Ukraine sends #Palestine 1,000 tons of flour in first tranche of food aid

The delivery was the first tranche of three food aid packages to be sent under a humanitarian program entitled "Grain from #Ukraine."

The first package will be enough to feed more than 100,000 Palestinian families for a month, the foreign ministry said.

#Hunger has become a persistent problem in #Gaza against the backdrop of the ongoing incursion by the #Israeli Defense Forces (IDF).

At approximately 10.30am on a scorching Monday, a group of five young Israeli #settlers arrived at the Tarqumiya #checkpoint, west of Hebron in the West Bank, where dozens of aid trucks bound for Gaza were expected.

The settlers had received detailed information about the timing, location, and number of trucks that would pass through the checkpoint that morning. What they had not anticipated was that dozens of peace activists had also gathered in Tarqumiya with a specific mission: to prevent the settlers from blocking the vehicles and ensure that the aid continued its journey to Gaza.

Why isn't this the front page of papers world wide?

Imagine being so evil that you block food and medicine to enter a city with 2 million inhabitants.

How can anyone be this evil?

And of course, not a single IDF soldier is there to stop them or disrupt their criminal actions.

In the mean time, 100s of fully loaded trucks from UAE/Saudi enter Israel without inspections or hindee to help feeding Israelis and bypass the #blockade by #Houtis in #Yemen.
This is government sponsored Genocide. Nothing less.

Russia hits third humanitarian aid base in Kherson in 5 days

Russian forces struck a third humanitarian aid center in #Kherson within five days, the head of the emergency response unit for the Ukrainian #RedCross in Kherson Oblast Mykola Taranenko said in a comment to Hromadske radio on Dec. 25.

Taranenko also referenced the overnight Russian strike on Dec. 20, which "completely destoryed" the humanitarian aid facility ran by the Ukrainian Red Cross in Kherson Oblast and its resources inside.

"They [Russian forces] targeted the storage facilities of other organizations twice, but very recently they hit our humanitarian aid facility, the Red Cross facility," said Taranenko.

Russia blocks UN aid for Kakhovka dam collapse victims

Moscow has rejected United Nationsā€™ offers to help people in Russian-occupied areas affected by flooding from the collapsed Nova Kakhovka Dam.

The floods destroyed homes and farmland, forced the evacuation of thousands, contaminated supplies of drinking water and sparked fears of environmental disaster.

The UN urged Russia to act in accordance with its obligations under international humanitarian law.

ā€œThe UN will continue to do all it can to reach all people ā€“ including those suffering as a result of the recent dam destruction ā€“ who urgently need life-saving assistance, no matter where they are,ā€ Denise Brown, UN humanitarian coordinator for Ukraine, said in a statement on Sunday.

ā€œAid cannot be denied to people who need it.ā€

The death toll from the disaster has risen to 52, with Russian officials saying 35 people had died in areas under its control and Ukraineā€™s interior ministry saying 17 had died and 31 were missing. More than 11,000 people have been evacuated on both sides.

Russian forces "completely" destroyed a Red Cross warehouse in Odesa during a missile strike, the humanitarian aid organization reported on May 8.

According to the Red Cross, its employees and volunteers were not present at the time of the missile strike.

However, humanitarian aid was destroyed.
