because Win 10 compared to Win 7 is incredibly slow, a way to upgrade an older ASUS Mainboard was found
- RAM was increased from 8 GB to 32 GB
- it actually had an M.2 slot for the MZ-V8P500BW NVMe SSD (it is a NVMe but not directly PCIe attached but speaks to mainboard via SATA (SSD))
while not close to the theoreticall possible speeds of:
Read: 6,900 MB/s
Write: 5,000 MB/s
(src: do they mean Bits or Bytes here?)
imho those are impressive harddisk speeds, well done Samsung 🙂
the user can try finding that NVMe SSD on ebay
when it comes to harddisk benchmarks, ATTO is probably “better” than CrystalDiskMark as Crystal seems to actually meassure RAM-cached-harddisk-speeds?

parallel to my MX Linux 19.4 I am running Win10... yesterday I upgraded to Windows 11... a lot of good things are missing, I prefer win10
how to fix stuck permanent function (Fn) key BIOS / Firmware updates: but why? if everything works, vendors often say "leave it like that" because updates can have unforseen sideeffects and not all computers are "exactly" the same X-D (a bit here[...]

Problème avec gestionnaire de mot de passe Revelation après mise à jour de Ubuntu LTS 18.04 vers 20.04: j'ai fait cette mise à jour chez ma compagne, et sous 20.04, le gestionnaire de mot de passe Revelation n'existe plus !! Tous les mots de passe inaccessibles, et même pas un message d'alerte ! Il n'est plus dans les paquets, galère. J'ai réussi à installer une nouvelle version de Revelation sous forme d'un flatpack, j'ai donc de nouveau accès, ouf. Mais par contre, l'export des mdp, pour passer à Keepass XC, se fait sous forme d'un fichier xml compliqué, que Keepass ne peut pas importer ! Je ne trouve pas comment le convertir !!
Est-ce que l'un de vous a eu ce problème ? Une solution ? Franchement, quelle galère, c'est la première fois que j'ai ça avec Ubuntu, mais c'est gratiné !
