The U.S. has intelligence indicating senior Iranian officials were surprised by the Hamas-led terror attack on Israel, according to multiple American officials familiar with the matter, preliminarily suggesting Tehran was not directly involved the launch of the deadly Oct. 7 assault.
While analysis and collection are continuing and additional information may arise to contradict the initial assessments, officials briefed on the intelligence say key Iranian officials who would normally be aware of operations in the region appeared to be unaware the attacks were taking place.
Officials declined to elaborate on the identities of the Iranian officials or on the nature of the intelligence that had been collected. U.S. lawmakers were briefed in a classified setting by multiple agencies on the situation in Israel and Iran's potential involvement on Wednesday morning. Senior U.S. intelligence official Morgan Muir also briefed a smaller group Tuesday. The New York Times first reported that the U.S. has intelligence that the assault by Hamas took senior Iranian officials by surprise.

There was an attack against the home of some of the senior members of Iranian People's Mujahedin, MKO of cult of Rajavi in Paris last week.
I didn't read much on French or international news, but the attack has the clear footprints of IRGC #Quds force, the main target was a senior member of MKO Masoud Keshmiri who was named as the personal behind the bombing in Tehran back in the summer of 1981 that killed the President Rajaii and Prime Minister #Bahonar.
The attack was always a source of questionable circumstances and many people believed that it was the work of #Rafsanjani and and #Khamenei together with Ali #Rezai the head of IRGC back then who were involved in the #McFarlane trip to #Iran before the US election of 1980 that resulted in a deal between #US government (actually #Republicans and #Reagan) and IRI regime to delay the release of the hostages who were planned to be released in early fall of 1980 in exchange for badly needed spare parts for Iranian #F-14 #TomCat fighter jets and the code to unlock the air to air missiles #Phoenix that #Shah of Iran had purchased before the àrevolution and IRI could not use them because of inability to break the code.
Rejaii was one of the deeply religious hardcore revolutionary who was badly tortured before the revolution in #Evin àprison and a man of principals who was 100% against the deal specially after he found out that most of the parts and àweapons delivered to Iran were actually came from an unmarked ship fromFrenxh port of #Marseille but it made a stop in Israeli port of #Haifa to load the weapons.
2 days before his death, #Rejaii made a famous speech that condemned those "naive individuals in the country who believed they could purchase weapons from an arh enemy of the nation in order to fight the little insignificant devil #Saddam that Iran could easily deal with".
The deal hlgave Reagan the landslide wicrory over #Carter who Khomeini hated more than anyone because he brokered a peace deal between #Israel and #Egypt and he, in his typical short sighted stupidity believed Reagan would be a friend of Iran in it's fight against the " pro #Soviet #Saddam".
The rest is history and we all know the sad and pathetic stupidity of #Khomeini and his closest inner circle gave the world a monster that setup the foundation to the shitty world we live in.
But for the stupid and ignorant followers of Khomeini, who never admitted that it was Israeli weapons and spare parts that turned the war around and let Iran almost destroy the entire Iraqi air force in series of attacks including one that goes to history as one of the longest direct hit of a French Mirage 1 (one of 3 that French government has lent to Saddam) from 150km distance using one of the $2.5M phoenix missiles, the blame was on MKO and not the evil Trio of IRI inner mafia.
So the last week's assassination brought "closer" to a 42 years old revenge against the puppet in the game of much more evil forces inside and outside IRI regime.

Ayatollah Abbas Ali Soleimani, one of the 6 clearics appointed by Khamenei into the Assembly of experts (Majles-e Khibregan), he was shot dead in northern city of Babolsar today.
Soleimani had served as the personal representative of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to the province of Sistan and Baluchestan earlier.
Confusion persisted hours after the attack. State TV initially reported that Soleimani was at the bank when another man seized a guard’s firearm and began shooting over a personal dispute with an employee.
State TV later reported that the guard was the one who opened fire and killed the cleric. The Interior Ministry arrested the attacker and launched a special investigation into the murder, whose motive remains unclear.
Soleimani was a member of the Assembly of Experts, an 88-seat panel that oversees and appoints Iran’s supreme leader. He also was the imam who led the weekly Friday prayers in the #Kashan and #Zahedan cities.
The 75-year-old cleric had served as the personal representative of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali #Khamenei to the province of #Sistan and #Baluchestan, which shares a border with #Pakistan and #Afghanistan and has a majority #Sunni population.
Extremist groups against #Tehran’s Shiite government operate there, along with gangs dedicated to smuggling and drug trafficking activities.
In April 2022, a suspected Sunni extremist stabbed to death two Shiite clerics and injured another in #Mashhad city on the influence of the #takfiri, a term used for Muslims who brand others as apostates and condemn them to death.
Sepide Qoliyan, a defiant Iranian activist last seen chanting "Khamenei the tyrant" slogans shortly after her release from a prison in #Tehran, has been arrested again, according to media reports.

