I have a new interpretation of how "Rosebud" may become one's last words.... _in a good way (?)_
Pastry
OMG... Mm. One of each please, and... ack! Rosebud...
This may have killed me (softly) if I ate too much of this... but it sure is pretty! 📷
Oh, and zero calories as delivered online.
Finally I have made a little space in my computer after un-corrupting 20 yrs of data. 😱 So now I am finally seeing some photos from Europe, UK, and Florida on a big screen, having weeded out 20 years of digital videos, corrupt (MS!) databases, And -
I've been enjoying many wonderful photos from peoples' walks in cities and nature, and creativity at home with the option to leave ... 👍
Some sweets? So, I looked further, a few months earlier, at my pastries above, from basic pumpkin pie (holiday time) and a cannoli and key lime pie (with the proof) at 6:00. Holidays are over and it's New Year, one of my resolutions being to maintain some healthy aspects of my time in Vienna and UK - walking (not optional! but I do that in the city and swamp anyway), but more grain and fruit, and not so much fatty, (hydrogenated?!) cake and bread which many Americans enjoy. So... "Context and Perspective".
Pt. 2

#ViennesePastry - @ Gerstner's, Vienna
I will say, American cakes of the chocolate &/or frosted sort can looks nice and make you gasp - it uses a lot of butter and cream, and natural flavors (like Key Lime in Florida, where it's illegal to be 'woke'.) Mm, but as rich and creamy and delicious and soft as American cake may be, especially our "layer cake" - It is not as impressive or artful as pastries of Europe that I have seen &/or tasted - in Austria, France, NL, Italy mostly. But the cakes in the middle (top photo which was Florida) are delicious (I'm told), very rich in chocolate, or maybe orange . At 5:00 is a cannoli and verifiable key lime pie. And at 7:00, with the name "Rosebud" (covered, and a reference to "Citizen Cane" - its essence and end) is American standards, like basic pumpkin pie at holiday time. I had one of them and was full for... a while. Reformed now.
Since I took these photos, my New Year's effort has been: keeping some of my favorite healthy habits of Europe (e.g., muesli, oats, fruit, walking) while avoiding... #pastries
Happy Sunday Funday.

Crazy Bread is easy to make at home and much cheaper than running to your local Little Caesars pizza joint! But don’t worry, it’s still packed with all the goodness you know and expect!

The Swedish ”Semla”
With a bit of our weird history thrown in.
Semlor, The Dessert That Killed. A King (http://https://youtu.be/0Ljm5i5N6WQ)
It is sometimes called ”Fettisdagsbulle” ( Fat Tuesday Bun ) and when eaten with hot milk ”Hetvägg” ( Hot Wall ), but semla is the most usual name for it.
….also, we have a…. head choppy history.
