According to Iranian sources, one of the "bandits" was killed and 2 other were captured after reinforcement were sent to the border.

Once again dust storms are suffocating people in many parts of Iran and the worst is (once again) happens in Baluchestan province where thousands of people have fallen I'll with respiratory problems.

Dust storms are not usual in some parts of Iran. But the repeated storms, their length and coverage is the results of increasing temperature that slowly killing people unable to defend themselves against the invisible enemy.

This is not mad max or the dune you can watch and go home, this is the life of millions across the globe who fall victim to something they didn't have created.

Nika and Nima, 2 black bear cubs who were caught by the police from the smugglers at the border of Iran with Pakistan, were moving to a care facility in Tehran.

The 2 cubs are healthy and the intial dehydration and malnutrition signs are all gone after a few days at the care of the staff of the wild life services in Baluchestan province of the country.

The 2 cubs will be taken care of until they can be released in one of the protected national parks.

Yesterday, a police station in Baluchestan province of Iran was attacked by a group of armed fighters

In early reports the government media talked about a suicide bomber blowing up the port of the police station before they attacked the police inside, but later they corrected it to say that they use large bombs and grenades to attack the station.

In the process, one police man was killed immediately and another died of injuries he received during the gun fight that followed.

2 of the attackers were also killed and other 2 were chased and cornered in a private home during the follow up of the attack. And they were lost their lives in the gun battle that followed.

This is the most severe attack by the armed groups in Baluchestan province in recent months. And will definitely causeea major crack down by the regime against the peaceful demonstrators and Sunni clerics critical of the regime.

Iran haa ordered all border stations with Afghanistan to be evacuated and the troops to take defensive positions.

The head of Iranian border guards in Zahedan, Baluchestan region gave the order to prevent any more casualties in case of any new attacks from the Taliban.

In other news, the number of deaths during yesterday's fightings were 2 dead Iranian border guards and one Taliban fighter.

According to reports from both sides, Iranian drones patrol the Air between the 2 countries and at least one Afghan outpost was targeted by Iranian artillery but no casualties were reported.

Iranian defense. Ministry has not made an official reaction to the clashes and letting the local guards and paramilitary to handle the conflict.

Latest news and clarifications about the military conflict between IRI and Taliban in the eastern regions of Iran.

1 -the conflicts are limited to Iran's Sistan and #Baluchestan province and Afghanistan's #Nimrooz province.

2 - during the fights, both sides used riffles and 50 caliber machine gus, as well as grenades and small artilleries.

3 - Iran didn't use any missiles and reports on so isl media is not true. The reports about Iranian targeting Afghan #Zaranj #airport is also not true and the conflict has been limited to the border regions.

4 - there are discussions going between the 2 embassies and governments in #Kabul and #Tehran. The fighting ended just a few hours ago and both sides focusing on de-escalating the situation.

Iranian sources reporting that at least 5 border guards were "martyred" during the fighting with the "bandits" who attacked an Iranian border tower close to Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Ab Iranian reconesance drone team has been sent to Zahedsn in Baluchestan region of the country to support police, Border guards and IRGC troops in the region.

There are also reports of gun fight and artillery attacks from both sides.

Taliban spokesperson for the western province posted a provocative message on Twitter saying "the soldiers of Islamic Emirat and mujahedin of various groups inside Iran are waiting for the signal from zkabul to take over Iran in 24h".

Ayatollah Abbas Ali Soleimani, one of the 6 clearics appointed by Khamenei into the Assembly of experts (Majles-e Khibregan), he was shot dead in northern city of Babolsar today.

Soleimani had served as the personal representative of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to the province of Sistan and Baluchestan earlier.

Confusion persisted hours after the attack. State TV initially reported that Soleimani was at the bank when another man seized a guard’s firearm and began shooting over a personal dispute with an employee.

State TV later reported that the guard was the one who opened fire and killed the cleric. The Interior Ministry arrested the attacker and launched a special investigation into the murder, whose motive remains unclear.

Soleimani was a member of the Assembly of Experts, an 88-seat panel that oversees and appoints Iran’s supreme leader. He also was the imam who led the weekly Friday prayers in the #Kashan and #Zahedan cities.

The 75-year-old cleric had served as the personal representative of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali #Khamenei to the province of #Sistan and #Baluchestan, which shares a border with #Pakistan and #Afghanistan and has a majority #Sunni population.

Extremist groups against #Tehran’s Shiite government operate there, along with gangs dedicated to smuggling and drug trafficking activities.

In April 2022, a suspected Sunni extremist stabbed to death two Shiite clerics and injured another in #Mashhad city on the influence of the #takfiri, a term used for Muslims who brand others as apostates and condemn them to death.

Rare snow fall in southern city of #Zahedan in #Baluchestan province of Iran!

Zahedan is close to Pakistan border and snow is rather unusual seen in that region.

But the whole country is suffering from one of the worst winters in modern history with temperatures way bellow -20°C in Kurdish and Azeri cities of Iran.

The massive shortfall of fuel and LPG as well as natural gas has made this winter specially hard on many low income families across Iran.
