A #camel reacts before being #sacrificed in honor of those who died during the revolution overthrowing Moammar #Gaddafi, during a gathering at the main square in #Tripoli, #Libya on Sept. 29, 2011.

#Animal sacrifice is older than #history. #Human #beings have #slaughtered #birds and #livestock throughout the ages in attempt to propitiate the #gods—to alter fate, to enhance fortune, to pay for sins.

One of the great hymns of the #Rigveda is that of the #Horse #Sacrifice, which only a king can perform. The rituals continue to this day, as the photographs in this collection show: in the #Muslim and #Hindu worlds, as well as in #Judaism.

The #first #murder related in the #bible stems from jealousy over sacrifice. #Cain’s sacrifice of vegetables did not please God as much as his brother’s sacrifice of animals—and so Cain slew #Abel.

Of the #world’s great #faiths, #only #Buddhism and #Daoism #eschew #rituals of animal sacrifice, indeed, the taking of any life. Indeed, according to legend, one of the #Buddha’s previous #incarnations gave up his #life to #feed a #hungry #tiger.

The various #Christian #sects and denominations very #rarely #perform animal #sacrifices.

But the very Catholic societies of #Spain and #Latin-America still hold #bullfights, which are descended from pagan animal sacrifices. And, of course, at the heart of #Christianity is a #sacrament that is essentially a human sacrifice.

The Satanic Essence of Globalism

The #Archbishop explains the nature of modern Babelism and why it seeks to #erase every aspect of #Christianity from #society:

The essence of #globalism is #satanic, and the essence of #Satanism is #globalist. Because #Satan’s plan is to establish the #reign of the #Antichrist, allowing him to parody #Christ’s earthly life, to imitate His miracles with grotesque wonders, to lead crowds not with the simplicity of #Truth but with #deception and #lies. Globalism is, so to speak, the staging, the script and the scenario that must prepare humanity for the political ascent of the Antichrist, to whom the leaders of the world – his servants – will cede #national #sovereignty so that he becomes a kind of global tyrant.

But the kingdom of the Antichrist is not created out of nothing: it is first necessary to erase what remains of the kingdom of Christ in the institutions, in the culture and in the daily life of the citizens. Moral dissolution is one of the simplest means of subjugating the masses, encouraging them to vice, ridiculing virtue; and, of course, by destroying the natural family, the fundamental cell of society. Once the family is demolished, the children become commodities, products that those with money can order over the Internet, fuelling the vast and growing criminal network, not to mention the surrogacy industry. #Divorce, #abortion, #euthanasia, #homosexuality and #pansexualism, #mutilation for #gender #transition have proven to be effective tools for eliminating not only the revealed #Faith, but also the most sacred principles of #NaturalLaw.

And it is indeed a #religion, the one that is being established with the #Woke ideology; a religion which, like the true Religion but with diametrically opposed goals, intends to impose itself in society, to imbue its #dogmas into the #institutions, the #laws, the #education, the #culture, the #arts and human activities. The globalists apply the Catholic principles of “social kingship,” but proclaim Satan king of society: Te nationum præsides honore tollant publico: colant magistri, judices; leges et artes exprimant. May the rulers of the world publicly honour and extol Thee; May teachers and judges reverence Thee; May the laws and the arts bear Thy mark. These are the words of the hymn of Christ the King, but we see them applied blasphemously by the priests of the #NewWorldOrder to their king, the prince of this world, and to the Antichrist in his time.

Beware though: globalism, as an emanation of #Masonic and revolutionary thought, apparently proclaims #democracy and condemns #absolute regimes; but in fact, it knows very well that the #Monarchy of #DivineRight is the best possible form of government, because it subjugates everyone – including the king himself, who is the #Vicar of Christ in temporal things – to a #transcendent law to which everyone owes #obedience.

It’s a hard thing for many #Americans to accept that the revolutionary concepts of #freedom and #liberty and #equality around which the original #Republic was founded were #evil #philosophical #seeds planted during the #Enlightenment. But the #wicked #nature of their fruits, and the #bitter #harvest they have entailed, can hardly be denied.

On Images Of Christ

I see it all over the place, #2nd-Commandment violations in and on #churches, publications, all over the place. The link here offers some reasons that we #Reformed folk see "#pictures-of-Jesus" as violations of the 2nd Commandment. I hope some of you find it helpful, or at least that will help my friends understand why I wince at such things.

St Declan was an early #Irish #saint credited with the conversion of the Déisi people of east #Munster to #Christianity.

It was these #people - the #Déisi - who founded a settlement in #south-west #Wales.

A key aspect of this overseas link - the #import of #slaves, usually #British Christians, by Irish raiders - would have directly exposed Munster to the influence of Christianity.

It appears that Ibar was a #missionary #before the arrival of St #Patrick but he was also a contemporary of the #saint, thus he is sometimes regarded as a John the Baptist-like figure, the precursor of the national apostle.

In the earlier part of his life, he is said to have been a member of the #druidic order, thus providing an interesting example of the transition from paganism to #Christianity around the time of St Patrick.

Beggerin, of which he is regarded as the patron saint, was formerly an #island in the north of Wexford harbour but it has long since been one of the reclaimed Sloblands.

Bertrand Russell — Fear the Foundation of Religion

"Religion is based, I think, primarily and mainly upon fear. It is partly the terror of the unknown, and partly, as I have said, the wish to feel that you have a kind of elder brother who will stand by you in all your troubles and disputes.
Fear is the basis of the whole thing—fear of the mysterious, fear of defeat, fear of death. Fear is the parent of cruelty, and therefore it is no wonder if cruelty and religion has gone hand-in-hand. It is because fear is at the basis of those two things. In this world we can now begin a little to understand things, and a little to master them by help of science, which has forced its way step by step against the Christian religion, against the Churches, and against the opposition of all the old precepts.
Science can help us to get over this craven fear in which mankind has lived for so many generations. Science can teach us, and I think our own hearts can teach us, no longer to look round for imaginary supports, no longer to invent allies in the sky, but rather to look to our own efforts here below to make this world a fit place to live in, instead of the sort of place that the churches in all these centuries have made it."

Bertrand Russell, Why I Am Not a Christian (1927) FEAR THE FOUNDATION OF RELIGION

Why I Am Not a Christian is a 1927 essay by British philosopher Bertrand Russell that was hailed by The Independent as "devastating in its use of cold logic" and is listed in the New York Public Library's list of the most influential books of the 20th century. It was originally a talk given 6 March 1927 at Battersea Town Hall, under the auspices of the South London Branch of the National Secular Society. It was published that year as a pamphlet and was later published, with other essays, in the 1967 book, Why I Am Not a Christian: And Other Essays on Religion and Related Subjects.
Along with What I Believe (1925) Why I Am Not a Christian (1927) ranks for many as articulate examples of Russell's thoughts. The ideas contained within were and still often are, considered controversial, contentious and - to some of the religious - blasphemous.
