apparaît profondément divisée et les risques d’affrontements sanglants restent élevés. Tous deux anciens #militaires, le réalisateur américain Charlie Sadoff et son coauteur et producteur Kenneth Harbaugh ont pu aisément s'immerger dans le monde des vétérans de l’armée américaine. Ils ont eu accès à l’univers violent de l'extrême #droite et de ses milices antiétatiques, comme les Proud Boys, les Three Percenters et les Oath Keepers, organisés et dirigés par des ex-militaires bien formés et motivés. Avec l'aide de témoins exclusifs – un ancien agent du #FBI, un vétéran, un membre des Proud Boys, un chasseur de #nazis ainsi que des experts de l’extrémisme de droite –, le film remonte jusqu'à l’origine de ces groupes et analyse leur radicalisation croissante, alors que Donald Trump a repris sa marche pour un second mandat à la #Maison-Blanche.

Reading "public activity" on Diaspora, I get a big sense of

How things have changed, and so quickly!

The #Republicans fought a war to end #slavery, but now they're the Bad Guys.
The #Democrats founded the #KKK and battled against #civil-rights, but now they're The Good Guys.

It went from right-vs-wrong to us-vs-them.

Way too much about politics on this Diaspora. I know everything is political for some reason, but it shouldn't be that way.

The #Kahanist (Israeli #KKK) Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich calls for a ban on Palestinians harvesting olives near Israeli settlements in the West Bank and for the creation of "barren" zones prohibiting the presence of Palestinians in the vicinity of settlements and the main roads leading to them.

Stealing their land and wasn't enough, setting up apartheid walls and isolating them wasn't enough, now he wants to use the Hamas attacks to destroy more Palestinian farmland and homes in occupied #WestBank.

#Kahanist (Israeli #KKK) minister #BenGvir congratulated IOF for capturing "Terrorist" and #HumanRights activist "who was sentenced for attacking an Israeli military" and for "Waging Cyber #Terrorism" and support of "Nazi fighters" and "Terrorists". He added " 0 tolerance of terrorists and their supporters. This is it."

Do not expect any of the feminists, celebrities, ministers or members of the parliament to stand up and call for her release and condemn this faacist regime and their out of control occupation military.

Some will refrain because they are afraid, others because they don't care. In the mean time, Israeli occupation forces who received carte blanche from their faacist coalition government are destroying homes, roads, solar panels and taking 100s of palestinians into indefinite detention all over occupied #WestBank.

Thiis is the regime US and EU support, fund and arm.
