Transition 2023 - 2024
Pour le nouvel an 2024 j'ai pris quelques jours de vacances à Strasbourg, ma ville natale. J’y étais déjà revenu pour une petite période en 2014 et les métamorphoses de la ville en décalage avec les souvenirs que j’en avais me troublaient déjà. Pour les Fêtes, mon frère m'a offert un vinyle de Kelela. Pendant toute la durée du séjour, j’avais Washed Away et Far Away en tête, ce qui n’a pas manqué d’accentuer le sentiment d’irréalité du séjour.
Ongoing Cycle
Dans les exégèses de Philip K. Dick que l’on peut trouver, il est souvent dit que l’auteur avait une obsession pour un certain type de femme. Une figure que l'on retrouve constamment dans son œuvre et qui serait en fait le fantôme de sa sœur jumelle morte très peu de temps après leur naissance. Mais cette figure n'apparait pas que dans ses romans, elle apparait aussi dans sa vie intime, où l'auteur projette sur les femmes qu'il a aimées ce qui pourrait bien être devenu son anima.
20 ans plus tôt, enfant, me serais-je douté que je reviendrais dans le quartier où tout a commencé en compagnie de cette femme ? Prophétie auto-réalisatrice ou bien précognition ?
The Place Left To The Dreams
Le quartier de mon enfance est le berceau d'une activité psychique et imaginaire intense. Pas tant parce que je rentrais tout doucement dans l'adolescence que parce que c'est ici que mon frère, ma sœur et moi-même avons fait nos premières expériences sociales. Ça n'est donc pas si étonnant que ce soit dans cet endroit que le plus souvent nos rêves nous ramènent. Nous rêvons tous les trois de cet endroit et d'aucun autre avant ou après celui-ci. Notre imaginaire et nos personnalités ont en grande partie été façonnés aux portes du soleil.
Mais c'était il y a longtemps, et tous les trois avons passé plus de temps dans nos vies à rêver de cet endroit qu'à y avoir vécu, de sorte que lorsque nous y retournons, plus rien ne nous semble réel. C'est comme si le rêve, dans toute son étrangeté, s'emparait physiquement de nos sens. L'écho des souvenirs est assourdissant. Il n’y a que dans mes rêves que le grand bâtiment futuriste existe. Et pourtant, cette année, il était physiquement là. Il a remplacé le foyer insalubre où, enfant, j'allais me faire me couper les cheveux. Un endroit qui n'appartient plus aux rêves ni à la réalité.

8pm again. Stormy mild air, too many thoughts under wide skies, and an unkind headache clutching around the brain.(Keeping eyes closed under the weather for a few moments. Listening to what's invisible by now. Trying to not try much more today. The challenges of being unproductive way early in night.)

BUILDINGS FOR CARS
In back of the building where live there is an entire block of a massive building for parking cars. Giant fans blow out vehicle exhaust fumes out into the air. There are many loud motors - always running, everywhere.
There are also many gigantic vehicle parking places underground, underneath tall buildings.
Early dusk. Sun in dense clouds, just enough light to not only see but somehow feel it. // 366skies

Past noon. Out and in, moving on, lost track of time but only a bit. Stories of plans and actual achievements of things to be done today and things that probably will be left open. But at least wiping dirt off some windows, as if to strip the world of some of its grey. And even taking a glimpse of a cautious sun in veiled skies.
Irgendwann geht auch an diesem Tag die Sonne wieder unter. Gerade noch schafften es einige Strahlen über die Giebel, bevor die Höfe wieder in Düsternis eintauchen. Musik von fernen Balkonen. Immer noch gibt es einige Häuser, die ihre alte, bröckelnde Erscheinung der letzten Jahrzehnte bewahrt haben. Viel Charakter der Nachbarschaft gehörte ihnen, und es werden weniger zwischen neuem Stahl und Glas. Nicht, dass dies an einem Sonntagabend anders wäre. Aber es ist wahrnehmbarer im Licht dieser Stunden.

Le complexe lacustre d'El Kala est l'une des plus importantes zones humides d'Algérie et du bassin méditerranéen. Il est situé dans la région d'El Tarf, à l'extrême nord-est de l'Algérie. Ce complexe lacustre est composé de plusieurs lacs et étendues d'eau, dont les principaux sont le lac Mellah, le lac Oubeïra, le lac Tonga et le lac Fedj El Kef. L'ensemble de ces lacs forme un écosystème lacustre riche en biodiversité et abrite de nombreuses espèces animales et végétales.
En raison de son importance écologique, le complexe lacustre d'El Kala a été classé comme parc national en 1983 et a été inscrit sur la liste des sites Ramsar en 1990. Les sites Ramsar sont des zones humides d'importance internationale reconnues pour leur valeur en tant qu'habitats d'oiseaux d'eau migrateurs et nicheurs, ainsi que pour leur rôle dans la conservation de la biodiversité et la fourniture de services écosystémiques.

Listening to the last of todays untold stories, inventing endings that haven't been thought of before. A winter night dreaming of bats and bright moons, with frozen darkness as an enduring companion in everything.

Irgendwo anders, nach der Dämmerung, in einer anderen Ecke. Auf dem Verteilerkästchen an der Kreuzung schweigen sich zwei leere Schnapsflaschen an. Schornsteine entlassen weißen Dampf in die frühe Nacht, künstliche Wolken, die sich auftürmen und über den kalten Himmel ziehen und endlich dem Horizont der Dächer näherkommen. Im Halbschatten liegt ein Stapel alter Weihnachtsbäume vor einem übervollen Container, und man hält respektvollen Abstand, weil sich an einem Ast ganz sicher noch ein verlassen blinkender Stern, eine übersehene Kugel findet und der Anblick jedes Mal erneut nahegeht. Kirchglocken hinter anderem Fluss. Weiter auf dem Weg. Die Hände frieren.

7pm and on. Slowly adjusting to regular speed. Late fireworks across the river, and heaps of burnt-down trash piling up near the bus stop. First contacts of the year, ephemeral conversations, wishing each other well. Still not completely here again.
