The Israel-UAE land corridor depends on naval traffic sailing through the Persian Gulf

Israel has been using this route, which runs from the UAE through Saudi Arabia and Jordan to Israel, as a way to circumvent the Red Sea blockade in its trade with the Asian continent.

If Iran systematically cuts off Israeli-linked shipping originating in Emirati ports, Israel will effectively be shut off from any trade with Asia and would have to import everything through its Mediterranean Sea ports of Haifa & Ashdod.

If Iran or Hezbollah then decides to strike these two ports, Israel will be completely cut off from the global trade network. This would have massive repercussions on its economy, which is heavily dependent on foreign trade.

Why isn't this the front page of papers world wide?

Imagine being so evil that you block food and medicine to enter a city with 2 million inhabitants.

How can anyone be this evil?

And of course, not a single IDF soldier is there to stop them or disrupt their criminal actions.

In the mean time, 100s of fully loaded trucks from UAE/Saudi enter Israel without inspections or hindee to help feeding Israelis and bypass the #blockade by #Houtis in #Yemen.
This is government sponsored Genocide. Nothing less.

Polish farmers will join the #blockade of the border with #Ukraine.

🔹 #Farmers are in solidarity with the transport workers, but also put forward their own demands. They are protesting against the influx of cheap food from Ukraine.

Only service vehicles, cars, vehicles with humanitarian aid and buses will be allowed through the border village of Medyka.

🔹Slovak drivers have started blocking truck traffic on the border with Ukraine.

On Slovak territory, about 300 trucks are queuing in front of the Vishne-Nemecke border crossing point in the direction of Ukraine.

🔹 Almost three thousand trucks are blocked at the border with #Poland.

#Kiev hopes to solve the problem at the border through the European Commission and counts on the launch of European "crisis prevention mechanisms".

Ukrainian businesses have reportedly lost more than $8m after the blocking of the Polish-Ukrainian border.

More than 2 million Palestinian people have now been without running water, electricity, food, medicine, for 10 days.

After instituting the #blockade of #Gaza, #Israel dropped 4,000 tons of #bombs on Gaza in a 5 day period (Oct 7 – 12). Nine more days have passed with continued heavy bombing; if continued at the same rate, Israel has dropped more than 10,000 tons of bombs – 2 million pounds of high-explosive — on the people of Gaza.

Israel told 1.1 million Palestinians that they had 24 hours to leave northern Gaza or else be bombed. The JDAM bombs being dropped on Gaza were supplied to Israel by the US. Many thousands have been killed since the bombing began. 52% of the Palestinians in Gaza are under 18 years of age; a huge percentage of those Palestinians being killed and wounded are children.

This is blatant #ethnic #cleansing and it is receiving the full support of the United States. In the UN Security Council, the US has twice vetoed Resolutions calling for a ceasefire in Gaza; the vote on the second attempt was 14 to 1, with the US being the only no vote with their veto. The US does not want a ceasefire, it wants war, and thus has sent Carrier Battle Groups, squadrons of A-10 Warthogs, and thousands of Marines in preparation to back up an Israeli ground assault into Gaza.

The US is now complicit in the massive war crime being committed in Gaza by Israel. All the endless US speeches about freedom and democracy ring hollow in the face of this atrocity. And these crimes are likely to get much worse once Israel sends hundreds of thousands of troops into Gaza.

Netanyahu is finished": Seymour Hersh wrote an article about how Israel will not storm the Gaza Strip, but will begin to suffocate it in a #blockade "like the #Germans in #Leningrad".

"It is unlikely that Israel's armed forces, after years of performing "security" duties in the West Bank, will be able to withstand heavy fighting in the dense urbanisation of Gaza's two million inhabitants.

As for a ground assault, an insider tells me that a brutal alternative is being considered. It could be described as the "Leningrad approach", referring to the attempts by the Germans during the Second World War to starve the city now known as St Petersburg.

The option under consideration, an Israeli insider told me, is to continue to isolate #Gaza City in terms of electricity, food and other essentials.

#Gaza's ruling #Hamas has two to three days' supply of purified drinking water and is already facing food shortages. At some point, Israel may negotiate the release of some prisoners - women and children - in exchange for food and water.

According to the source, a veteran of Israeli security, #Netanyahu will have to go once the conflict with Hamas is over. Netanyahu is finished. He is a dead man walking. He will stay in his post until the shooting stops, maybe for another month or two".
