This is why we must close down from the earthly, people say they #meditate when they are making #music, or #gardening or #baking etc... but in action we are connected to the physical, in meditation we close the senses to the outside world completely, turning our attention inward, and in that practice we move through the subtle dimensions that keep us bound. If you struggle with the concept of being "bound" try sitting still for just 2 minutes, attending inward, focusing on the breath or the heartbeat, every day for a week.

Freedom of speech is a great good and part of the #constitution. But you should think about what you say and consider the #consequences. What the Republicans want is to say absolutely everything without any consequences. But that's not how #communication works. The brain can be used and not every analogy is valid. If #Musk now pays everyone to go to court, the American justice system will probably come to a standstill.

Mr. #Rinsch and Netflix are now locked in a confidential arbitration proceeding initiated by Mr. Rinsch, who claims the company breached their contract and owes him at least $14 million in damages. Netflix has denied owing Mr. Rinsch anything and has called his demands a shakedown.

CONSPIRACY THEORY?

So, Benjamin Netanyahu was having trouble with his electorate. He'd been redoing the Israeli constitution to support himself, rather than the Israeli people, and people complained, big time. He was unpopular, people were angry with him. Very, very angry.
Suddenly, Hamas managed to do the impossible, they got through the Iron Dome, an impregnable force that had not been successfully protecting Israel for years. They killed people, they took hostages. Suddenly, all of Israel had forgotten Netanyahu's anti-democratic destruction of the constitution and was focused on Gaza and Hamas.
Neat trick, eh?
Well, not really, it's what all the unpopular leaders do. Blame the problem on immigrants, on Gays, on Blacks, on foreigners, or, best case, Hamas.
So, did Netanyahu open the Iron Dome to let Hamas in? And thereby have 1,400 people killed & 200+ taken hostage. I have no idea, but it wouldn't surprise me if he did. The USA started the American Vietnamese War by planting a bomb on one of their own ships and blaming it on the Vietnamese. They started Iraq by lying about 'weapons of mass destruction', a complete fiction. I didn't bother to check what they did to start the war in Afghanistan, but you know how that went, and how it was, ultimately pointless.
So, it wouldn't surprise me if Netanyahu allowed 1,400 Israelis to die so he could once more both become popular and also free up lots more land for Israeli settlers.
Keep an eye out for this one, it will be used to distract you, too.

If you know that you can never know everything, you have already learned the most important thing. Initially, the first half of the first episode starts like a teeny high school drama. You have to sit through it if you don't want to see something like that, because in the end it's all about the big world conspiracy.
The ethical questions that are addressed include:
1) Can poor people be abused as experimental subjects?
2) If you can only upload a brain to the cloud by destroying it, should you do so anyway?
3) What rights does a human #consciousness have in the cloud that can simply be reset or switched off?
4) If an AI escapes from a protected cloud to the internet, what should you do?
5) Can you copy a human consciousness, dissect it and then ultimately only use the parts you need to solve the problem?
6) Can consciousness in the cloud still be considered human?
7) Should we do everything that is technologically possible or should we be aware of the ethical problems before doing so?
8) ...
I find the series highly topical because ultimately the tech billionaires in #SiliconValley are dreaming of this opportunity and are researching it in order to become immortal. Elon #Musk's company #Neuralink is working on #brain implants that will make it possible to upload in the #future.
