Lossless Audio Does Not Sound Better Than MP3 To Most People
Apple, Amazon, and Tidal offer “lossless audio,” claiming users can “hear the exact same thing” an artist created in the studio. However, it’s a myth that lossless audio objectively sounds better than MP3, and most users can’t hear a difference at all.
The main difference between the lossless audio and MP3 is file size. “Lossless” means it’s the same size as the original track created in the studio, and it’s usually stored as a WAV file.
Even if you are listening to lossless audio, your music is still getting compressed if you’re using Bluetooth.
So, certainly if you are using Bluetooth headphones, you’re likely wasting your time with lossless audio files. I suppose a lot of the hype around lossless audio formats is that some companies also charge more for them, and listeners think they’re getting better quality audio.
Even real audiophiles would be searching very carefully to actually hear any differences, and in a very quiet environment.

An Ancient Human #Story About The Seven Sisters May Have Survived 100,000 years
In the northern hemisphere from October to March, you can look up and see the Pleiades, also known as the Seven Sisters. These stars, like so many others, have #myths attached to them by ancient cultures around the world.
In Greek mythology, the Seven Sisters were the daughters of Atlas and Pleione. Their father, Atlas, was forced to hold up the sky, and was therefore unable to protect his daughters. But to save them from being raped by Orion the hunter, Zeus transformed them into stars.
Indigenous Australian versions of the tale, meanwhile, tell similar #stories of a hunter or young man who try and chase the female Pleiades.
Is it possible the stories of the Seven Sisters and Orion are so old our ancestors were telling these stories to each other around campfires in Africa, 100,000 years ago?
Your Phone Is Not Listening to You: The tech myth has pervaded all corners of society, but its origins show it was never true to begin with
The myth has taken off so much in the last eight years because it feels like it could be true. You do get hyper-targeted ads on Facebook and Google, but it’s not because your phone is listening to you.
You may be typing your thoughts into your phone more than you realize. Yes, you talked about booking a trip to Hawaii, but did you also briefly Google how much flights cost? Did you ask Siri what the best hikes in Maui were? Did you text search on Instagram for beautiful restaurants inside a volcano? That information is sold to advertisers, and you probably tell your phone more than you think.
There’s a bounty of evidence that advertisers can use your search queries, social media usage, and cookies to build a superbly accurate picture of you. That information is tracked by advertisers, so they don’t need your microphone.
However, researchers from Northeastern University tackled this myth in 2018 and found it’s a complete bust. They tested Facebook, Instagram, and over 17,000 other apps, and the researcher found zero instances of an app unexpectedly activating your microphone and sending audio out when not prompted to do so.
So, whilst we know from the Facebook Cambridge Analytica scandal what does actually happen, the fact is there is still zero evidence about microphones being used to listen to all conversations. We’d like to believe it, so the myth does not get stopped. I also fell for this when it was “factually” stated that the advertiser had said it was happening and the webpage was then changed. But it seems now that the webpage never said that at all in the first place.
This sort of thing just makes people more paranoid for no reason. It’s why I always like to have any dissent backed up with some concrete report or evidence. IT is too easy to troll and disagree without reason, but such an argument has zero weight at all.

Life is supposed to be a mixture of masculine and feminine energies – the feminine is the baseline, while the masculine creates individual energies. Modern society is based on masculine principles and uses its feminine energy to support things like consumerism and division, rather than inclusiveness.

When the Wheel of the Year turns to Samhain, we stand before the veils that separate different realities. The veils thin and the souls of the dead can move on to the next plane of existence. Or come back for a visit to us.
The Celts called this otherworld Annwn or Avalon. It was a blessed place of peace and happiness. Perhaps that’s why they weren’t afraid of death as we are. Our religions have made death a scary, painful place, full of fire and punishment. That’s probably why people today are afraid of death, even if they don’t consciously think of a fiery afterlife. It’s in our collective unconscious. Shame on the Christian church for that! Instead of picking the real miracle that Jesus’ life contained – the Resurrection – they chose to pick a symbol of suffering and death for themselves and for us.
It’s time for us to get over that delusional belief and understand that the Universe and Mother Nature re-cycle souls. They don’t punish us for living our lives. Jesus’ death was supposed to redeem us from our fear of death because he showed us that we will Rise again.
So it’s important for us to learn to let go, release what’s no longer of service to us, and LET IT DIE! It will create so much more room in our psyches to create something new in the coming year. And these little ‘deaths’ will get us used to the grand finale of our lives. Our death into new life."...

The Archangel Sandalphon is known as the Angel of Music. He rules over music in heaven and helps people on Earth use music to communicate with God in prayer.
Sandalphon means "co-brother," which refers to Sandalphon's status as the spiritual brother of the archangel Metatron. The ending of -on indicates that he ascended to his position as an angel after first having lived a human life, believed by some to be the prophet Elijah, who ascended to heaven on a horse-drawn chariot of fire and light.
Other spellings of his name include Sandalfon and Ophan (Hebrew for "wheel"). This refers to ancient people's identification of Sandalphon as one of the living creatures with spiritual wheels from a vision recorded in Ezekiel chapter 1 of the Bible.
Roles of Archangel Sandalphon
Sandalphon also receives the prayers of people on Earth when they arrive in heaven, and he then weaves the prayers into spiritual flower garlands to present to God, according to the liturgy for the Jewish Feast of Tabernacles.
People sometimes ask for Sandalphon's help to deliver their prayers and songs of praise to God, and to learn how to use their God-given talents to make the world a better place. Sandalphon is said to have lived on Earth as the prophet Elijah before ascending to heaven and becoming an archangel, just as his spiritual brother, Archangel Metatron, lived on Earth as the prophet Enoch before becoming a heavenly archangel. Some people also credit Sandalphon with leading the guardian angels; others say that Archangel Barachiel leads the guardian angels.

The ancient Jewish and Christian non-canonical Book of Enoch says that Sandalphon rules over the third heaven. The Islamic Hadith says that Sandalphon is in charge of the fourth heaven. The Zohar (a sacred text for Kabbalah) names the seventh heaven as the place where Sandalphon leads other angels. Sandalphon presides over the exit from the spheres of the Kabbalah's Tree of Life.
Other Religious Roles
Sandalphon is said to join the angelic armies that archangel Michael leads to fight Satan and his evil forces in the spiritual realm. Sandalphon is a leader among the seraphim class of angels, who surround God's throne in heaven.

#Pleiades: The Seven Sisters Star Cluster
Have you ever seen the Pleiades star cluster? Even if you have, you probably have never seen it as large and clear as this. Perhaps the most famous star cluster in the sky, the bright stars of the Pleiades can be seen with the unaided eye even from the depths of a light-polluted city. With a long exposure from a dark location, though, the dust cloud surrounding the Pleiades star cluster becomes very evident. The featured 11-hour exposure, taken from the Siding Spring Observatory in Australia, covers a sky area several times the size of the full moon. Also known as the Seven Sisters and M45, the Pleiades lies about 400 light years away toward the constellation of the Bull (Taurus). A common legend with a modern twist is that one of the brighter stars faded since the cluster was named, leaving only six of the sister stars visible to the unaided eye. The actual number of Pleiades stars visible, however, may be more or less than seven, depending on the darkness of the surrounding sky and the clarity of the observer's eyesight.
