Sicherheitsupdates aus dem März Update für Windows Server mit Active Directories können das System lahmlegen, sagt Microsoft. Das betrifft vor allem Unternehmen, die das Active Directory nutzen. Private Windows User sind in der Regel von dem Fehler nicht betroffen.
Wenn der Fehler auftritt, so kommt es zu Performanceeinbußen und in einigen Fällen bleibt der Server stehen und startet dann neu. Ursache dafür soll der Local Security Authority Subsystem Service (LSASS) sein, der Speicherlecks auf den Domain-Controllern (DCs) haben kann. Ein Hinweis dafür ist, dass der On-Premise- oder Cloud-basierte Active Directory Domain Controller vermehrt Kerberos-Authentifizierungsanfragen verschickt.
Microsoft erklärt dazu, dass die Ursache erkannt ist und an einer Lösung gearbeitet wird, die in den nächsten Tagen verteilt werden soll. Heise.de berichtete, dass Microsoft bereits im Januar Probleme mit den Windows-Updates zum Patchday hatte. Damals ließen sie sich mit der Meldung eines Fehlercodes, 0x80070643, nicht installieren.

Canalys estimates that in the nearly two-year period until #Microsoft’s official end-of-support date for Windows 10 – 14 October 2025 – roughly a fifth of devices will become e-waste due to incompatibility with the Windows 11 OS. This equates to 240 million PCs. If these were all folded laptops, stacked one on top of another, they would make a pile 600km taller than the moon.

Keeping pace with YouTube will likely become even more challenging next year, when Google’s #Chrome browser adopts the Manifest V3 standard, which significantly limits what #extensions are allowed to do. #Modras said that under Manifest V3, whenever an ad blocker wants to update its blocklist — again, something they may need to do multiple times a day — it will have to release a full #update and undergo a review “which can take anywhere between [a] few hours to even a few weeks.”
“Through #Manifest #V3, #Google will close the door for innovation in the ad #blocking landscape and introduce another layer of #gatekeeping that will slow down how #ad #blockers can react to new #ads and #online #tracking methods,” he said.
Anyone who knows #Firefox and still uses Chrome out of conviction is beyond help.
