Seems my #Laptop Power Management settings in #XFCE in #Debian 12 are not really taken into account, it looks like it is running (power LED is on) but it does not continue with uploads to Nextcloud for example. I am not sure how to figure out if that is only a #Nextcloud issue.
I could run a cronjob every 5 minutes that writes the output of 'date' to some file by >>, that would then have a gap if the computer goes into sleep, right?
My thoughts on framework after daily driving it for 2 years
Louis Rossmann talks a bit about daily driving his FrameWork laptop since 2 years.
He has some more or less valid nitpicks here and there, some which might actually be fixed in newer mainboard versions or maybe not. ;)
But overall .... he likes it ... and for very good reasons still..
(Nonetheless, i hoped for the bigger 16" version which is available soon. ;))

MacBook met Linux
Diverse software op mijn MacBook Pro mid 2010 (High Sierra) krijgt geen updates meer. Nog niet meteen een probleem, maar om bij te blijven nu Xubuntu 22.04 op de MacBook gezet. Werkt prima.
Wel wennen aan andere toetsaanslagen, want Linux houdt blijkbaar geen rekening met het iets afwijkende toetsenbord van een MacBook.

Der #Windows 10 Firmen #Laptop erlaubt mir jetzt mich mit PIN oder Passwort anzumelden. Also hab ich den PIN jetzt einfach genau wie das Passwort eingestellt, weil ich nen kurzen nummerischen PIN aus mehreren Gründen nicht will. Hauptgrund ist, ich will mir nicht noch nen PIN zusätzlich zum Passwort merken.
Kein PIN und nur Passwort war keine Option, auch wurde ich gezwungen mindestens einen Fingerabdruck zu hinterlegen.
