Thank you to the protesting student on the #BBC a short while ago, who demonstrated perfectly how (legitimate) protest against the death and destruction in #Gaza so easily dovetails with antisemitic tropes. And why I would never join the protests.
When asked about Zionism and the existence of the state of Israel, she said Jews should have stayed and fought #antisemitism where they were, they can be welcome anywhere. A perfect example of privilege from a white European, she obviously did not have an understanding of history. And yes, shitting on my history is antisemitic.

The discussion about #Israel and #Gaza on Diaspora seems to be dominated by white men who categorically know all the answers, and who are either declaring Israel good guys fighting evil #Hamas and #antisemitism around the world, or declaring #Palestine as innocent lambs who have done no wrong, fighting the ultimate evil of Israel. I see no productive discussion or nuance, so little point engaging.
