According to Qatari internet web site Aljadid, the intiative was suggested by the Chinese government and diplomats from the 4 nations have already started the negotiations.

In major strategic move, UAE says it has withdrawn from USA led Persian Gulf maritime coalition.

☆ The announcement has come amid tensions between #UAE and #US about UAE's growing military ties with #China.

☆ US has constantly been "warning" the Emirati government of Chinese military presence in UAE that could 'hinder ties' between US & UAE.

☆ President #Biden invited UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed a year ago, but Bin Zayed has still not visited US due to the political tensions between the two countries.

☆ Instead, UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed chose to visit #Russia in October last year.

☆ The visit was considered a move by UAE to seek new allies in the region & get itself out of the American 'camp'.

The first batch of Russian SU-35 maybe delivered to Iran by next week.

the last time Iran bought any modern fighter jets was in mid 1970s when Shah's government ordered a large number of F-14 and F16, only a few of those Tomcat F-14s were delivered and all the special designed Iranian F-16s were confiscated by the US government after the groups of fanatic students attacked the US embassy in Tehran starting the long and sad moment in Iran history most people know as "Hostage Crisis"

According to aviation sources, the initial order of 16 SU-35s where changed to 30 and some roumers say Iran will receive some 70 jets.

The pilots of IRGC and Iranian Air Force have been training with Russians for over 1 year and according to unofficial Telegram channel of IRGC, several domestically build air to surface, air to air and air to sea missiles are already being prepared to be attached to the SU-35 and some in the closed Iran-defense group even talking about upgrading the aging electronics used in those planes with the more advanced radar and communication system built by Iranian Defense Research Industry/ies.

Iran Forces US Submarine to Surface in Strait of Hormuz

On Thursday, a top Iranian military commander said the country's navy has warned a nuclear-powered U.S. submarine to surface while it was passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

Iranian Army's Navy Commander Shahram Irani made the remarks in an interview with state-owned IRIB TV's News Network, without elaborating on the date of the event.

Iran's Fateh (Conqueror) submarine detected the the American submarine Florida, through a set of maneuvers, and forced it to surface while the latter was approaching the Strait of Hormuz in "complete silence," he added.

Iran warned the U.S. submarine as it had entered the Iranian territorial waters "to some extent," Irani said, adding the U.S. submarine, accompanied by an escort ship, then corrected its course and continued its journey.

Washington should explain why did its submarine violate Iran's maritime borders and international maritime laws in an important strait, Irani said, calling on the U.S. to observe all international regulations from now on.

He said Iran will pursue the case through international bodies and organizations, warning that such an "illegitimate and dangerous" presence by the United States poses a challenge to everyone.

The U.S. Navy said last week the nuclear-powered guided-missile submarine Florida was operating in the Middle East to support the Bahrain-based U.S. Fifth Fleet.

#Qatar and #Bahrain say they will resume diplomatic ties

The domino effects of peace deal between #Iran and #SaudiArabia is showing more positive results.

While #US is pathetically passive in the whole process, the countries in the region seems to be moving towards a peaceful coexistence brokered by #China to end decades of anomacity and war.

It is a few years old, but sadly still accurate!

The Arab leaders, despite their effort to normalize relationship with Iran and Syria, still don't care about Palestine or Israel except their economical, political and military ties with the apartheid regime that helps them with their inferiority complex and global American push for creating an Arab NATO to stand up against Iran with the help of Pentagon and Israel.

How will that idea survive the current talks between Iran and the GCC? What will happen when Syria is once again allowed into the Arab league? What if the roumers of Egypt selling 40 000 missiles to Russia are true?

I am sure time will show us what is going one. The 3D chess game of the political clusterfuck of western Asia just got a couple of new dimensions.

For the first time in 7 years, 2 groups of delegates from Iran will visit Saudi Arabia to prepare the opening of Iran's embassy in #Ruadh and a consulate in #Jeddah later this month.

Both countries seems to be genuinely sincere in their push for normalization of relationship clouded by almost a decade of hostilities and decades of anomacity between the 2 neighboring countries.

The first Russian SU-35s have arrived in #Iran

Israeli sources say that the number of fighter jets being delivered are between 25 and 32 and not 16 as the Iranian sources were saying.

The telegram channel of IRGC says that the Iranian pilots have been training in Russia for over a year and the arrival of the planes in Tehran was celebrated in a welcoming ceremony with many high ranking government and air force officials.

The planes will be adapted to be able to carry domestically produced air to air, air to sea and air to ground smart bombs as well as the "secret" new long distance suicide drones

In another shocking development, Basir Assad, dictator of Syria arrived in Abu Dhabi to meet with the dictators of United Arab Emirate.

The arch enemies of yesterday, seems to be shaking hands and the leaders of those countries receive military escort on arrival, the red carpet and warm welcome into the new "Arab brotherhood".

It seems like the Chinese position in negotiating peace between Iran and Saudi Arabia had some side effects as well, including the acceptance of Syria into the Arab league, group they were kicked out of over a decades ago.

Despite the nauseating image of these monsters meeting each other, it may have positive impact on the war thorn region facing the growing danger of ISIS and the radical fraction of AlQaeda (the old AlQaeda, just like the Taliban seems to be more friendly with the west and tolerant toward their former enemies).

Will this last? Can this finally end the 20 years of bloodbath ignited by the American war on terror and the criminal invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan as well as daily bombings of countries in west Asia and north Africa by US and it's NATO "peace loving" aggressors.

