The Origin of #Time and the Great #Sirius Observatory | #HughEvans | #Megalithomania Conference #2024
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFN_A7L356I

An #advanced #ancient #civilisation created the heavens and conceptualised time in all its forms. Now we have the key to understanding their great design, and this is explained in Hugh’s new book, The Origin of Time.

Time in the present at all its scales, the past and the future, time since creation and the human journey, and time of the spirit ‘until eternity’ was created by our ancestors and presented as the constellations. These ancient astronomers named all the constellations, the planets, and stars to reflect their ideas.

For the first time in #human #history we can understand this great design and credit their ingenuity. The Origin of Time is a journey from #Egypt and #GöbekliTepe, Rome and Athens, back to Lascaux and Gwynedd in #Wales.

#Hugh-Evans studied #Astrophysics and graduated in Aeronautical Engineering.

Hugh applies scientific theory, engineering rigour and professional scrutiny to understand our ancient astronomer ancestors. A chance set of circumstances resonated with Hugh’s lifelong research and sent him on the odyssey around North Wales and the #heavens. The result is Hugh’s first book, Origin of the #Zodiac.

5000 yr-old Cyclopean #Megalithic Platform at Urartian Fortress | Van, #Turkey | #Megalithomania
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kIuw68CqyRk

A gigantic megalithic platform is located next to Van Castle in Turkey and may date to five thousand years ago. In the Urartian era, it was built upon and developed into the huge site during the 7th Century BC that we see today. Inscriptions on two of the blocks are Urartian script. However, no one knows who built the gigantic cyclopean construction. It resembles other cyclopean walls that we see at Meydan Kalesi and Alaca Höyük in Turkey, and also sites in Peru, Italy, Greece and Baalbek in Lebanon. Located next to it are rock-cut hypogeum steps and other features that show a high level of stone-working skill. In tradition, this is the area of the ‘Garden of Eden’ and giants are usually thought to be the builders. Nearby are other remarkable sites including Çavuştepe which has precision stonework, like that found at Puma Punku in Bolivia, which we will feature in an upcoming video.

#Sayburç | #2024 Excavation Report & New Discoveries at 11,000 yr-old Site | #Megalithomania
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1uXO_qN2ucU

#Sayburç is located southwest of Sanliurfa and is one of the 12 ‘Taş Tepeler’ sites in southeast #Turkey. Two separate areas have been discovered, the northern zone containing an oval bedrock enclosure with the 3D panel, whist just south several structures with T-pillars and remarkable stonework have been revealed. In this video Hugh Newman and Andrew Collins explore the new excavation and document some fascinating discoveries including human remains, a huge ‘dromos’ #stone, strange carvings, holed stones and more. Debbie Cartwright joins in the conversation and they discuss what this could all mean.

Before #GöbekliTepe | #BoncukluTarla | Exclusive Site Exploration & Museum Visit | #Megalithomania
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qp9XhisFqE

On the upper reaches of the Tigris river in Turkey are several archaeological sites that predate Göbekli Tepe including one that could be up to 13,000 years old. This is Boncuklu Tarla (Beaded Field), where excavations have revealed 30 residential houses, 6 public structures and the skeletons of 130 individuals. More than 100,000 beads, and shaped raw copper have been unearthed (also found at nearby Gre Filla Höyük). Much of this is on display at Mardin Museum which is investigated in this video. The square enclosures at the site are up to 30 feet wide and contain standing stones about 5 feet tall, some of the earliest megaliths on the planet. Notably, one enclosure has a holed stone in its wall, just like we find at #KarahanTepe and Göbekli Tepe. Could this be evidence of very early astronomical observations? Boncuklu Tarla, like many of the earliest sites in Turkey, was buried beneath a mound with finds dating from nearly 13,000 to 9,000 years old (Epipaleolithic period through to the Late pre-pottery Neolithic B).

