Over 100 Australian lawyers referred Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to the International Criminal Court as an accomplice to the #genocide in #Gaza on the basis of his military, intelligence, and political support for the Israel under Article 15 of the Rome Statute.

Albanese is the first western leader to be referred to the ICC for being an "accessory to genocide." Australia has provided F-35 warplane parts and military intelligence to the Israel since October. Albanese also froze $6 million to #UNRWA and deployed Australian military to the region without disclosing their location or role.

KPMG Corporate Anthem

The anthem that KPMG doesn't want you to hear

https://pluralistic.net/2024/03/02/macedoine/#the-public-option

They first came on my radar in 2001 when they sent a legal threat to a blogger for linking to their website without permission

The actual link was to KPMG's corporate anthem, which remains, to this day, a banger

KPMG's Corporate Anthem
https://web.archive.org/web/20040428063826/http://chkpt.zdnet.com/chkpt/uknewsita/http://anthems.zdnet.co.uk/anthems/kpmg.mp3

The time is now to lead the way,
We share the same the idea
That may win by the end of the day.
Our strength is here to stay.
Identity, one energy,
One strategy, with sympathy.
These are the words that will lead us into a new world.

Notice the link is to a page on the Wayback Machine.

more about KPMG from Cory's blog

They're the architects of Microsoft's tax-evasion plot:
https://www.propublica.org/article/the-irs-decided-to-get-tough-against-microsoft-microsoft-got-tougher

And they were behind Canada's dysfunctional covid contact-tracing app, which never worked, but generated tens of millions in billings to the government of Canada, who used KPMG to hire programmers at $1,500/day, plus KPMG's 30% commission:

KPMG's most bizarre scandal is literally stranger than fiction. The company bribed SEC personnel help its own accountants cheat on ethics exams. The corrupt officials were then given high-paid jobs at KPMG:
https://www.nysscpa.org/news/publications/the-trusted-professional/article/sec-probe-finds-kpmg-auditors-cheating-on-training-exams-061819

But all of that is just scene-setting (and a gratuitous plug for my book) for the latest KPMG scandal, which is, possibly, the most KPMG scandal of all KPMG scandals. The Australian government hired KPMG to audit Paladin, a security contractor that oversees the asylum seekers the country locks up on one of its island gulags (yes, gulags, plural).\
\
Ever since, Paladin has been the subject of a string of ghastly human rights scandals – the worst stuff imaginable, rape and torture and murder of adults and children. Paladin made AU423 million on this contract.\
\
And here's the scandal: KPMG audited the wrong company. The Paladin that the Australia government paid KPMG to audit was based in Singapore. The Paladin that KPMG audited was a totally different company, based in Papua New Guinea, who already had a commercial relationship with KPMG. It was this colossal fuckup that led to the manifestly unfit Singaporean company getting nearly half a billion dollars in public funds:

As a result of the wars unleashed by the U.S. after September 11, 2001, 38,000,000 civilians were displaced.

This is the second highest result in world history. Only World War II resulted in more refugees.

Direct military aggressions, the so-called "war on terror" which led to the creation of ISIS, and economic strangulation have all led to disastrous consequences for the people of a number of states in the Middle East and North Africa, forcing ordinary people to flee their homes, cities, villages and states to other countries.

According to a report https://t.co/MLXyekTZTQ by the Watson Institute for International Studies (an interdisciplinary research center at Brown University, Rhode Island, USA) and with the assistance of Boston University:

  1. #Afghanistan - 5.9 million refugees
  2. #Pakistan - 3.7 million refugees
  3. #Yemen - 4.6 million refugees
  4. #Somalia - 4.3 million refugees
  5. #Philippines - 1.8 million refugees
  6. #Libya - 1.2 million refugees
  7. #Syria - 7.1 million refugees

The report is based on data from 2001 to 2020 + some data collected in 2021.

It is based on the UN data, U.S. documents and information from public sources.

However, the report itself states that 38,000,000 is a very conservative estimate and in reality, the figure can reach from 49,000,000 to 60,000,000, which actually reaches the figures of World War II.

...

To these processes can be added the huge number of refugees from #Ukraine after the U.S.-backed coup d'état and civil war that broke out there.

#Australia Prepares to Roll Out WEF's #Digital IDs for Public
Canada has invested $100 million in taxpayer money into incorporating the system.
The public system is an expansion of the European Union’s “digital vaccine passport.”
Banks and other financial institutions have expressed interest in registering an accredited digital ID but are not part of the system yet.

Dance Hall - Day’s

The building on the right is the Bank of New South Wales,
designed by Edmund Blacket, which opened in Bathurst
in 1856 in rented premises (see below) and moved to this
site in 1860.
The firm of E.Webb & Co, one of Bathurst’s most successful, was
established in 1852 by Edmund Webb, an immigrant from
Cornwall. He started in a small rented shop in George Street and
built the store with the white front and side in 1862, naming it the
Western Warehouse. In 1870 he enlarged his business by
erecting the large edifice next door. Webb manufactured some
of his stock such as clothing and saddlery and sold his goods as
far away as Western Australia and New Zealand.
The next building, with the small white sign, is the Court House
Hotel which began in 1850 as the Elephant and Castle, was used
as the Bank of New South Wales for a few years in the fifties,
became the Court House Hotel in 1872 and from 1876 was known
to Bathurstians as the Metropolitan Hotel. The site is now
occupied by the Tavern Hotel (1997).
