Китайский УАЗик подорожал в три раза по пути в Россию: новый BAW 212 стоит 4 млн рублей

image

image

#Washington Post: Biden, testing Xi, will bar Hong Kong’s leader from economic summit

— "The #WhiteHouse has decided it will bar Hong Kong’s top government official from attending a major economic summit in the #UnitedStates this fall, according to three U.S. officials familiar with the matter, in the latest test of President àBiden’s bid to reset relations with #China.

Chief Executive John Lee, along with 10 other #HongKong and Chinese officials, was sanctioned by Washington in 2020 after implementing a national security law, imposed by #Beijing, that enabled the targeting of pro-democracy leaders, tarnished the reputation of the courts and earned international condemnation as leaders sought to silence dissent.

Lee, then Hong Kong’s security chief, was elevated last year to chief executive, handpicked by Beijing to continue what critics say is a broader campaign of repression in the once-semiautonomous city. He has helped execute Beijing’s reimagining of the territory, where institutions from schools to the media now operate under new red lines that have eroded freedoms."

"Tofu dreg bonanza... it's getting really out of control. China's new infrastructure is running into some serious problems... and there's a clear reason why. "

Regarding the video posted above
...starting at 36 minutes in, there are photographs of the huge 6 lane tunnel that was built in #China recently, which began leaking water almost immediately, and which eventually but very quickly completely filled with water while thousands of inhabited vehicles were trapped inside.
The actual death toll, in the many thousands, was much different than the statistic the CCP #propaganda reported, a few hundred.
#Drone footage of the thousands of vehicles that were removed from the tunnel and lined up in rows in empty fields, help to complete the story.
Streets in #Beijing and other large cities are bucking, massive sink holes are forming, simply because no precautions are taken when infrastruce is built. to see what lies underneath, or checked to see whether they will be subject to flooding.
Explosions, fires, flooding, buildings and bridges and tunnels collapsing suddenly, all are part of everyday Chinese life, not to mention serial killers and attacks of all kinds on citizen from other citizens, people collapsing or dying in the streets, in full view of completely unresponsive witnesses.
Life in the West is dangerous enough these days, but China is #hell #on #Earth, and yet most of this could be so easily prevented.
The CCP's propaganda claims that China is unbelievably rich, powerful and prosperous, but more and more they are stealing from their own people, and the truth is more likely that they are simply bankrupt, both morally and financially.

The Chinese Government Tries to Ban a Protest Song from Major Platforms

https://www.hrw.org/news/2023/06/20/hong-kong-tech-firms-should-oppose-protest-song-ban

In a June 20, 2023 letter, more than 24 human rights and digital rights groups urged companies including Apple, Google, Meta, Twitter, and Spotify to oppose a potential injunction by the High Court of Hong Kong to protect the right to freedom of expression and access to information in Hong Kong and around the world. The injunction, if ordered by the court, would require that companies remove the song from their respective platforms, effectively banning it online.

The sought-for injunction reflects the Chinese government’s expanding efforts to control information not just within its borders, but around the world. Between July 2020 and June 2022, the Hong Kong government was responsible for 50 instances in which Meta said it was forced to remove content globally.

The song is called "Glory to Hong Kong," and (as you would expect) there are both Chinese and English versions.

#Arab #League Visits #China’s #Xinjiang Region, Rejects #Uyghur Genocide

— "China is using a recent visit by an Arab League delegation to Xinjiang to highlight what it says is support of its policies in the region.

Experts, however, say the praise that Beijing has reportedly received from #diplomats and officials who took part in the trip is nothing more than "Chinese #propaganda" and an attempt to #whitewash human rights #violations there.

China’s treatment of Uyghur and other #Muslim minorities in Xinjiang is a major source of international concern. Western countries have raised allegations of forced labor, religious persecution and some, including the #UnitedStates, have classified what is happening in Xinjiang as genocide, an accusation #Beijing denies."

Douglas Macgregor joins us to discuss what is going on in Ukraine in this breaking news update.
Macgregor gives his assessment of where things stand on the ground. They talk about the astounding casualty numbers and the horrifying nature of the battle over #Bakhmut. Macgregor then gives some predictions for the next stages of the war. They talk about the rising tension with China. They agree there is no need to go to war with #China but discuss what may explain the sudden attention shift towards #Beijing. Lastly, they talk about the effects of cronyism in the weapons industry and the probability of a nuclear war.

Douglas Macgregor is concerned about the future of the United States and Europe. He stresses the need for nations to work together. Interesting and probably honest views on the conflict in Ukraine and American policy. I don't agree with all of his views, but the interview provides details on the current problems.

Chinese President Xi Jinping held talks with Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, who is on a state visit to China, at the Great Hall of the People in #Beijing.

The Chinese President called on the two sides to maintain regular strategic communication and increase experience sharing on national governance. The two sides need to be steadfast in seeing each other as important development opportunities, in supporting each other's development paths which fit national realities, and in supporting stronger solidarity and collaboration among developing countries.

The two sides need to deepen cooperation, steadily advance the major cooperation projects, and further unleash cooperation potential in agriculture, energy, infrastructure, space, aviation, innovation, etc, Xi said, adding that the two sides need to explore ways for stronger cooperation on green economy, digital economy, clean energy, etc.

"China welcomes more high-quality products from #Brazil into its market. #China will actively explore greater synergy between its Belt and Road Initiative and Brazil's reindustrialization strategy," the Chinese president said, adding that both sides need to capitalize on the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic relations next year to carry out more people-to-people exchanges, and cultivate stronger public support for Sino-Brazilian friendship.