This Is Not Peru! | Amazing 2,700 Yr-Old #Rock-Cut #Temple in #Spain | #CastroDeUlaca | #Megalithomania
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQx1MOqYWCc

Castro de Ulaca is a stunning mountain-top megalithic complex that looks like it is located in the highlands of Peru. But it is not! It is located in near Villaviciosa, central Spain and dates back at least 2700 years and is surrounded by a massive defensive wall. The famous ‘sacrificial altar’ made of granite has niches and steps, plus what looks like a section of a polygonal wall, which form part of the same rock-cut hypogeum sanctuary. Further up the hill is what is called the ‘ritual sauna’, another rock-cut space with a porthole stone and other features. We also find balanced rocks, cup-marks and nubs like we find in Peru. Numerous Verracos (bull or boar) statues were found here and now located in local town squares and museums. Castro de Ulaca is said to have been the ancient capital of the Vettones (a Celtic Tribe) but has not been properly excavated to date. Includes exclusive aerial footage.

High #Technology in #Ancient #India | Was #Lepakshi #Temple Built by Giants? | #Megalithomania
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWvGrpqQHpw

The temple of Lepakshi in Andhra Pradesh, India, is seeped in mythological grandeur. The larger-than-life sculptures and exquisite friezes show aspects of Hindu mythology. It has shrines dedicated to #Shiva, #Vishnu, Papanatheswara, Raghunatha, #Rama and other deities. Located a few hundred metres from the main temple is the giant granite bull #Nandi sculpture said to be the second largest monolithic structure in India at 20 feet in height and 30 feet in length. The main temple also has a 2.5ft giant footprint which locals say was carved from an original footprint of a giant from an earlier era. There is also the mysterious hanging pillar, the remarkable ‘thali bowl’ rock carvings and the giant #Naga-Lingham, all showing signs of high technology. Although it is said to have been only built in the 16th Century, locals say it is of ancient origin and built by giants.

#Mountains #of #Fire | #Starmaps of the #Pyrenees | #Simon-Miles | #Megalithomania #2023
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=54XzhatLDbo

There is a mystery hidden in the layout of certain Templar châteaux, churches and peaks in the foothills of the Pyrenees in the south of France. Simon Miles began an investigation into claims of alignments in the area in the late 1990s. In this talk, he presents his results, including the discovery of multiple examples of meridians marked in mountain peaks, a collection of large-scale Pythagorean triangles and an extraordinary landscape zodiac laid out around a village with a fascinating history. Taken together, these fragments are the traces of a vast astronomical instrument embedded in the landscape of the Pyrenees mountains, aligned to major compass angles, the winter solstice sunrise and major stars, in similar manner to related ancient sites all over the world.

Simon Miles is an author, researcher and speaker. He has been investigating the sacred geography of southern France for more than two decades, including five years living in the Languedoc. His first book, The Map and the Manuscript: Journeys in the Mysteries of the Two Rennes, was published by Ignotum Press in 2022. Originally from Australia, he now lives near Manchester. The #Celestial #Landscape & Pathways of #Bodmin-Moor, #Cornwall | #CarolynKennett | #Megalithomania
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xj5v_5O3FvU

#Bodmin Moor in Cornwall is a rich #prehistoric #landscape. During the talk we visit a number of distinct ritual landscapes found on the moor and delve into their connectivity with the skyscape. These locations contain stone rows, circles, burial mounds and living spaces. Alongside the solar and lunar cycle the talk will explore connectivity to other astronomical features such as the Milky Way, before discussing more phenomological ideas. It will consider how distinct locations may work astronomically with neighbouring sites, before focusing on the possibilities of long distance astronomically linked pathways across the moor taking into account sightlines to significant hills and tors.

Carolyn Kennett is a is a writer, researcher and astronomer who lives in Cornwall. She researches ancient communities and how they made connections to their skyscapes. She is a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society, and her books include Sites of Prehistoric Bodmin Moor (2022), Uranus and Neptune (2022), Celestial Stone Circles of West Cornwall (2018) and Neptune: From Grand Discovery to World Revealed (2021). She is a communicator of all things astronomical and runs her own walking tours and outreach business Archaeoastronomy Cornwall, while being a director of Mayes Creative, who deliver arts, science and heritage projects throughout #Cornwall. https://archaeoastronomycornwall.comSee less

The Celestial Landscape & Pathways of Bodmin Moor, Cornwall | Carolyn Kennett | Megalithomania

amazing that new things are still being found
enter image description here
Some amazing Hurlers Stone Circles facts
There were originally over 70 stones in the circles, but now there are just 38 to see
Many of the stones in the Hurlers stone circles have been robbed over the centuries. Stone robbing was common by stonemasons and builders
The cows on Bodmin Moor have knocked some of them over as they use them as scratching posts!
The stones are made of granite which this area is famous for
There are markings that these stones were carved out and made smooth by ancient tools
Many of the missing stones are now represented by marker stones
The site is currently managed by English Heritage but this causes some controversy with Cornish heritage – signs have been stolen and destroyed in the past! So, it is also represented by the Cornish Heritage Trust.

