Tesla drivers are reporting computer #failures after driving off with their brand-new cars over just the first few tens to hundreds of miles.
Researchers find #security flaws in #Skoda cars that may let hackers remotely track them
The vulnerabilities, discovered in the vehicle’s MIB3 infotainment unit, could allow attackers to achieve unrestricted code execution and run malicious code every time the unit starts. This could let an attacker obtain live vehicle #GPS coordinates and speed data, record conversations via the in-car #microphone, take screenshots of the infotainment display, and play arbitrary sounds in the car, according to PCAutomotive.

Imagine what our society might have looked like if the electric engine prevailed over the combustion engine in the automotive industry. Today, and people no longer like to acknowledge it, do to Tesla cars and Elon Musks marketing of them, electric cars became cool. Popular enough that it changed the car market and industry up to the point of influencing politicians to apply ban combustion engine cars in future years to the advantage of the electric one. While an electric car isn't environmentally pure, it certainly is an upgrade to what we have had. Also the noise reduction is massive.
We might be a century late, but the progress is on and thriving, we'll catch up.
