Over the past few days, a software package called Deep-Live-Cam has been going viral on social media because it can take the face of a person extracted from a single photo and apply it to a live webcam video source while following pose, lighting, and expressions performed by the person on the webcam. While the results aren’t perfect, the software shows how quickly the tech is developing—and how the capability to deceive others remotely is getting dramatically easier over time.
The results shown using a moving flashlight are quite impressive. It is quite amazing though given that this all just works with some free Python code, a normal 2D photo, and a webcam. Yes, it is certainly not perfect, but is good for a laugh with your friends.

Use DroidCam to turn your Android phone into a wireless webcam for Linux or Windows PC’s and laptops
This is probably most useful on desktop computers that have no webcam, but there is also an OBS Studio plugin, so an Android phone could also act as a secondary webcam when needed on those odd occasions. Also, seeing this can connect wirelessly, you could place this Android webcam further away from your PC as most desktop webcams connect via a USB cable, which can limit its reach.
The free version of DroidCam will get the job done for the most part, but keep in mind that it only allows SD-quality video streams. The higher video quality (1080p) and extra features such as Smooth FPS, video mirroring, the ability to adjust, autofocus, brightness and contrast, and more can be unlocked by purchasing DroidCam X, the paid version of the app.

Dass der Hacker alles unverschlüsselt offline auf USB-Sticks speichert und nicht verschlüsselt in der Cloud scheint auch eher, einem uninformiertem Drehbuchauthor ensprungen zu sein.

Die neue Überwachungskamera von #Lupus, also eine IP #Webcam, kann wohl auch direkt auf #YouTube als Livestream betrieben werden, jetzt frage ich mich, ob die auch auf #PeerTube streamen kann.
Hab es nie mit YouTube ausprobiert, aber wundere mich, ob Peertube nen kompatiblen Endpunkt hat oder überhaupt Livestreaming unterstützt.
Warum gibt es für #Videokonferenzen eigentlich noch keine USB-Sticks, die so tun als wären sie eine #Webcam, und einfach die ganze Zeit eine MPEG 4 oder JPG auf dem Stick als Webcam-Ausgabe ausgeben?

What's going on here this morning? It looks like this crow (or is it a raven?) is on the #osprey #nest while one of the ospreys looks on from nearby. I guess that the interloper is looking for #grubs and #insects to feed on and is thereby serving to clean the nest of #parasites. I presume that's why its presence is being tolerated.

This may not look like the most exciting #picture in the world because it appears to show an empty #nest but the #osprey seen in the upper left corner just flew to that branch. I don't know if it was the #chick's actual maiden flight but now both have developed the ability to fly.
