They’ve extended our storm til this evening and it’s heavy, wet snow. The trees are bent under it and a few look like they could snap under the weight.
Still and all, I’d take it over the tornado destruction in Mississippi.

More devastating snow in many parts of Iran!
As Europe is enjoying a mild winter, part of west and central asia is being hammered by extreme weather, temperatures way bellow -20 degr. C, heavy rain causing floods and in some causes over 2m of snow isolating cities and villages.
The city of Khoi, in north west of Iran that was hit by a devastating earth quake late January causing some 12000 homes to collapse or uninhabitable is facing extreme cold and the government don't seem to be able or willing to send much help to them. heart breaking images of families cramped in small tents around coarseness heaters have shaken up the country.

More #snowplow pix for @clarice oncemore. You probably have graders there in Australia for road levelling work. Here we also use them as snowplows! This one carefully graded the snow off the street and then dumped in my driveway.

So our #snowstorm here in #Ottawa is going well this morning, with about 12 cm (4.7 in) of #snow so far. A total of 20 cm (8 in) now forecast.
Into the snow-covered park... away from the salt, slush and snow plows to a more quiet and natural place, the park...
Dogs and sledders are having a particularly good time. All bundled up as an Arctic wind howled onshore from the river.
And today... wearing a good fitting mask was a joy! (Only my finger tips froze.)

Of course every place is different. But in NYC/Manhattan today was a messy place on the streets, lots of plows and snow being moved around (as it is still wet and not overnight-frozen as it will be at around 0 degrees (F) or lower wind-chill. Brrrr....
So, with snow on the ground and cold Arctic winds, we need to bundle up to visit a park on this weekend wonderland day...
Get the boots on, but if you're a labradoodle, be sure to bark, "Don't step on my blue knit shoes".
