Diaspora is Easy to use but it Takes Time
Looking for a place to make a #blog that doesn't require payment or ads, and getting away from #Facebook, I found out about the #Fediverse. What a busy place! What a lot of platforms to choose from! It was all very confusing and you can't really tell any difference between some of the platforms. At least you can distinguish between #microblogging and #macroblogging, which I didn't know about before. I had no idea if I was supposed to choose only one or not, either.
I was about to either give up or just pick one at random when I found one article online that describes #Diaspora as the easiest for new people to learn and use, with a simple interface and not so loaded down with special features and shiny gadgets that most people probably don't even use. So I chose a Diaspora pod from a map and so far,
I love it!
It is easy to use and I've already made some friends even though I'm pretty #newhere. The user interface is nice and simple. This looks like a good place to make my first blog. I just wanted to say #thanks to all the people who make Diaspora and thanks to the people who run pods and make it possible for the rest of us.

Seltsame Tänze in den Tag und Nacht geöffneten Geldautomaten-Schaltern. Nichtgenehmigte Feuerwerkerei. Land-Art, als bizarre Artefakte in öffentliche Parks gestreute Erdarbeiten. Einbruch in Häuser, aber statt etwas zu stehlen, poetisch-terroristische Objekte hinterlassen. Jemanden entführen & glücklich machen.
Greift euch wahllos irgendwelche Leute & überzeugt sie, daß sie ein enormes, nutzloses & erstaunliches Vermögen geerbt haben - etwa 5000 Quadratmeilen der Antarktis oder einen greisen Zirkuselefanten oder ein Waisenhaus in Bombay oder eine Sammlung alchimistischer Manuskripte. Später werden sie feststellen, daß sie einen Moment lang an etwas Außerordentliches geglaubt haben & werden dadurch vielleicht bewegt, eine intensivere Existenzweise anzustreben.
Bringt Messingtafeln an öffentlichen oder privaten Orten an, an denen ihr eine Erleuchtung oder ein besonders erfüllendes sexuelles Erlebnis hattet usw.
Zeigt euch zum Zeichen nackt.
Organisiert einen Streik in eurer Schule oder an eurem Arbeitsplatz mit der Begründung, ihr könntet dort euer Verlangen nach Trägheit und spiritueller Schönheit nicht befriedigen.
Graffitti-Kunst ist eine Zierde für häßliche & öde Denkmäler - PT-Kunst kann auch für öffentliche Plätze geschaffen werden: in Gerichtstoiletten gekritzelte Gedichte, in Parks & Restaurants zurückgelassene kleine Fetische, Copy-Kunst unter Scheibenwischern geparkter Autos, Slogans in Großbuchstaben an Spielplatzmauern, anonyme Briefe an zufällig oder gezielt ausgesuchte Empfänger (Postschwindel), Radioprogramme von Piratensendern, nasser Zement ...
Die Publikumsreaktion oder der durch PT hervorgerufene Schock sollte mindestens so stark sein wie das Gefühl des Terrors, vehementer Abscheu, sexueller Erregung, abergläubiger Ehrfurcht, plötzlichen intuitiven Durchblicks, dadaesker Angst - egal, ob PT einer Person oder Vielen gilt, egal, ob »signiert« oder anonym, wenn sich dadurch nicht irgendjemandes Leben ändert (außer dem des Künstlers), ist er mißlungen.
PT ist ein Akt in einem Theater der Grausamkeit, das keine Bühne, keine Sitzreihen, keine Eintrittskarten hat & keine Mauern kennt. Um überhaupt zu funktionieren, muß PT kategorisch von allen konventionellen Strukturen des Kunstkonsums (Galerien, Publikationen, Medien) getrennt werden. Selbst die situationistischen Guerillataktiken des Straßentheaters sind vermutlich mittlerweile zu sehr bekannt & mit ihnen wird daher gerechnet.
Eine tolle Verführung, die nicht nur der gegenseitigen Befriedigung dient, sondern ein bewußter Akt eines angestrebten wunderschönen Lebens ist - kann das Höchste des PT sein.
Der PTerrorist verhält sich wie ein Bauernfänger, dessen Ziel nicht Geld, sondern VERÄNDERUNG ist.
Macht keinen PT für andere Künstler, macht ihn für Leute, die (zumindest ein paar Augenblicke lang) nicht realisieren werden, daß das, was ihr getan habt, Kunst ist. Vermeidet erkennbare Kunstkategorien, vermeidet Politik, hängt nicht herum, um zu disputieren, seid nicht sentimal, seid unbarmherzig, sucht das Risiko, vandalisiert nur, was verunstaltet werden muß, tut etwas, woran sich Kinder ihr ganzes Leben lang erinnern werden - aber seid nicht spontan, bevor die PT-Muse euch geküßt hat.
Verkleidet euch. Benutzt Falschnamen. Seid eine Legende. Der beste PT ist gesetzeswidrig, laßt euch aber nicht erwischen. Kunst als Kriminalität, Kriminalität als Kunst.

Weird dancing in all-night computer-banking lobbies. Unauthorized pyrotechnic displays. Land-art, earth-works as bizarre alien artifacts strewn in State Parks. Burglarize houses but instead of stealing, leave Poetic-Terrorist objects. Kidnap someone & make them happy. Pick someone at random & convince them they're the heir to an enormous, useless & amazing fortune - say 5000 square miles of Antarctica, or an aging circus elephant, or an orphanage in Bombay, or a collection of alchemical manuscripts. Later they will come to realize that for a few moments they believed in something extraordinary, & will perhaps be driven as a result to seek out some more intense mode of existence.
Bolt up brass commemorative plaques in places (public or private) where you have experienced a revelation or had a particularly fulfilling sexual experience, etc.
Go naked for a sign.
Organize a strike in your school or workplace on the grounds that it does not satisfy your need for indolence & spiritual beauty.
Grafitti-art loaned some grace to ugly subways & rigid public momuments - PT-art can also be created for public places: poems scrawled in courthouse lavatories, small fetishes abandoned in parks & restaurants, xerox-art under windshield-wipers of parked cars, Big Character Slogans pasted on playground walls, anonymous letters mailed to random or chosen recipients (mail fraud), pirate radio transmissions, wet cement...
The audience reaction or æsthetic-shock produced by PT ought to be at least as strong as the emotion of terror - powerful disgust, sexual arousal, superstitious awe, sudden intuitive breakthrough, dada-esque angst - no matter whether the PT is aimed at one person or many, no matter whether it is "signed" or anonymous, if it does not change someone's life (aside from the artist) it fails.
PT is an act in a Theater of Cruelty which has no stage, no rows of seats, no tickets & no walls. In order to work at all, PT must categorically be divorced from all conventional structures for art consumption (galleries, publications, media). Even the guerrilla Situationist tactics of street theater are perhaps too well known & expected now.
An exquisite seduction carried out not only in the cause of mutual satisfaction but also as a conscious act in a deliberately beautiful life - may be the ultimate PT. The PTerrorist behaves like a confidence-trickster whose aim is not money but change.
Don't do PT for other artists, do it for people who will not realize (at least for a few moments) that what you have done is art. Avoid recognizable art-categories, avoid politics, don't stick around to argue, don't be sentimental; be ruthless, take risks, vandalize only what must be defaced, do something children will remember all their lives - but don't be spontaneous unless the PT Muse has possessed you.
Dress up. Leave a false name. Be legendary. The best PT is against the law, but don't get caught. Art as crime; crime as art.
