A Look at a Slice of Frank Zappa's Life; Discussion with Moon Zappa

Perfectly in sync with the #psych #Music #biography #perspective such as seen with "Glimpses", and various memoirs and articles/interviews about the 'real-deal' of relationships and #context for some big celebrities - like #Dylan and #Band, as well as #BrianWilson and family, and some other well-known performers.

This one is very 'easy-listening', a spotlight (vicariously) on the life of #FrankZappa and #MoonZappa, in the aftermath of a 40-year anniversary of Frank's only commercial "radio song". So for teen-agers, he was upstaged by his 14-yr-old daughter! Her reflections:

If you’ve heard of the KLF, you probably know them as a band that burnt a million pounds. But that is only the conclusion to their story. The journey that led them to the Isle of Jura on that fateful August morning in 1994 is even more fascinating.

A journey that includes getting sued by ABBA, gaining a number one single in the guise of a talking car, pioneering at least one genre of dance music and becoming one of the most successful singles bands of the early 90s. They were two men compelled by the forces of chaos to spread as much confusion as possible and they transformed that into a pop career. This is New British Canon and this is the Story of The KLF.

Smokie - Living Next Door to Alice (Official Video)

The song is about a man's long-standing unrequited and unadmitted love toward Alice, his next door neighbour of 24 years. The protagonist learned through mutual friend Sally that Alice is moving away, and begins to reflect on childhood memories and his friendship with Alice, and becomes heartbroken as he sees Alice drive away in a limousine. In the final verse, Sally reveals that all the time she has been waiting 24 years for her opportunity with him ("Alice is gone, but I'm still here").
Later versions of the song insert an interjection during a pause in the chorus (from the audience during live performances or from a guest separate from the lead singer): "Alice! Who the fuck is Alice?" (guests will sometimes say "hell" or "heck"). These performances may also change a line in the chorus so that the singer's affections are as much sexual as they are romantic, and that the singer had hoped to "get inside her pants" instead of "get a second glance."

Brand bei Abbruch

Ausgebrannte Autos

In der Nacht vom 17.12.22 zum 18.12.22 wurden bei unseren Freunden aus der Band Abbruch nachts mehrere Feuer gelegt. Es brannten drei Fahrzeuge komplett aus und weitere wurden durch die enorme Hitze und die Flammen beschädigt. Am tragischsten jedoch ist der Verlust eines Bauwagens und Kinderspielplatz. Glücklicherweise war der Bauwagen zum Zeitpunkt des Anschlags nicht belegt und kein Mensch kam zu schaden, dennoch ist ein sehr hoher materieller Schaden zu verzeichnen.

Falls ihr sie finanziell unterstützen wollt um die Schäden zu beseitigen und den Platz wieder aufzubauen, freuen Sie sich sehr über Spenden!
