#Oman is the only country in the region that has closed its airspace to American and British planes bombing Yemen

Currently, Oman has closed its airspace to aircraft from the countries of the anti-Houthi coalition, which also includes the #UnitedStates, #Britain, #Australia, the #Netherlands and a number of other countries.

What is interesting is that Oman has long-standing military-political relations with Britain and the United States, but nevertheless did not support the operation, unlike Bahrain, which made its military bases and airfields available to the troops of the anti-Houthi coalition .

Saudi Minister: There will be a direct railway connection between Tehran, Riyadh, Mecca and Medina

This is the first time I have read this and wondering if the old dream of making a tunnel under the straight of Hormoz (about 8-10km long) and a bridge connecting Bandar Abbas to Hormoz Island? Is a mega billion dollars project, but if it is planned correctly, can create huge benefits for all the countries in the region and cut the carbon footprint of those countries.

Using a dual line high speed train route would create an easy access for countries in Arabian peninsula and west Asia and even Russia and China..

I for one would love to see this project become reality because it will be a bridge/tunnel of peace between the nations and helps tourism and commerce in the countries on both sides of the Oman sea and Persian Gulf.

"The Iran-Iraq Joint Chamber of Commerce Chairman, Yahya Al-e Eshaq, announced on 10 June that Iraq has released $2.76 billion worth of Iranian funds in gas export money owed by #Baghdad.

#Iraq received a #sanctions waiver from the #US to make the payment.

According to an unnamed foreign ministry official that spoke with #Reuters, Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein got the clearance to make the payment from US State Secretary Antony #Blinken on the sidelines of the #Riyadh Conference on Thursday."

Iran, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Oman are planning to create a united navy to safeguard the transportation of goods and oil through the strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf.

According to Qatari internet web site Aljadid, the intiative was suggested by the Chinese government and diplomats from the 4 nations have already started the negotiations.

This is a biggest news since the normalization of the diplomatic ties between Iran and the countries south of Persian Gulf and a giant step to remove the US and UK navies from the strategic region.

This is the greatest news of our time!

Saudi delegate together with Omani team will arrive in Sana to discuss the final terms of a
- 1 year ceasefire starting immediately
- Work in cooperation with Omani delegates to set up the transition toward the permanent ceasefire and a peace deal by "Eid-Al-Fitr, the end of holy month of Ramadan later this month.
- Release of all POWs on both sides
- Immediate end of KSA/UAE imposed blockade, backed by the US and UK navies (no words from them to accept this yet).

This is one of the happiest days of my life, a hope for peace and an end to one of the bloodiest war in modern time, with millions of people suffering an artificial famine and health emergency in one of the poorest countries on earth. A country that not many people seems to care about is finally seeing the opening of a path to peace.