Manijhe Arabshahi and Yasamin Ariyaii the mother and daughter who were caught 2 years ago by IRI security forces after they were giving flower to people in a metro station, wee released yesterday.
Their crime of "spreading falsehood and creating an asmophere of corruption and prostitution" had given them 10 years sentence and their crime of "gathering and attempting to disrupt national security" added an extra 5 years sebtencr. Plus an extra year for the crime of "propaganda against the regime".
No report if they were part of the latest amnesty given by Khamenei or this is a temporary release.

JaneGoudal has asked Khamenei to release the group of environmentalists who are awaiting a trial in ziran.
In a letter to Iran's supreme leader, she asked him to show merci and extend the anmesty given to many prisoners to include the group who's actions exposed the corruption and criminal organization inside the government agencies responsible for taking care of the environment.

Iran protests: Protesters among prisoners pardoned by leader
Iran's supreme leader has pardoned "tens of thousands" of prisoners, including many linked to anti-government protests.
State media reports the pardons by Ayatollah Ali #Khamenei came with conditions.
The pardons come on the eve of the #anniversary of the Islamic #revolution in 1979.
#Iran's state media says Ayatollah Khamenei's latest pardons came after a letter from the head of the judiciary framed many of those detained as young people who'd been led astray by foreign influence and propaganda.
The letter claims that a number of protesters had expressed regret and asked for #forgiveness.
But those charged with more serious offences - such as spying for foreign agents, murder or destruction of state property - will not be pardoned.
The measure will also not extend to any dual nationals currently being detained.
Under Article 110 of the Iranian constitution, the country's supreme leader has the authority to issue pardons at the recommendation of the judiciary.
Sources in Iran say that the high court of #IRI judiciary has approved the death penalty for 2 more people in the group accused of participation in the stabbing of #Basij member in late September 2021.
They were transferred to #RajaiShahr prison in #Karaj.

Despise the clear violation of IRI's #Sharia law that denies the "ghesas" (execution) to be used when more than one person was involved in the alleged crime and despise request from family of the victim, the Islamic high court refered to the case as an act of rebellion against the rule of "god" and denied all other requests because the crime was comited as a direct rebellion against forces of regime and that all those involved had "intention" to kill.
Something that many scholars inside the regime are opposing, but #Reisi, with the backing of hard line #IRGC leadership and #Khamenei himself is forcing these executions to "teach others a lesson". None of the accused were given the right to impartial review of their case, nor had access to a lawyer during the short and unjst court session where they were interviewd on TV to confes to their "crime" after long and brutal torture in prison.

I am so sick of these "celebrity" "Iranians" spreading BS stories about protesters in Iran and when their lies are exposed, still don't give it up and repeat the nonsense and receive 1000s of likes and tap on shoulder for "saving the lives of protesters".
In the mean time, real cases go unnoticed, or won't get the needed attention and those who's lives ARE in real danger, end up losing their lives and become yet another tool for these morons to use for their disgusting push for a military conflict between US and Iran.

Head of #IRI army voiced his unity and support with #IRGC and Basij and warned "The youth will receive the punishment for their actions when time comes".
This silences the roumers that the stupid Iranian diaspora in #UK and #US been spreading about the army refusal to stand behind the regime and saying that their job is to safeguard the nations borders not to kill it's own citizens they sworn to protect.
That doesn't mean that the low ranking officers and soldiers (mostly drafter) will follow the orders if #Khamenei decides to call in thd army to crush the ever growing uprising that is now openly challenging the authority of the police and IRGC and confronting #Basij by attacking them and in several cases even killing them.
Without a real opposition, without a united front among wide range of groups and without clear plans how to fight the regime, the risk for a wide spread civil war is spreading almost daily.
I'm really afraid of the outcome of this uprising, not because I believe the regime has any legitimacy, but the danger of chaos that will follow if the regime falls (which is highly unlikely, at least in short term and without major escalation of the conflict between Sepah and public).

Without #KSA's and #UAE's help Israel can not bomb #Iran using #F35s. With Iranian fighter jets located on #Hamedan and #Dezful, they will be able to intercept the Israeli fighter jets on their way out of Iran after the first bomb has exploded.
Even with the #stealth technology of F35s, it has to burn a massive amount of fuel to be able to leave Iranian airspace, which means in those minutes after the bombings, they will be highly vulnerable unless they can land/refuel over UAE or KSA's airspace, alternative landing there.
This mean both countries will be on the direct target list of Iran that will not hesitate to retaliate against the 2 countries and set the whole region on fire.
Iran's nuclear program is located on 17 different locations. Israel can not attack all of them, and an attack against the 2 main sites of #Natanz and #Fardow will just make #Khamenei to cancel his #Fatwa against #nuclear #bomb and resign from the #NPT and cut all ties with both the #UN and the #IAEA.
This is an absolute madness and an extremely dangerous and irresponsible act. Something that #Biden seems to have signed off and OKed with during his trip to the 2 countries. US bombing campaign in #Syria the other day, may be the starting step in the coming chain of action co-ordinated between US-Israel-KSA and UAE.
