#sorrow

tord_dellsen@diasp.eu

We see that we have been thoughtless,
Straying from the path of #mindfulness.
We have stored up #afflictions and #ignorance,
Which have brought about so much #aversion and #sorrow.
There are times we have been weary of life
Because we are so full of #anxiety.
Because we do not understand others,
We are #angry and #resentful.
First we try to #reason with each other, then we #blame.
Every day the #suffering increases, making the rift greater.
There are days when we are unwilling to speak to each other,
Unwilling to look at each other in the face.
And we create internal formations, which last for a long time.

A quotation from Millay, Edna St. Vincent

So up I got in anger,
And took a book I had,
And put a ribbon on my hair
To lease a passing lad.
And, “One thing there’s no getting by —
I’ve been a wicked girl.” said I;
“But if I can’t be sorry, why,
I might as well be glad!”

Edna St. Vincent Millay (1892-1950) American poet
“The Penitent”, st. 3, A Few Figs from Thistles (1921)

I just can't understand how these people manage to stay strong.

120 days of death, destruction and sorrow. The emergency workers are the ones seeing and feeling the worse of the conflict.

I can personally relate to this picture. And the horrors have haunted me for decades. But those were nothing compared to what these guys have been witnessing daily.

Three Days of National Mourning for Shipwreck Victims in Greece

Don't expect Hollywood making a movie about them, or a museum with the names that keep getting larger.

The human trackers making obscene amount of money in the country "liberated"" by NATO with bloody hands of Hillary and Sarkozi is now a heaven for slave markets and human traffickers.

People get max at me for despising NATO and it's fake facade of caring for humans and lives of people, but that's limited to the " civilized Europeans ", Africans and wear asian's lives are cheap and global politics to please Saudi Kingdom and UAE monsters was far more important than truth and acting with caution when destroying the lives of 10s of millions from @Pakistan to #Morocco, and the 4,5 million deaths as the results of these policies, will never get a memorial day, nor will anyone ever bold a month of remembrance for them.

Over 80 people died last night, riding on a boat with 590 others. A boat made for 20 passenger max was used to pushed away desperate and hopeful immigrants, just like I did, on a tiny boat over Persian Gulf some 38 years ago.

None of them are welcome, not in their home country where life is hell, nor the neighboring countries that are not much better and at best give them slave like working conditions or sale of their bodies to survive, and in Europe, they are called invaders, criminals and illegal occupied who need to sent back to the hell hole American war on terror, #capitalism's blooming economy for 1% and ghettos and slums for the majority not to forget #prison, @torture, àrape and #death for many of them.

Look the other way. Send another billion to #Ukraine to defend the western values and to fight the Hitler's reincarnated #Putin. That's all what is worth defending and our attention.

Those men, women and children who died sill just be put down in an unnamed grave without any ceremony or remembrance. Their families and loved one may never know what happened to them and live in the hole that they made it to freedom so they can be home street sellers. Dumpster dwellers or reason why people hate them to put a tent to keep warm, because they depreciate their property value and make Europe look like Africa!

A quotation by Eliot, George

I never will believe that our youngest days are our happiest. What a miserable augury for the progress of the race and the destination of the individual, if the more matured and enlightened state is the less happy one! Childhood is only the beautiful and happy time in contemplation and retrospect: to the child it is full of deep sorrows, the meaning of which is unknown.

George Eliot (1819-1880) English novelist [pseud. of Mary Ann Evans]

Letter to Sara Hennell (May 1844)