Will the 2023 be the year of peace in the region? i for one am too afraid of feeling hopeful, but I honestly hope my fear s are wrong and we see a slow end of the "New World Order" that Bush and his criminal neo-con gang created.

Halabja : 35 years later!

Time flies. It wasn't yesterday, but I still remember the first I heard the news on shortwave radio.

Saddam had used chemical weapons again, but this time targeting civilians in IrQi Kurdistan.

Reports were mentioning some horrifying scenes of people lying dead on the allys and pathways, door fronts or in their homes.

US and UK did everything in their power to prevent the UN to condemn the Saddam regime and put the blame first on Iran, then under pressure, changing the UN resolution to condemn both sides using chemical weapons.

Even 10 years later, long after operation Desert Storm and massive bombing campaign that followed, the no fly zone over Iraqi Kurdistan and occasional bombing of Saddam military operating there, a team of reporters from American TV channel CBS went to visit the place.

The 60 minutes team visited Halabja, met with the locals and went to see the graves. The people were desperate, 100s of people were still suffering from the aftermath of the chemical attacks. Without any help, they were suffering and dying.

Even the ground water was contaminated, partially because of the clean up operation, but also from the corps of the victims leaking deadly chemicals into the ground water that people used for drinking and farming.

The short 20 minutes or so that the CBS team used in their broadcast went missing during the lies of post 9/11, when suddenly US started to scare the world of the danger of Saddam with his WMDs and Collin Powell went to the UN and showed the world what he claimed being enough Anthrax to kill thousands of people in the most horrifying way.

What they didn't say was that Powell was one of Reagan's men working with Saddam's army to coordinate their attacks against Iranian and Kurdish forces. He was probably aware of fhd usage of a cocktail of chemical weapons given to Saddam by German chemical companies, with the help of French and Italian scientist and American helicopters and Soviet chemical bomb canisters. But Powell didn't say anything about those, he was quiet for 15 years and never ever told anyone how much help and Support Saddam received from Americans, French and Britta to fight the barbarian army of Iranians. Because after all Iran was the enemy, not Saddam.

35 years have past, none of those who provided those deadly weapons to Saddam were prosecuted nor named or shamed.

Saddam is gone, and once again, Iran is the target of the US and the memory of those victims of chemical attacks against Halbja and over 30 Iranian sites that no one even care to remember, are all gone.

US is now the savior of the free world, standing up alongside other NATO nations against the new enemy from the east, Putin and his friends Lukashenko and Reisi with the hint of help from China.

America is the source of good, and only grumpy old men like me remember the dirty history of men who are acting like they are the moral guardians of our world.

And for people of Halabja, no one really cares.

Haaretz: Israeli ex-PM Naftali Bennett called the resumption of ties between Iran and Saudi Arabia a "grave and dangerous development for Israel and a significant diplomatic victory for Iran"

One interesting note is the fact Shamkhani, who was in the hiding for a long time took the center role in the negotiations and was with the team that traveled to China for the signing the deal.

#Iran and #SaudiArabia have agreed to re-establish diplomatic relations within two months, Iranian state media reported on Friday.

Following talks in #Beijing, the foreign ministers of the two countries are set to meet again in the near future, and the countries will re-open their embassies, the report said.

Ali Shamkhani, the secretary of the Iran's Supreme National Security Council, thanked China for mediating between the parties. The Saudi Foreign Ministry has confirmed the deal in a joint statement with Iran and China.

It is also interesting that the #Biden (the man who is not #Trump) role in the process and his push to counter this agreement with melding between the fascist coalition government of #Netanyahu and the KSA.

In a Wall Street Journal report published Thursday, sources said that the Biden administration is heavily involved in back-channel talks between the two states. Both U.S. President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are seeking to reach a deal with the Saudis as an apparent counter to Iran as it ratchets up its own nuclear program, and continues providing military aid to the Russians during its war with #Ukraine.

When Netanyahu won Israel's November election, he began to publicly push for formal ties with Saudi Arabia, in an effort to build upon the success of the so-called Abraham Accords that were brokered two years ago under his previous government with the United Arab Emirates and #Bahrain.

Inhabitants of #Qeshm Island in Persian Gulf (right by the Hormoz sound) have a unique and fascinating culture.

One of the few places in Iran. Where women wear a nose mask as part of their traditional clothing and alsoean adaptation to Hijab.

Their food culture is a mix of southern Iranian, Indian and Persian Gulf Arabic. Their celebrations and parties are amazingly wild and welcoming.

I used to live there while I was hiding from IRGC in Tehran and met some really interesting people during those 2 years thee.

The image is from a traditional wedding preparation I found on Iran news telegram channel.

When money talks, pleasing Arabs of Persian gulf is on the table for all, even the FIFA!

It is truly sad how much the Arab countries around Persian gulf hate the name Persian Gulf. They have spend 100s of millions of dollars lobbying everyone, from Google, to Apple, National Geographic and now even FIFA to use the made up name Arabian Gulf instead of it.

Imagine if Americans were that pathetic and fought to change Gulf of Mexico to Gold of Texas or something similar, because they feel inferior when hearing any reference to Gulf of Mexico in their daily life.

As IRI is becoming more and more isolated and hated, the push from Arab nations to force this change to become permanent.

As the icing in top of the cake, the Iraqi team playing a match in the Iran built football stadium, referred to Persian Gulf as "Arabian Gulf" just like the shit hole countries in the Persian Gulf region.

And people wonder why Iranians are pissed off at this criminal gang ruling the country.