Mysterious #Portland | The #Sacred #Landscape & Legacy of Britain’s Masonic Isle | #Megalithomania
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r82Qrb4OK-w

The Isle of Portland in #Dorset was known as the ‘Gibraltar of Wessex’, a giant wedge of layered limestones and flint famous for supplying stone for rebuilding London after the Great Fire. However, it is also a liminal place of supernatural occurrences, which has blended into the very fabric of the island with remarkable sacred geometry between its churches, chapels and landscape contours. Gary explains the mysteries in context with the latest research of intelligent energies and that the unique situation and fabric of the island is the cause of many of its mysteries. He also reveals why the #megalithic peoples built so many of their monuments on the high plateaux of the island.

Gary Biltcliffe is an international author, speaker and tour guide on Britain’s sacred sites and the hidden mysteries of earth energies. He is co-author of The Spine of Albion, The Power of Centre and The Spirit of Portland. His knowledge of ancient civilisations and the Freemasons have helped to reveal new discoveries on Portland that have stretched his beliefs to the very limits and inspired this new book on Britain’s Masonic Isle. https://belinusline.com/

#Earth #Grids and #LeyLines | The #Invisible #Super-Science of the #Megalith Builders | #Megalithomania
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vKbV02JQkB0

Is there a geometrical #energy #system that surrounds our #planet?

A super grid involving polyhedral forms, ley lines, earth energy currents, cymatics and archaeoastronomical alignments? We now know that the world was surveyed by an ancient elite of astronomers, navigators, surveyors and shamen who explored and mapped the earth in antiquity. Did they map a grid on to the planet after the Younger Dryas Impact Event 12,000 years ago, and did they work with earth energies and sacred geometry to re-fertilise the landscape and bring harmony back to the planet? Legends all over the world talk of great civilizers teaching the higher arts and sciences to those they came into contact with. This included building megalithic temples and pyramids using geodetic, astronomical, mathematical and geometric principles. ‘Earth energy science’ will also be explored, showing how the ancients manipulated natural magnetic earth currents, not only for enhancing fertility of their crops and weather modification, but also to get into altered states. The ancients also understood how to ‘enchant the landscape’ and maintain a level of higher consciousness across the planet by utilising these specific principles, using intricately designed megalithic sites, pyramids and earthworks as the keys. This multi-media presentation unravels the secrets of the grid, forgotten sacred texts and ancient myths to give an answer as to who did it, why, and how it can help us today.

Meydan Kalesi | #Giant #Polygonal and #Cyclopean Walls in #Turkey | #Megalithomania
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SU2JhCOJ6X0

Along the south coast of Turkey in Mersin Province, several massive #megalithic sites with polygonal and cyclopean walls exist, hidden in the hills and mountains. Remarkably similar to sites in Italy, Greece and even Peru, these structures are thought to be Hellenistic (Seleucid Empire) built around 2300 years ago. The site of Meydan Kalesi (Square Castle) has rock-cut hypogeum features, 3D relief carvings and Tiwanaku-like monolithic doorways, yet it is unclear who may have built the first phase of megalithic construction. Includes exclusive aerial footage.

#Geometry of the #Goddess at #GöbekliTepe and #KarahanTepe pt.1 | #HughNewman | #Megalithomania 2022
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5AqNBdrrDQ

Hugh shares new research from southeast Anatolia, looking at the time before Göbekli Tepe, how the site came into being and how geometric principles found in British stone circles are also found here and at Karahan Tepe. Hugh and JJ Ainsworth discovered a Winter Solstice alignment at Karahan Tepe and this is detailed with new research in this lecture. This led JJ to deciphering symbols at this site and others, revealing goddess cults throughout the ‘Tas Tepeler’ region. Part 2 (with JJ) will be available to watch soon.
